  1. For the sqeelers.... it sounds like more sour grapes. They always have an excuse! When in reality.... they cannot stop Brady. He is 8-2 vs the sqeelers and has a ridiculous TD to INT ratio vs them. He has to wish he could play Pittburgh every week. Secondly they had no answer for Gronk. (most of the league don't) but how to they leave Him of all people uncovered in the REDZONE????? How do they play a cover two and let the best TE in the game split you seam for 50 yards. Head set issues are not the teams doing it is the leagues and regardless of how they were communicating or not... they looked clueless when it came to both BRADY /GRONK and I don't think any headset or anything else would have mattered. TBH... I think on 3 of Gronks 3 TD's the Pats could have told them the play and the sqeelers still couldn't have stopped it. More sour grapes for Tomlin and his tin men!
  2. This is exactly why you cannot take most of these reporters serious. Out of one side of their mouth they say that Baltimore is the favorite to win the superbowl and then out of the other side of their mouth they never believe that we can beat the good teams? How are we supposed to win a super bowl if we are not good enough to beat the good teams. DO they think we are going to face the NFLs worst team in the super bowl. Shows a great deal about their credibility. Often their picks and comments are more to generate hype then it is reporting truth. Don't listen to these media clowns...most of them will say whatever it takes to generate attention (and negative attention is still attention).
  3. Wellll.... IDK what this says about the NYGIANTS or about ASA... the Giants are badly in need for DB's and hence why they picked up Asa... but he couldn't / didn't last a week with them? didn't even practice? A team who badly needs DB's and sees that as one of their biggest weaknesses thinks that he is not good enough to even give a chance to... I think it becomes more clear why we cut ASA
  4. Hmmmmmm..... well I get it.... still would have like to have kept Daniel Brown...maybe that means that Perriman is more healthy then the public is aware?
  5. Ravenevermore.... I agree with what you wrote and I will add to it. CONS: 1. The schedule is tough. 2. There are some key players with durability question marks (Jimmy Smith, L Webb, Timmy Jernigan, BPerriman) 3. Our DC has not yet made the most of the talent that he has. 4. Flaccos career has been marked with inconsistency. and 5. A ton of young players in key roles (all three TE's, Timmy, CJ, Perriman, Campanaro). PROS: 1. It don't matter how tough the schedule is... if we win the division. We are more talented then the Browns, More complete then the Sqeelers and have the leadership that the Bengals lack. (so regardless of how hard our schedule is... we are the best team in the division and simply need to win the division). 2. We do have some key players with Durability issues... but they also have a ton of talent and will contribute in a big way when they are healthy. when they are not we have added depth that leaves us more likely to overcome losing them for anytime (this season moreso then last and we went pretty far last year). (RMelvin and KArrington along with KLewis makes our DB more formidable- While CDavis, KLM and LGuy make our DL rotation and depth legitimate). 3. I don't think DPees has made the most of the talent that he has but we have still proven that we can win a super bowl with him). 4. Flacco has been inconsistent throughout but he has never had this many weapons and we will protect him this year. Joe has shown steady improvement over his entire career... I expect this year for him to take the big leap forward. and 5. We do have a lot of 1st and 2nd year players playing key roles but we have a ton of talent in those players and a ton of leadership to help bring them along. Yes we have Perriman but opposite him is a 37 year old HOF WR. Yes we have 3 young and raw TE's but we have a savy veteran in Pitta still around to help mentor them. We have a young DL with CDavis and TJernigan but veterans like Canty and BWilliams to mentor them. Suggs, Dumervil, Flacco, Forsett, Yanda, Will Hill - we have high character guys at every position to help maintain a winning culture and develop a winning expectation in all of these youngsters. We have a great mix and this year can be special.
  6. 2 things: 1. There really are no games in the NFL and given our history / I sometimes worry more about the Jags and teams like that...we seem to get up for the big games. 2. if we cannot beat good teams in the regular season... how are we going to do in the post season. That tough schedule leaves you battle hardened (if you stay healthy) and tested. A great way to prepare for the grind that is the NFL playoffs. We have the talent for success. We have the experience, the leadership and the coaching staff. Now we just have to execute. I believe that Harbs will have them ready like always. Last...I just hope that the rest of the league looks at us and says... ohhh no.. the Ravens are on the schedule!
  7. Boy the Texans have been quite the pipeline for the Ravens over the past several seasons. Keep them coming!
  8. His bags should have already been packed.
  9. IDK.... I think Authur Brown is a no brainer... he stays. I think the WR posisiton will be interesting and I think that the CB position will be interesting.. I really don't expect any other big surprises... maybe McClellan let go... I just don't see too much drama in the cuts this year. KLM will be interesting but nobody being cut or staying do I expect to see a major impact from either way! At least not this year. I would like to see us keep C Vaughn, D Waller, and KLM...I think that means some tough decisions on players like Butler, ASA and Bikuidi but I think the upside of the first three is much bigger then the potential of the 2nd 3. I also think that if there is a surprise keep this year it is Daniel Brown or Nick Perry! Those two could be the Cinderella story of camp 2015... with Daniel Brown in the lead!
  10. I like Cassius Vaughn over Asa... but I feel like we will keep ASA bc the CB advantage is slight for Vaughn while ASa can contribute more on ST and he was a draft pick (investment by the team) that the Ravens do not like to give up on! I will still keep Vaughn however!
  11. Good Luck Tyrod... Starting QB for the Bills!
  12. Places that Ozzie may be looking since we have reached the cuts: KR /PR, DL deth, Possible S depth, possible CB depth... Additional WR especially if they have Return skills!
