It's cute that you think that it would have played out any different. Moving up that far for a player whose role was being reduced and who will be gone next year is a huge bonus to the Ravens. I agree. Get it now or lose. Theres no way we was getting a 4th round pick in 2019 for him. We already lost when we gave Williams all of that money. We have to deal good talent so big muscle man can hoard money. No.... if I had to pick between keeping Timmy or BW.... I would take BW every day of the week -no issues there but I just don't like the fact that we let TJ go for a 3rd round pick.... We would have gotten a comp pick for him next year (possibly a 3rd or 4th rounder) so we lost Timmy and two 3rd rounders' for a higher 3rd rounder???? If we would have even got a 3rd and a 5th... or a 2nd and a 5th.... I would have said... man it is worth it. Heck.... if we would have ended up swapping our 4th for their 3rd... (and ended up with 3 third round picks) I would have said... great move... but as is?????????????????????????????

WELL ... Barnett has just become more of a real consideration bc we just traded Timmy Jernigan plus our # 99 overall pick for their # 74 overall pick. IDK... I don't like it. I know that we were going to lose Timmy but If we would have moved up 25 spots and got an extra 5th rounder from them.. I would have felt good about it... but Even we just let him play his contract out and lost him... we would have gotten a 4th round pick for him. So basically we traded a starter at 3rd round pick and a 4th round to move up 25 spots this year in the 3rd round?

I am with you.... I do not think that Dalton is elite.... without AJ Green he looked avg at best.... Carr and Luck do seem to be a step above and they can win games Ben has elite ability but also has and elite ego and his ego has lost Pittsburgh more big games then he has won them over the past 5 years. Ryan is not Joe... Julio makes any QB look elite... and MattyIce has always had great WRs (and TE) Joe has proven that if you give him time and half way decent weapons... that he can win the whole thing for us. We need to re-build that OL and add in a play making WR and Joe will have weapons. (Perriman and Wallace can take the top off of any defense. WE have great TEs and a lot of them. We have woodhead who will chew up yardage and if we can add a JuJu or a DeDe Westbrook, Corey Davis, Mike Williams type of WR in the draft.... Joe will have weapons) the addition of some sure handed WR like Boldin who can roam behind the LBs could be a very large asset... but Joe will have some weapons by the time season starts. (look at the super bowl year- Boldin, Torrey, Pitta, Rice... those were the weapons... we can put that and more on the field this year). the key is keeping him protected- Joe has to have time and have a clean pocket. Stanley, Alex Lewis and Yanda are a good chunk of that starting 5 but we really do probably need 2 more OLmen.

Levy, CJ, Suggs and Judon would make a nice starting unit. Melauga is intriguing. He shows signs of being a super star but has been inconsistent and injury prone but if he could be healthy... I like the energy and attitude that he brings.... I would have really like to see us bring Zach Brown in to play beside CJ!

Thanks, i feel better LOL.... I hear you though... I do get nervous about the holes that we have... I just don't remember ever having that many... but with that said... Mr. Biscotti and staff - usually does to a great job at addressing the teams needs. So while I believe that this will play out similar.... I am with you when I say that I get nervous about it also...

I think we are trying to wait until May 9th to sign either Mangold or Boldin bc then they will not count against the comp pick formula. I don't expect us to sign either. In terms of Boldin, I don't think he has any interest in signing with anybody until like June/July at the earliest. He didn't even sign with the Lions until late July last season. He has zero interest in going through an off-season program with a team. Mangold could easily be looking at the same type of thing, and there's nothing I've seen so far to indicate we are interested in him or that he's even good. I do think that we have expressed an interest in re-signing Boldin and it may not be until june or july- just not before May 9th. I think you are right on the Mangold thing... I think it is a match up that makes sense on paper but less in reality... at the same time we could use a veteran C and mangold fits that bill so- I can see why the media has linked him to BMORE... either way... we did let Zuttah go and I am not sure that Jensen is an upgrade over Zuttah? IDK - but if not... that means that we have to be looking to add someone the draft is thin at C and that leads me to think FA but money is tight. I think the Timmy J trade may actually come to fruition - if not we will have to free up cap space for sure.

