You can argue the south but those teams are competative and turning a corner, you have 2 possibly 3 franchise qbs with Andy Luck, Marriota and if a Qb whisperer could fix Bortles. Houston always brings defense.
Ravens are the 1 team thats always been able to go into NE and beat them or put up a legit fight.
Gotta rebuild the defense, more pass rushers,CBs, Lbr/S
Beef up Oline and find a couple weapons
Agree to your division reference. I would love to see re-alignment of divisions. Imagine if AFC North consisted of Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New England and Cinci. No way New England sweeps every year. I have always stated that being in that weak division helps them greatly.

Loyalty to Kubiak to the point that he didn't stay back as OC when Kubiak left for Denver but instead followed him there. I think that ruffled John's feathers and understandably so. Now, while what Dennison did hurt the Ravens progress with Kubiak's offense in 2015, I think John should still tap into his availability and give him a call and get him here. Because the team is bigger than John Harbaugh.
I don't think that ruffled his feathers at all. Harbaugh has been around long enough to know that when a Head Coach is hired he usually takes "his guys" with him. Was he disappointed ? sure but nothing about his ego will stop him from calling Dennison IF that is the direction that he wants to go. He knows that he needs to get it right whatever he decides for next season because his seat is getting warmer.

In reality, I think most of us feel that way. There are always going to be hate mongers on here that think they know it all as to what should be done. I agree with Bisciotti's assessment that firing people all the time is not a good way to run a business. If some on these boards had their way every coach would have fired even in 2012 Superbowl win. Changes will be made and I believe that the balanced offence will happen. I trust in our owner and believe that all personnel gets that he will give all the tools and support needed to be successful and that he can only be so patient. Some self proclaimed fans want to pay every player and not lose them, that is impossible. They want everybody fired after a down season and as our owner stated, that is just not how we do things here. We are not the Cleveland Browns, we are the RAVENS! Fans (if they truly are) need to have faith and hold on because this ship will sail.

Really? With Correa? What have you seen from him in his NFL experience that makes you think he "can handle it"? He has shown nothing. If he could have handled it wouldn't he have made it to active roster more?

So figure that out. If the changes that we have made have not made us better , then it would be logical to assume that changes are needed in the areas that haven't been changed. Eventually the common denominator shows itself.
#5 DUMERVIL... While the analysts criticize Dumervil using his injury and stats as a reason, I think it's somewhat unfair as he did suffer an ACL tear, and didn't make it back until week 12 or 13? It's the first real injury he's suffered. And he, apparently, worked his butt off to get back sooner.
I thought it was his Achilles?
I agree that Rick Dennison should be at or near the top of our list for OC. I believe he was Flacco's Qb coach when Kubiak was here. He worked on Flacco's mechanics from day 1.
We need Sizzle or Doom to put a hit on Big Ben just like Bart Scott did! Priceless
36 minutes ago, rossihunter2 said:if stephon tuitt's out then we really need to run the ball - he's probably been their best defensive player all year and he makes shazier and timmons look good too - if ronnie can be better against harrison (and it would be hard for him not to be better than last time) then we should at least be able to give joe more time and the run game more of a chance than the last game between these two teams
we have a lot of offensive players who have now at least flashed in certain games - perriman, pitta, wallace, flacco, west, dixon, smithy have all had encouraging games - now if more than a couple of those guys can perform on the same day then we are always gonna have a chance offensively - this is an offense with explosive potential that has never had more than 1 or 2 guys play well in a particular game (apart from vs dolphins)
the player i worry about on the steelers is eli rogers - we've never really had problems eliminating bell and brown from most games we play against them - the problem is gonna be making sure we have enough defense left over to stop the less dominant threats - if ladarius green is out that helps and allows either webb or weddle to come up to the line or help out in the slot - and im not as worried about sammie coates because he has horrendous hands and has disappeared down the stretch
Sometimes, the ones you don't worry about, end up being the hero. All bases need to be covered. This is a Playoff game. Full steam ahead and if there was ever a time to start fast and score a lot this is it. AND if we do jump out to a big lead PLease do not go to a Prevent Defense in the 4th Qtr. I think it was Parcells that said "the only thing it prevents is ;you from winning"
What I'm really afraid of about the steelers ghame is not Roethlisberger, Bell or Brown - it's the penalties. We kept racking up them - and often totally unnecessary ones - against lesser opponents. One cannot but fear how penalties are gonna be kept in bay against the steelers in Pittsburgh...
That is a good point. I think there will be a few Personal Fouls called in this game. Just have to watch out that nobody gets ejected. This could be a Flag Fest. Hope not.
I would have put Lamar Woodley on the list before Jeff Reed. Who remembers that Woodley was asked if the Ravens could win a Super Bowl with Flacco and he answered "Not in my lifetime! Then Flacco and the Ravens went out and DID IT!. Priceless.
This game, these two teams will beat the snot out of each other even more because of the implications this game has. Just hope we will be healthy enough to play the last week. lol. The blood and guts will be flying.