  13. Some decent (good) players already let go around the league. RB- Fred Jackson????? LB- Kevin Riddick CB- Tim Jennings WR- LDamian Washington LB Khari Fortt WR DeVier Posey DT Kwame Geathers Plus some other notable ex-Ravens let go today WR- Tandon Doss CB- Sammy Seamster DL- Derrick Hopkins
  14. Love our TE Corps... I think GIlmore is improved... I like what Maxx brings and even more so -what he potentially brings.... I really like BOyle and think he may end up being a steal---- and if Pita can come back and add anything at all... that gives Joe a ton of weapons to defeat an opponent underneath and down the seams... I can see us finally using that two TE sets... that Harbs wanted a few years back!
  15. Okay.... Lets be honest... we should have some depth on Def at least... DL... Guy, CDavis, KLM, DTyson, LBs... Courtney, ABrown, McClellan, Orr and ZSmith... DB's DB's Klye Arrington, Cassius Vaughn, TBrooks, Tray Walker, ALevine, BTrawick and more.... we do have some talent behind the starters on defense and are still getting shredded! I think that the real problem is that we don't have a back up DCoordinator! No depth at the DC position leaves us vulnerable bc DPeas isn't getting the most out of his players... and hasn't since he has been here! We need more depth at DC! and we will be fine!
  16. Needed him as a returner and he struggled as a returner. That's that! Good luck DC!
  17. .Perriman will be fine... (like I said before) Odell Beckham missed all of camp last year and had a pretty good season. THe Panthers are relying on Devin Funchess to relapce Kelvin Benjamin (and they sound confident that he will) and he has missed both preseason games so far and nearly all of camp. Perriman has the raw skills to take the top off of a defense. (That is what we need him to do) and he will do that. As the season progresses he may grow in his ability to gain separation, shed defenders, utilize speed variation, hand fight and develop his routes... and he will produce more... but for what we need he is ready to do...use his speed to take the top off of a defense! Keeping those safties honest will open up our running game and underneath passing game. The biggest thing he needs for that is speed and a QB with a big arm (and an accurate long ball). Joe has done half of the work for him... Breshard I think can handle the other part of the equation (Speed)!
  18. I personally think that McClellan is let go this year. WHile Orr struggled at times so has McClellan and they both can positively impact ST play... but McClellan will come cheaper and with more potential upside. Both are versatile and both are cerebral in their approach to the game but I just feel like Orr is a step fast and with more developmental potential. I think we keep CJ, DSmith, A Brown and Orr.... on the outside We have Suggs, Doom, Upshaw and ZZmith.... that is 8 LBS (I feel like McClellan is the odd man out this year)!
  19. Brown makes the team... this is a bunch of negative hype. If anyone watched the game vs the eagles... the kid can play... his biggest issue is his physicality at the point of attack and sometimes he doesn't want to take a direct route to the play.... he tries to rely on his speed and backdoor plays too much. He needs more experience to be quicker on finding his run-throughs and to continue to pack on a little more muscle. He is a ball player and just needs some developmental things. Fortunately we have DSMith and CJ in front of him giving him time do develop in this capacity. THis isn't abnormal for MLBs coming into the league. Look at the Bears with Alec Ogletree and JBostic.... both very high draft picks who struggled early on with the same problems. Look at the Bengals Rey Melauga same issues... look at the sqeelers Ryan Shazier... this is not uncommon in this league and it typically takes a MLB 3-4 years to grow into that physical type of body (heck it took our own DSmith how long to reach his potential)>? We are a little spoiled in BMORE bc we had RLewis come in and do it from day 1... CJ looks to be from a similar mold (yet different style). ABrown is a ball player and that is obvious-just needs to grow more physical and he is doing that but that also takes time. I do not believe that he is going anywhere. The Ravens know what they have in him and the luxury of not needing him right now... but they also know how quickly depth in a position can be depleted! Aurthur is not on any bubble... he makes the team and contributes significantly more this year!
  20. NICE! love the idea of WHIII growing into his RAVE ROLE! His ability is unquestionable... good to have him around long enough to mature and achieve up to his capabilities! Congrats Will!
  21. I would like to suggest 3 possible sleepers for this season: 1. Michael Campanaro... He is a mismatch problem... 2. Courtney Upshaw... He is low profile playing behind Suggs and Doom.. but is solid and in a contract year. Watch out for Courtney to have a giant season 3. Zdarius Smth... again will have limited opportunites with who is in front of him but he seems to be finding a comfort zone early! He could turn some heads BONUS- Buck ALlen... he will have his opportunities early... if he can make the most of them... we may see his role expand! He fits our system well and Trestman likes his ability to be an outlet out of the backfield!
  22. Pees is worried bout Webbs absence and I am worried about Pees presence!
  23. We have the talent to fix whatever is wrong but we need to have Harbs tighten the reigns on our DC.... or this could be a long season. We are as talented as any team in the league from top to bottom but we need to be willing to take the handcuffs off of the D... DPeas reminds me of Cam Cameron's offense a few years ago... He just never trusted them enough to open it up.
  24. Its not the loss as much as how they lost. I am not even worried about the offense being out of sinc... I get that... It was the way the defense got ripped and seemed to never be able to make adjustments to correct it. And even that wouldn't matter but this has been an issue since Peas took over and if there was not a pattern. IDK.... hoping HARBs gets a handle on this before Peas destroys our season! Never been a fan of DPeas
  25. I am not worried about Camps injury except that it leaves us void of knowing who our KR /PR man will be... I just assumed it would be his spot but now IDK>... I see Ozzie bringing someone else is at this point (after teams make cuts to get the roster down)