BC we are light years ahead on defense.... BC Offensively we will have both Gilmore and Watson back healthy and we brought in Woodhead - who will generate a lot of YAC. and the 3 of them can really move the chains. BC Yanda will be healthy this year BC We will draft at least 1 WR (and possibly more) and probably bring another WR in (Boldin?) BC We will draft at least 1 OL (and possibly more) and may still bring another in after May 9th (Mangold?) BC Greg Roman will demonstrate that his history of success is not by accident. and Finally bc guys like Ronnie Stanley, Alex Lewis, BPerriman, and Kenneth Dixon will all have a season under their belt of NFL experience and will be able to contribute more as a result this season!

I believe Watson will have a big year. I think Pitta and Joe have that rapport so... we will continue to see a lot of that connection. I am not sure about Gimore... he shows flashes but has never demonstrated the consistency that can make him a real threat. I think Maxx needed to add some strength and has now had a couple of years to do so.... I am curious how improved he will or will not be? He certainly has the raw skills. I think Boyle has shown flashes of being a baby Gronk and Boyle at HBack is intriguing. But with his infractions... hard to trust him. I think Waller will slide back to WR and while I love his potential... I really don't seem him playing TE...he seems to have more of a WR mindset@

I expect Perriman to take the next step. If you call last year his rookie campaign (which it really was) and compare him to all of the other rookie WRs across the NFL (and there were some very good ones last year). Perriman was about middle of the pack in production. Now with Steve Smith Sr retired... I do expect more. In fact.... if Kamar Aiken had nearly a 1000 yards rec. when we were forced to throw to him... then I really believe that Perriman could also.... He is immensely more talented then Kamar and with Mike Wallace opposite him and Joe Flacco healthy... I like Perrimans chances!

This is Wallers third year in the league however and if we have been developing him like we should.... he should understanding his route tree and running cleaner routes by now. His concentration issues are correctable... but switching from WR to TE probably has slowed the learning curve instead of accelerating it. I think Waller is looking slimmed down again and I believe we will see a move back to WR for him. He has the size and speed to be successful in this league. He tracks the ball well and is smooth in his ability to go up and make a play on the ball. I expect Waller to be a contributor this year... possibly at TE but I really do anticipate his moving back to WR (with the depth we have at TE and the need that we have at WR) this just seems logical

If Timmy wants more playing time... the way to get it is not by producing less! He needs to just continue to improve and demonstrate some consistency and he will be a star in this league.

BC it has more to do with how you retain that talent and develop the lower end of the draft. Teams with worst records should have the best drafts bc they are picking earlier... that is true but if you cannot manage the salary cap and return your picks or worse... you cannot develop your 2nd tier players to maximize their production - it will not mean much over the course of 4-5 years. But if you can land two or three good draft classes in a row. Retain you previous guys and develop you second tier players into contributors or even starters... Then you can be a successful franchise.

AsianRice.... I feel like he has already lost some of that power.... and his leash is shortening. I really believe that if we don't make the playoffs this year... Harbs may be gone. He stuck by Marty and Pees and that may be his downfall. If those two (or even one of those two) really fail and harbs don't cut them loose early enough to make the playoffs.... harbs may follow them out at the end of season. I think John is a great coach but in my opinion... his biggest downfall is his loyalty to his assistant coaches. That is a great quality when the assistants are holding up their end but not such a great quality when they are failing. His loyalty has to be to the team and organization first and if his friends are failing... he owes it to the team to make the necessary changes... 1st in the freedom they have 2nd in their ability to stay with the organization. If Harbs gets run out of BMORE it will be bc of his loyalty to his assistant coaches and inability to manage that stuff... not bc of his x's and o's

ravens4life86- I love you round 1 picks and I have been calling for Tak for some time I would love any of those round 2 picks and prefer Tredavious White out of the bunch... I just don't see us going back to back defense in rounds 1 and 2 after making a big investment on that side of the ball in FA... one of the first two picks will go to the offense Round 3. I love Westbrook..... he is a steal in round 3. I love Pocic in round 3 also but believe that he will be gone in the 2nd. I like Siraguasa in round 4. I think Boulware is too slow in our Defense but the kid is a play maker... If we took him in the 6th I wouldn't be mad I think Banner is a good pick on round 5. He is versatile enough to play G or T and he is enormous. I think he is an upgrade over James Hurst and with ALewis playing T- Banner could move beside Stanley at G opposite Yanda.... and that would be a big nasty OL. I love the Dalvin Cook idea in round 1 - I just cannot see us doing that. But I would love it if we did. He is a home run threat that we haven't had since Ray Rice.

