  1. I and all Raven fans are proud of the 6 of the last 7 talk, but I like to say we stood on top of the football world in 2012 and since then (now) we're building on a 1-season playoff streak. PIT fans love to talk about 6 rings but they live in the past, that's all ancient history and means nothing about today's team. Regarding your other point, we do seem to be the 5th team mentioned in the AFC and often tied with the bungles. Now that's sad, but equally sad is the fact they have beaten us 3 str8. If our offense produces 30 pts/gm as I hope and gets us a lead early so Sizzle and Doom can hunt, then I agree with Peter King's ranking.
  2. Joe makes Forsette bring the doughnuts. lol
  3. Yes, thanks. Tells me his dad tried to coach him up but he was a teenager and shrugged it off. lol Good find.
  4. All these little things that coach Engram is having to correct surprise me b/c Breshad's father, Brett, was a WR in the NFL for 10yrs. Were they estranged?
  5. It's laughable to say "it's a given". Is it "a given" that a 1st ballot HOFer will win multiple super bowls? Peyton Manning wishes it was. How about Aaron Rodgers & Big Ben, arguably 2 players that will make the HOF, is it "a given" that they will win more SBs? We HOPE it is Joe instead of them but it could easily be Andrew Luck or Russell Wilson or any number of other QBs. Second, by Joe NOT making the HOF he becomes "the future most underrated QB of all time." The words exaggeration, overstatement, embellishment, rhetoric and overkill come to mind which let me to one silly post full of wishful thinking and hyperbole. That's how so.
  6. I find it hard to understand why the players allow the league to fine them for most of these in-game infractions. Does the NBA fine players for goal-tending or charging or pushing off? NO! They get fined for egregious infractions, generally a technical foul. Face mask, late hit, low block, so many others are just unavoidable. The PA needs to re-visit this issue.
  7. I look at that list of 20 players and say the Ravens have a very solid team that's going to do good things this year. Stay Healthy
  8. Sorry bud but this is one silly post. So full of wishful thinking, & dreaming. smh
  9. Got a little wiggle in that line.
  10. Amazes me how quickly some of you are willing to cut Ozzie's prized draft picks. He works really hard to accumulate them and you have them gone is 6 weeks. It does happen but more often than not it's after 2 TCs.
  11. Big Ben wants his offense to put up 30 pts/gm. That's an achievable goal and one Marc/Joe and the rest of the Ravens offense needs to strive for and accomplish also.
  12. Delete the "PS" line (you need to read up on eligibility) and I'll give you 2 thumbs up. Other than that....I think most of us see the roster shaping up pretty much as you do. Good Job.
  13. Our divisional opponents play us tough no matter what. Splitting with the Bengals and Steelers is not good enough to win the division, and that's always our goal in the AFCN.
  14. Not sure if Rashaan is "the guy" but he has what I think Ozzie/Harbs are looking for in DBs these days and that is length. Todays WR/TEs are mostly in the 6'0" to 6'6" range and are chewing up the little DBs. Melvin, Smith, Waller, Trawick, Hill are the over 6', new age DBs. Many, maybe most, of this years draft DBs were 6' and over. So I think that's the trend in the NFL to counter the taller, bigger receivers.
  15. Excellent analysis and presentation; your thinking 95% mirrors mine. The 8 players you identified for O-line offer plenty of flexibility to not have to keep 9 players and gives us a chance to develop SSS replacement when he goes next year. Two thoughts for your consideration on D. Ravens cut Chris Canty once; I think he falls into the same category as Jah Reid giving KLM a shot/spot. Second, both Oz & Harbs have praised Steve Means; he may get McClellan's spot but you're already on that. Finally, Terry Brooks. Very seldom (almost never I'd say) can a DB comeback in less than a year and be productive. I think he should start the season on the PUP, as you stated, and he & Pitta get moved to IR and don't participate this season. Again, rmw10, excellent post.
  16. As Hanna would say, direct from the horses mouth.
  17. Hard to believe back in '05 we drafted Mark Clayton 2 picks b4 GB selected Rodgers. No wonder Ozzie has been so gun shy about WRs.
  18. Players waiting in the wings are: Aiken, Brown, Butler, Camp. Perriman is a bonus baby.
  19. Your avatar must be from the ugly side of the family.
  20. Good discussion on slot receiver position; thanks for the info.
  21. If he starts the season on PUP, Brooks may be this years Will Hill and come on strong in the 2nd half of the season. Like the rest of ya, I have high hopes for Terry.
  22. I think his shoulder injuries ended the safety option.
  23. I questioned one of his tweets and he blocked me; so no loss to me. waving bye bye.
  24. Is it required that slot receivers be diminutive? Why not a Jeremy Butler or a Darren Waller in the slot? Any way that mismatches favor our offense is a positive.
  25. Camp seems to have the bravado, speed, hands to be a gem of a 7th round pick. We all know he's a local boy and want to see him do well. I think hanging Welker's phenomenal success around his neck is not a wise idea. Let him do his thing and build his own legacy. Welker's 40 time is listed as 4.65 vs Camp's 4.45. In fact, I'm cheering for all our WRs; would dearly love to see 2 or 3 of them really step-up.
