  1. Whats up fellow Ravens Fans!! I'm originally from the Eastern Shore of MD but moved recently to Tampa, Florida and needless to say I bleed purple. Direct TV's Sunday Ticket has saved any withdraws I would of had by not getting any Ravens games down here, but it would be cool to hang out with some Ravens Fanatics on gameday. The Dolphins are hosting the Ravens this fall so that could be a possibility or better yet the Super Bowl is held in Tampa this year so LET's GO RAVENS...this is the year! Anyways if your in the tampa area and want to party with some fellow Raven lovers hit me back.
  2. I think if they see KO as a priority than they are going to have to restructure the Flacco deal to come even close to a new deal for KO. If they don't do anything to Joe's current deal than I think we can pretty much guarantee KO is a goner. I personally think keeping him should be the #1 priority but it's not going to be easy. I don't see any way we lose out on Tucker. Even at a #1, 2 or 3 contract for a kicker it shouldn't break the bank either way and Tucker is worth it IMO. He's reliable, has a great attitude, and some of his numbers he has put up are pretty telling as to what kind of career he has the potential to have. I was there for the Matt Stover years and it was nice to know your guy was going to make the kick more than not. Upshaw is solid and I think they make an offer but probably get outbid elsewhere. He's been an under the radar kind of player but nothing really stands out with they guy. It'll be interesting to see how his situation plays out.
  3. Well Ravens fans in Florida, I have just got word that I will be moving on to the DC area but have been a part of the FL fanbase for the past five years and just wanted to thank you guys who were able to give good advice on how and where to watch games and other useful information along the way. Hopefully I can figure out whether or not I can view Ravens games without the help of the Sunday Ticket being so close to the local area. Cheers to Ravens fans in Florida!
  4. No matter the outcome of last weeks game in Jacksonville, the Florida Ravens fans showed up! There was a ton of us up in that stadium and it was great to see so much purple. I wish the final score and the overall game play would have been a little more in our favor but it is what it is. Either way I loved the showing by our so called 'small market' team last Monday, keep it up Ravens fans!
  5. Yea, I think it will be a purple party as well. I have been trying to get information on where the Ravens are staying. Not to be creepy but I think that would be cool to stay in the same place that they are but don't know much about it or if that is even a possibility. I will definitely see if there is any availability at the place you recommended. Thanks!
  6. Thanks! I have somebody actually getting the tickets for me today and once I get conformation I will be booking something ASAP. I can always fall back on staying with those guys but I would rather have my own spot to stay, so hopefully I find something. Either way thanks for the heads up. Hope to see you there..cheers!
  7. Getting my tickets today for the MNF game next Monday!!! I can't wait to see these boys play under the lights. Still looking for suggestions on where to stay, close to the stadium, so we can just walk back to the room. Anybody familiar with the Jacksonville area, particularly around the stadium please give me a shout and let me know what you suggest. Thanks!
  8. I am excited for the next few weeks hosting the Jets and the Texans, both being a tough game, but I really can't wait for this Jacksonville game! It will be the first time I will get to see the Ravens play, in person, since the second meeting with the Bengals back in 07'. That was my first game at the "Bank" and it was amazing! I'm sure being in another teams stadium while the home team is getting kicked around won't be as intense as the home game I have been too but I'm sure it will be just as fun. Hoping to see and partake in a few pregame drinks with some of you guys who are going to this game as well. GO RAVENS!!!!!!
  9. Thanks! I will check it out.
  10. Can any Tampa locals hook me up with some of the better sports bars to catch a game? I live in South Tampa and me and a buddy who is a Chiefs fan would rather go out and watch the first game rather than flipping back and forth on the Sunday Ticket at the house because the games are on at the same time. Any help with choosing a good spot would help.
  11. Sweet! Thanks, and I will do the same if I get any new information.
  12. I got tickets recently for the Monday Night game in Jacksonville October 24th and was curious if anyone is familiar with the Jags stadium and is there are decent places to stay with-in walking distance or any other helpful information. I will be traveling up from Tampa so it's not but like a 4 and a half hour drive but not planning on making the trip back the same night. Any information will help. Thanks!
  13. Looking at the schedule for next year I thought us Ravens fans in Tampa were going to get a local game to watch until I realized it's a home game in Bmore. I forgot the last time we played Tampa was here in Tampa when we smoked them 26-0 or something like that. I will never forget that hit Ray put on Pittman on the goalline..best hit ever! Oh well maybe I will get a chance to get up to MD and catch a game. Let's hope for an impact WR and DE in the draft..GO RAVENS!!
  14. Ravens all day every day!

  15. So glad to see this topic still moving. It seems to be the biggest thread in this Folder. It seems most of us are scattered around Florida which is awesome but it would pretty cool to start up a few roosts. For me, particularly in or near Tampa so if your close or in the area get back to me and maybe we can gather enough fans to seriously start one. I am in no way very knowledgable in how to start one or anything but if we get enough people interested I would have no problem researching it and making it happen. Keep bleeding Purple & Black!!
  16. Hell yea!! Keep us posted on that. I am still at my wife about making this happen so please keep us posted.
  17. Sweet..you know I will hit you up when the time is right. I appreciate that.
  18. How do you guys over in the UK and Germany watch and keep up with Ravens football? I lived in Italy for 4 and a half years and loved every bit of it except that I couldn't watch my boys every Sunday. We are thinking about going back to Europe in a few years but I won't unless I can find a way to watch the Ravens on Sundays. I think I already posted where I was from but if I haven't yet, I am from the Eastern Shore of MD in a small town called Cambridge. If you have ever been to Ocean City then you have passed through my city. I currently reside in Tampa and you will see me at the Bowl this year, so hopefully ours boys run the table the rest of the season and I will get the pleasure of watching them in February.
  19. How many Ravens fans were actually at the game? I heard a huge number of people screaming HEAP!! while watching at home. I was so hype and wished I could have been there with the rest of you Ravens crazy people. Hopefully the next time we play down here in the FL I will get a chance to attend. GO RAVENS!!!
  20. I would love to be there with you guys but with a newborn and a 2 and a half yr old just doesn't permit me to go. I have already let my wife know that I will be at the Super Bowl regardless of cost and who is represented. I can just hope that Bmore gets it together and runs away in the second half to participate because that would be amazing to watch the Ravens in the bowl. Anyways, wish I could go to Miami to support our boys but just can't manage that right now.
  21. Originally from Cambridge, MD but currently live in Tampa, FL and representing the B-more Ravens to the fullest!
  22. Thank you! As a matter of fact my wife is a huge Todd Heap fan and we are considering naming him Todd, but after Sunday's game we may reconsider.(J/K, he will come around against the Texans).
  23. I won't be making it out anywhere this Sunday to watch the game due to my wife being unbelievably pregnant. She could go at anytime so I will be glued to my 50" Flat-Screen watching the purple and black kick some Bengal butts! Thank God for the Sunday Ticket..no more suffering from DFS(displaced fan syndrome) as Directtv calls it. Once we have the little one we may venture out with some of you Raven fans to see our boys take this season on. Talk to you guys soon..until then GO RAVENS!!!
  24. WOW!!! I started this thread over 2 months ago and didn't think it was going to get this much attention. This is great and I am very happy to see so many B-more fans in the state of Florida. I look forward to watching some Ravens football this season or maybe even going to the Miami game with some you guys. Keep in touch and let us know if, when and where you guys would like to meet up.