Not bad at all. Overall though, it is solid, but McKinley is way too raw to take at 16 imo. High ceiling, moderately low floor. He has athleticism, the frame and motor to be good, but he has literally no arsenal of pass rushing moves. I'd much rather take Williams, Watt or Harris. Cam could slide into the 20's but that is about it. Outside of Ramcyzk and Lamp, Cam is arguably the top OL prospect in a thin class. There are too many O line needy teams that will pick before our second such as Indy, Seattle, Denver, Carolina, Jax, etc. RavensDieHard21.... I think McKinley is a perfect fit for us at 16. He don't have to walk in and be the man. He can learn under Suggs. We have Judon and ZSmith to help - Plus.... McKinley has very good pass rushing skills.... very smooth swim and rip.... very deep bends that make it difficult for OT to mirror- very long arms not allowing OL and TE's to engage. He needs work on his bull rush / club and power moves (but that is what they said about TSizzle coming out of college). TK is about 20 plus pounds bigger then Hasson Reddick and Cunningham and - His biggest down fall right now is that he needs to add strength... (typical for most kids coming out of college)....t he needs to work to to add strength to ensure that he can play in the physical AFC North and not just rely on athleticism. Right now he would be a situational pass rusher and not an edge setting OLB- but that is what we want...we had Upshaw who could set an edge but we needed someone who can get after QBs and harass them. I think TK would be a steal at # 16 I was saying Cam at # 2 and I agree with you that he will probably be gone by then. Different draft experts have him as late as late second round and as early as top 15 overall. But with any of these projections- I am suggesting players like Cam or TK etc. If Cam is not there in round 2. Roderick Johnson- T- FSU should be ( and TBH he may have a greater upside long term) or Taylor Morton -T out of WMich (who is climbing up the boards)... I really like Will Holden out of Vandy (and he may be available in round 3) allowing us to jump at one of the FLA CBs or TreDavious White - CB -LSU in round 2. If Westbrook is gone... Stacey Coley-WR - Miami (albeit we can probably land him in the 4th) or Ju Ju Smith Schuster (in 3rd) I really hope that nobody jumps at Noah Brown but watching him play... he can be a problem for defenses. He is simply very raw but such a freakish athlete that he can be a mid round steal that everyone is talking about years from now. I would love to see us step up and snag either Sid Jones- CB- Wash or Fabian Moreau with our 3rd pick. (since we have two in the 3rd round). I know that Sid will not play until next year but he is worth waiting on. I also do not think that Fabian will drop to the 3rd but some draft experts are now saying mid 3rd to mid 4th is realistic- bc he just had surgery and this will set him back. With Carr and Tavon we don't need him to start right away and will have the luxury of allowing him to come along at his own pace! . I doubt that we could get that lucky but if he is there (either one)... man we better grab them. This is a very deep draft and we have some holes to fill. I would love to see it play out similar to how I projected but If not there are a ton of directions we can go - In my best Bart Scott voice... "CANT WAIT"!