Perhaps it is Harbaugh's responsibility but both proved lax in that yesterday. I am being kind with the word 'lax' actually. Joe after 9 yrs and a SB victory still seems to be terrible at recognition and vision of the field and decision making. If he is on, he is great but this season he is hardly on.
Weird. In the same game, Flacco "doesn't see" the defender on a bonehead play but that throw to SSS was beautiful!

My question is why is he starting over Zachary Orr? Performance wise Orr has been better. I wonder if he is in the doghouse? Haven't heard about a injury. I cant figure it out.
They don't have any other choice than to say they are confident do they?

Look again. It was definitely taunting head butt. Very stupid penalty. Guess it was "caught up in the moment" thing.

Ray keep doing you!
For real. People getting on Ray for criticizing Flacco but people on here do it all the time. Go figure. The man does have a tad of experience.

I agree with you except I don't think we are THAT young. Suggs, Doom, Smith, Wallace, Webb, Weddle, Flacco, Pitta, Cox, Hester, Koch, Levine, McCellan, Powers, J. Smith, Zuttah are eithr right at 30 or older. Doesn't mean they don't preform, just not as young as you might think.
Regular or not-We have beaten them in Foxboro which most teams haven't done. I like our chances and think that Flacco will have his best game of the year. It should be close. Need to get past Miami first.
Just now, The Greek said:must win game imo with the patriots on deck in their house which most likely is a loss.
I wouldn't say it is likely a loss. We have always played them well and have beaten them more than most teams. Same story as always, as long as we can get to Brady and rattle him we can win. Flacco always seems to go next level when facing Brady, and with more weapons this time around, it should be a good game. I can tell you this--If Brady went to block against us as he did against the Jets, we would have destroyed him and not wussed out on hitting him like they did. Nobody likes hitting Brady more than Sizzle.
TE's and WR's beware-You are facing Burfict this week. The leagues dirtiest player.
Just now, January J said:After Pittsburgh and Cleveland it did seem like we were getting better... Just so happened we had to play the hottest team in the league without our #1 cb...and still put up a pretty darn good fight. But I digress. This Sunday will truly tell us where we stand. If we can't finally beat Cincinnati even with AJ then yes we are in trouble. Still doesn't mean I don't want to see them in the playoffs though.
The way we are playing, 7-9 looks to be right. Putting up a "darn good fight" doesn't get the "W".
Just now, January J said:So you'd rather them just not make it? The ravens are NEVER one and done in the playoffs, we ain't Cincinnati. I for one would love to get in and see average joe transform into January Joe.
Not happening. The only thing that would spell an end to harbaughs tenure is a losing season next year. And it will probably be a mutual thing. I don't see that happening though- and we still have to see how this year pans out. 10-6 is still a good possibility- although 9-7 is most likely IMO. And considering last years record- that's a pretty successful turnaround. It would take most teams multiple years to rebound from a season like that. And once again- its not like we're getting blown away- we're right there every game. Dallas was the only team to beat us by more than one score and they're a power house, who we outplayed in the first half.
Not so sure that this season isn't a losing season. We are not getting better each week. Just saying, gotta be a realist
Just now, VermontRaven said:I do. While we haven't looked pretty, we've won 2 of our last 3, with our only loss coming on the road to the team with the NFL's best record. without our best corner. And 1 of the 2 wins was versus our division rival who is tied with us for the division. We have the #2 defense and we all know Flacco has a history of turning it on in the playoffs. So YES, I would love to see this team in the playoffs!
Well consider this- We have only beaten teams with losing records and bad teams at that. Come playoffs there are not any of those teams left to play.

Wrong. You wouldn't be getting "a fresh perspective" or anything different. DeCosta has been working the draft hand in hand with Ozzie, and that means the missed picks are on him too. Not 1 man shoulders the blame here and our owner backs that up.
