Well, I know they want me but I am not happy about the way we parted when they traded me. I was out of the country and found out about it on the news. But I'm still pondering, it might come down to $.

The FO. wants him and I believe the odds are good he will be a Raven in 2017

Swallow what pride? He came out on national television and said he wants him back.

And right there is the problem.
I'm with Law215. I love this pick. With Jimmy, Tavon, Carr and now Humphrey??? We have a great set of CB's. Add in Weddle, Jefferson, Webby, WOW. We've got a secondary this year.
Agree. It's amazing how just because we didn't pick "their player", people say Oh No! another 7-9 8-8 year. They need to chill, more picks to come.

Richard sherman
Antonio brown
Brandon marshall
Robert mathis
Elvis dumervil
Marques colston
David johnson
And lets not forget zachary orr who went undrafted
They won't calm down because they know everything. If it's not the player THEY want or a big flashy name, they are going to say they suck and Ozzie sucks. To them, Ozzie is making all the decisions by himself so it is all on him. Little do they know.

I am not saying definitively that he was the bpa because really we don't know. But I think it is possible that both Allen and Foster fell down their board because of injuries.
Agree. Some on here just wanted a flashy, sexy pick with guys they have heard about. They don't take into consideration that they have huge injury concerns. Leave football decisions to people that know, not people that think they know.

Word is Jones may not go until late 3rd or 4th round

Word is Tennessee will trade up to get him before we pick
35 minutes ago, BMORE21 said:we better not take no OL in first
Don't be surprised if we do. Cam Robinson is a plug and play right away, right tackle that we need. Not that it WILL happen but don't be surprised. We won't be picking at 16 anyway so if he is still there at 22-25 we could very well turn that ticket in.
22 hours ago, Bilbo said:My best guess:
1) Corey Davis, WR
2) Fabian Moreau, CB
3) Ryan Anderson, OLB
3B) Will Holden, OT
4) Ethan Pocic, C
5) Trey Hendrickson, OLB
6) Connor Harris, ILB
Don't see your 1 & 2 coming true just on health reasons alone.
IMO, it's looking more and more that we will trade out of 16 regardless.
If Williams is still there at 16, he is a must. But something tells me that we are going to trade out of 16 to about 22-25 and pick up another 3rd rounder. Just feels that way.
Hensley predicting losses at Oakland an Squeelers because of not containing the Qb's late in the game? All the Defensive upgrades we have done so far takes care of that. They are wins baby! 11-5. Go Ravens!
12 minutes ago, Chuckx999 said:They are still "WAY" behind the Steelers. The offense hasn't changed. Play calling will be the same people, so that's at least 4 losses. WR's are poor, TE's are poor, the OL is "WHO EVER SHOWS UP PLAYS" ???? QB plays like his knee is still bad and his throws are way off!!
The "D" might be better but there isn't a Ray Lewis or Ed Reed to make them play like the are a top 5 "D" in the 4th quarter.
We still have years to wait .
You know nothing Jon Snow. lol

Maxx Williams was the best tight end in his draft class and everyone talked about him being a 1st round pick. I know looking back Howard is obviously more gifted and athletic, but I still think he will likely be there at #16.
Agree, no TE at #16. IMO if Williams is there at 16 we take him. If not trading out and falling 5 spots and picking up a couple of picks is not a bad move at all providing they can still get BPA that is on their board.

KAFUSI.. that's like 3 rookies we just got to replace them.. ALL 3 DIDNT PLAY LAST YEAR.. its like adding 3dl to our DRAFT ... AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
Just the CAPS OFF key.
6 minutes ago, stixfix69 said:If we could have kept guy i would have no issue with the Jernigan trade, hopefully Henry has a strong camp and can assert himself along with the others we have on the roster, but i think we will miss Guy very underrated player IMO....
Agree big time on Guy. He will be missed more than fans think. He is one of those players that is not talked about a lot, flashy etc. but he was very good at what he does. Some have compared him to Kruger but he is way better IMo.
I don't have any issue with the Jernigan trade only because there is no guarantee that he has a "ball out" year this year. IMO, we will get just as much production from Pierce, Henry and the others that will rotate in. I think we will be just fine.
1 hour ago, rmcjacket23 said:1. For the cap space.
2. Because he's not a very good Center and I don't think we had any intention of him being on the team in 2017 regardless. We cut and trade players all the time with no obvious replacement available. That's what FA and the draft is for.
I doubt Mangold really has much leg to stand on in terms of contract negotiations. This isn't the first wave of FA where he has multiple suitors. He maybe only has a couple teams even interested in him at this point. An obvious declining, older player coming off significant injury is not going to be somebody where negotiations are going to be substantial.
Agree. Not to mention that players are very hesitant to sign injury waivers, which I am sure our FO wants him to do.
9 hours ago, cobrajet said:I guess I don't know. I just have a feeling this young man is going to turn it up after seeing what Williams got. He would be a fool not to. My money is on him having a real good year.
If that is true and he does have a "great year", we wouldn't be able to afford him anyway next year. Strike while the iron is hot. This was a good-smart move.
15 hours ago, mendii said:This was a bad move imo, he probably would've given us 3rd or 4th round compensation next year, and instead we ship him away just to move up in the same round... We didn't even get an extra pick. Our FO must really love this draft. I'm just not seeing the value here.
Disagree. The only way we could have received a third rd compensatory pick for him is if he balls out, gets maximum playing time and signs a huge contract. Don't see that happening as his play in the second half of last season fell off dramatically. Moving up 25 spots in a very deep and talented draft makes all the sense in the world. Contingent on the pick being productive. IMO this was a good move.
4 minutes ago, Tdot.to.Bmore said:I really don't care about a short week. Every team goes through it, there isnt a perfect schedule out there for anybody. You play to win the game and move onto the next week.
I would rather play the steelers on MNF since we have an extra day to prepare. That is a much better option then to play another team on MNF and have a short week to play the Steelers on a Sunday. You see it just doesn't matter. You are so caught up on typically this and most people that, blah blah blah.
It sounds like a great idea to me
You don't care about a short week because you aren't the one playing. The "I don't care" mantra of another fan that thinks the players owe it to them just because they root for the team. SMH

He worked out as one at his Pro Day and looked the part with crisp routes and sticky hands. I doubt teams are really considering him as a top running back prospect at this point and more of a utility player. Whether that helps his draft spot or not remains to be seen, but one team that should take him in round 1 is the Ravens. McCaffery in the slot would be an immediate starter and chain mover for Joe for years to come.
Very very doubtful that happens. He may not even be picked on Day 1

What indications? They said they wanted him back, we said we want him back. He has said nothing. NO indications there.