Round 1. Takkarist McKinley-OLB- UCLA.... super freaky type athlete with a very high ceiling. A twitchy athlete with a great motor- TK will make our pass rush better immediately. (which is what Mr. Biscotti has been asking for) ! Round 2. Cam Robinson- T- Bamma Robinson will make great bookends with Stanley for years to come. Allowing us to move ALewis to G and when we bring in Mangold( after May 9th)...that gives us a really talented and really nasty OL for new coach Greg Roman to work with. Round 3. Jalen Myrick- CB-Minn Myrick is fast.... 4.28 in the combine and has good size... reminiscent of Jimmy Smith... he is a fast, physical CB who can contribute right now. (Unless Fabian Moreau-CB-UCLA is still on the board) Myrick can be a steal in round 3 and even more important- a great fit for our defense! Round 3. De De Westbrook - WR- OKLA. Westbrook is a playmaker and maybe the most under rated WR in this draft. He has single handedly made Baker Mayfield look great and he has the DIVA attitude and competitive edge that we are losing with SSS. Forget the combine numbers... this kid can play and will be a very good NFL WR! Round 4. Noah Brown- WR- Ohio State. Browns physical skills may be as good as any WR coming into the NFL this year... and that is saying a lot bc there are some excellent WRs in this years draft. Brown is giant for a WR and has great speed and acceleration. He tracks the ball well but he is inexperienced and needs route development and needs to improve his consistency. Brown could be a steal in the 4th round and would add depth and playmaking ability to our offense. if we can develop him a little. (at minimum... he will make a great ST contributor) Round 5. Ejuan Price-OLB- PItt Price is an explosive athlete who has great hands (for shedding blocks) and can get after a QB. He would easily be a second round or higher if he were a couple of inches taller. The only real knock on price is that he is too short and sometimes allows OL into his body as a result. (this could make him more of a situational pass rusher then an every down OLB but who cares - you never have enough pass rushers and we have LBs who can set the edge! This is the same reason that Dumervill was not an early draft pick. In fact Prices skillset, motor and style of play is very reminiscent of Doom.... not just his stature. Round 6. Kareem Are-OT /G-FSU. Are has a massive frame and great lower body strength. He is probably better suited inside in the NFL then outside bc he is inconsistent with his first step (especially late in games). Conditioning has been an issue and there is some concern over his weight... But he has a big enough frame that he could handle it better then others. He has a nasty streak and is a Greg Roman type of OL. He could provide depth at both G and T and help to add the type of attitude to the OL that Roman is looking for... (if he can get in shape and add some upper body strength he could turn into a starter in this league).

I'm very curious about this, too. I've seen no clarification on exactly what this is about. This basically is changing the "10 second run-off" when the offense commits a foul (illegal sub, false start, etc). This foul could only be called when under 1 minute of play. Now it changes to under 2 minutes of play. Nothing changes except for when the officials can enforce the penalty. Where did you hear that? Typical NFL... everything they do seems to make the game more ambiguous and confusing and then they wonder why they are losing viewership. They change the OT rules to shorten overtime bc (in their justification the games are too long) so you shorten OT? That probably effects less then 10% of all NFL games... which will probably result in more ties (which nobody likes) and more confusion. They shorten the game by making the 10 second run off applicable for the final two minutes instead of the final 1 minute. So we shorten 1 more minute of a 60 minute game (and only in specific situations) and at what cost? The benefit is not worth the risk of how this impacts that game! SMH Then the player celebrations are now at the referees discretion? The players (and refs) were not clear on the rules before- this just muddies the water even more! Finally the ejections for targeting has been added. It is already hard enough to play defense now players (teams) have to worry about losing players based off of a judgment call. Yea that will not have an impact on the integrity of the game???? Somebody who has actually played this game needs to sit in these owners meetings and somebody who has actually played this game needs to have more of a voice with Roger Goddell before this turns into flag football with very unclear and uncertain rules. They think viewership is dropping now. Lets confuse the players, refs and fans more. Lets toss their favorite players out of games for making plays and see teams lose bc they had key players DQd on a judgment call. Lets move some more teams from their original fan bases and create more of a sense of uncertainty in the small markets. Lets hold cities hostage with the threat of moves and expect everyone to be okay with this. Lets chase the big money now - without regard to how it impacts the NFL 5 or 10 years from now. Lets have games in London, Mexico and anywhere else that will increase temporary sales and in the process water down the game more... Time for Goddell to go!

That's what I would think. As I remember, what Harbaugh said sounded to mean "it's only one receiver we really need from the veteran market". Yep, all we need is Q and we should be set. He won a SB with us so once he walks back in the locker room, players will follow his leadership. We need to let our youngins develop. Darren Waller is a beast! We just don't know what to do with him. Boyle and Maxx got a lot of talent, but just like Waller, our offensive coaches are clueless as to how to use them. Breshard is on the right track barring injuries Wallace will only get more comfortable here in his 2nd season. Moore has talent and speed and should be fine in his second year too. Dixon and West are just fine as well. We just need one vet WR. If we add Q- That gives us Mike Wallace, Boldin, Perriman, Moore and Campanaro We draft say a De De Westbrook or a Ju Ju Smtih Schuster in the 3rd round and then maybe a KD Cannon or a Speedy Knoll in the 5th or 6th round and all of a sudden we really do have a diverse mix of speed and possession WRs with veritable skillsets allowing Marty to create mismatches all over the field. Plus the mix of youth and experience would be ideal for now and in the future. We really may only need one veteran WR... (if we pick up another one or 2 legit WRs in the draft)
