  1. Elite vs Clutch I'd prefer elite, especially if it leads to 6 SB appearances vs just one.
  2. It's not Cap-sensible to release him this year, but being on the PUP doesn't count against the 53.
  3. Great to have all the guys at the castle having fun. Stay injury free.
  4. ... and for the entire season. 2016 will be Dennis' year.
  5. This from Bleacher Report today...."Manziel makes no progress against McCown." "The surprise here is not that Manziel is behind, the surprise is that he's behind to Josh McCown. The Browns practically custom-made Manziel the lowest bar possible, selecting one of the worst quarterbacks to get extensive playing time in modern NFL history." "If the bar to entry is only "being better than Josh McCown," and Manziel can't pass that test, it's a damning indictment of where he is as a quarterback prospect a year into his career." I'm not a Browns fan by any stretch of the imagination, but Cleveland's epically futile search for even an average QB has been a disaster that one just can't help but laugh at and mock. Better luck next year.
  6. The way this site is run this thread will still be active in 9 years.
  7. A concussion prone Welker shoring up an injury prone Camp? R U kidding me? I can see Welker as a camp body for 3 months but not making the team. DeAndre Carter would be a far better Camp backup and bring more to the table.
  8. Such a good group of receivers on the roster, somehow the Ravens need to keep triple S' replacement around for when he retires next season. Next year: Aiken, Brown, Butler, Camp, Carter, Perriman & Waller. Hmmm, maybe we keep 7 wrs this year.
  9. If Urban and KLM can contribute as much as this year to the team as Jernigan did last year, the front line will be in great shape.
  10. And don't forget the multitude of times we were 1st and goal and settled for a FG. That, to me, was the most frustrating.
  11. If Will Hill and Matt Elam are in tight competition at safety we are in trouble at safety.
  12. You are right chuchu, Ravens are really tearing it up this spring; in OTAs we're undefeated and I fully expect that to continue. Like your enthusiasm; pour yourself another glass of Kool-Aid.
  13. Kinda like a telephone landline...hardly exist in homes anymore.
  14. That was Arrington getting burned. Good news for Perriman; Bad news for Arrington.
  15. I have zero expectations of Pitta seeing the field this season. He doesn't even enter into my "what ifs."
  16. You bring up an interesting point...what exactly is Juice's role in this offense? Don't really need him to block, we got Crockett. Don't need him as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, we got Allen. He's the smallest of our TEs. He is good on STs but Juice needs a niche to fill.
  17. The wishful thinking thread......GREAT! Okay then,,,,,,,, 19-0 I agree with all the previous posters....Ravens are kicking butt in the off-season. Let's not jinx this team with talk of dynasty and the like.
  18. Before the coaching staff gets their hands on a player, I've always thought the Ravens excelled at scouting and evaluating players to fill the Ravens' needs. Kudos go to Eric DeCosta, assistant GM; Vincent Newsome, Dir of Pro Personnel; & Joe Hortiz, Dir of College Scouting. Those are the guys that take Ozzie's taskings to find the specific kind of player that improves the LB corps, the O-line, or the DBs. The coaches may be rounding a player out but they were already presented with a round player to fill a round hole.
  19. This subject, "Are we a top tier team" got me researching team and division wins for the past 5 years. This is NOT a perfect analysis of this situation but the results are telling. There are only 7 teams that accumulated 50 or more wins the past 5 seasons, and they are (with wins): New England (63) Green Bay (58) Baltimore (53) Pittsburgh (52) New Orleans (52) Denver (50) Seattle (50) The 'Payton Manning effect' is profound. The Colts missed the cut because of their Manning-less 2-14 season but Luck-ed out in the end and will likely join the 50 club next season. Conversely, a Payton-lead Denver has posted 38 wins the past 3-yrs. Also, Seattle was a ho-hum team until DangeRuss' arrival. The winningest divisions the past 5-years are NFCN (173), AFCN (172), AFCE (167), and A/NFC West both with 158 wins. For those who can't get enough QB discussion....look at the QBs that guide these top 7 teams, they are all the cream of the crop. Far off the 50-win mark are the likes of Matty Ice, Cutler, Cam, & Eli. I'll leave it to the reader to decide if the Ravens are worthy of top tier acclaim. Of course we homeboys think they always have been. Again, not perfect analysis but I hope you all enjoy it.
  20. Raven offense is going to rock this year. I don't expect Manning-esque numbers, that's not the Raven way, but we'll definitely be on par with last year's team stats. Can hardly wait to see them in action.
  21. Spelling looked good.
  22. When was the last time someone was reported to be behind schedule when rehabbing an injury? RG3 was ahead of schedule when rehabbing his ACL; how'd that work out for him? Sure hope Jimmy comes back strong though.
  23. Last 2 years, the Ravens have scoured the DB market but they keep coming up with UdFAs/journeymen. I'm hoping our draft pick provides the stability we need. Show your stuff and do your thing Tray.
  24. Information gathered from other sources are contained within quotation marks and sourced. Those not in quotes and/or sourced are the author's words I believe. Just sayin.
  25. The writers on this site kill me. "If Trestman can work wonders with Jay Cutler, then it stands to reason that he can do a whole lot more with Flacco." First, Trestman was fired because Cutler was terrible last year and he (Cuter) basically gave up on the team. Trestman didn't work any wonders there. Second, even if (and that's a HUGE if) he worked wonders, what "whole lot more" does he have to do with Flacco? Work miracles? I think not. Writers here need to read what they write; that sentence made NO sence at all. Sorry for my rant. lol
