Always felt that if Camp could stay healthy... that he could be good.... I am just not convinced that he can stay healthy. However... good signing.... little risk with possible high reward... Contracts like that can make a team!

Don't count out Carl Davis.... the kid looked great for the first half of his rookie year.... he hit a wall (like many rookies do) and then was injured last year. We know he has the talent and we know that he has a motor... He was lacking some strength and now this is going into his third year in the NFL... I am sure he has had plenty of opportunity to help prepare his body for the rigors of a 16 game NFL season. Watch for CD to have a very solid season!

We have a ton of talent - but we have the fewest draft picks in recent memory. Don't expect Ozzie to give up any of them in trades for players. Agreed.... in fact.... I really expect us to trade out of the number 16 spot... slide back and pick up an extra pick or two. There is enough talent and we have enough needs that it makes sense...

If we use a first round pick on one of those guys, I highly doubt we would be interested in signing Boldin afterwards. Doesn't make much sense. Yep..... I really don't see us going WR in round 1. I believe that we are looking OT or OLB.... Ramczyk , Cam Robinson, Hasson Reddick, Takkarist McKinley...etc. I would be shocked if we went WR or RB in round 1. Not unhappy just shocked. I say not unhappy bc if we do go WR / RB that means we have signed one of 5 players Mike WIlliams John Ross Corey Davis Leonard Fournette Dalvin Cook and all are very talented play makers who can come in and make an impact in this offense now! So I would be unhappy I would be surprised however- surprised bc of how it would force our hand in rounds 2-5 and move us away from our mantra of best available player. We would have to begin to approach those rounds differently in order to fill holes. With that being said... I see us going OT / OLB in round 1 (Unless Ozzie has something up his sleeve and I do believe that he is likely to trade back and acquire more picks in this stacked draft class!)

Love the Re-signing of Webb.... I think we needed to move forward with Jefferson as the starter but Webb has been great in the community and does provide quality depth at both S and CB... that is a big deal. Jimmy Smith TreDavious White (or another rookie CB) Brandon Carr Tavon Young M Cannaday Weddle Jefferson Webb Levine That is a pretty stacked Defensive backfield. Diverse and deep with a good mixture of youth and experience. My only wish to add onto this would be if we could somehow steal Sid Jones and stash him away for next year!

We won't draft Dede Westbrook anywhere in the draft, Stacy Conley is a reach as is levon Myers - I also don't personally like pocic that much - he just seems too tall to be an effective center in the NFL Westbrook is the most under rated WR in the draft this year and one of the most under rated players overall....Look at his production and his play making ability / not his 40 time and combine numbers. He could come here and start as our slot WR right now. TBH the thought of Westbrook working the slot with Perriman and Wallace taking the top off is a little exciting. Just curious why you are so sure that the Ravens will not draft him? (I personally think Westbrook reminds me a lot of SSS when he came out of Utah)! Pocic can play both C and G and most analysts have him rated as one of the top C in the draft and some even call him the top. Not sure they are thinking he is too tall . He seems to be exactly the type of guy that Greg Roman likes.... just curious why you don't like him? Coley can be a starting returner right now.... when you pick a WR in the 5th round of the draft... you are not expecting them to come in and start and he wouldn't (probably as a WR) but he has potential to develop into that. He is a very raw but explosive athlete and has good speed. He can be our starter in the return game now (something we have been missing for some time... so a dangerous starter in the return game with potential to become a productive slot WR in the NFL in the 5th round .... I wouldn't call that a reach but I am curious why you would. Myers is compared by CBS Sports to Rick Wagner and Kiper compared him to Villeneuva (sp) of the Steelers.... Both starters and Wagner just became one of the highest paid RT in the NFL. The knock on Myers is that he is slow. The Ravens would probably be looking at moving him inside and ALewis outside. Which would negate the biggest knock against him. He is described as a powerful grinder, who has a mean streak in the run game. Prisco, Kiper, CBS sports and more project him as a possible starter in the NFL... I wouldn't call that a reach in the 6th round? Just curious why you do? Remember that this is the 6th round... most 6th rounders don't even make the team. What is it about these guys that make them a reach that late in the draft?

I like McKinley....and really do not think that shoulder will be an issue, plus he will not need to come in and be the instant starter. We have Suggs and Judon and they can hold it down and we can work McKinley in at his pace. I also like Tim Williams -OLB -BAMMA who should be available to us in round # 2.

trading that pick or using it as leverage to trade up in another round... is an angle that I really just didn't consider and if that is the case..... they may be a big thing.

If we moved up 25 spots in the 7th round... not such a big deal.... that guy probably will still not make the team. If we move up 25 spots in the 1st round.... that is giant. (even the 2nd) but the further back you get the less it mean. with that said. We gave up a starter, a third round pick and a future third or fourth round pick to move up 25 spots in the middle of the draft. I feel like that was a lot for what we gained If we moved up 25 spots and got a 4th rounder to cover the future comp pick.... I get it. If we moved up 25 spots and even got a future 5th rounder now for a potential 3rd of 4th then...okay.. but to move up now... lose a player and a future player.... I don't feel like it was enough (and a 3rd or 4th rounder -should be a future player) We are losing a player at a position that we can replace. We have depth there and I don't know why everyone is thinking Jernigan was a superstar. He had his moments, but also completely disappeared from games and made boneheaded mistakes. Yeah we won't get a comp pick next year, that would range anywhere from the 3rd (doubtful) to the 4th or 5th, but we are moving up and gaining another pick inside the first 78 selections in a very talented draft class. 4 picks in the first 78? Yes please. We have guys that can replace Jernigan and we have needs at other places that can be filled by extremely talented rookies in this class. Could this backfire? Absolutely. But I like the chances of getting another quality player at a position that will be here for the next 4 or 5 years, instead of a player that will be here one more year and is replaceable. Moving up 25 spots in the 3rd round in this draft is a good move in my opinion. Especially since we have 2 picks within 4 selections of each other. I agree with everything you said but if we moved up 25 spots and got an additional 5th rounder .... I would have been all over this. Plus it was not that TJ was a superstar but I did feel that he had more value then what we got for him. You just said my exact feelings so well. I am in 100% complete agreement with you. I don't mind the trade, I just think we should have gotten a little bit more. I guess that if the Ravens were to land Elflein and Sidney Jones with those 74th and 78th picks (in any order), I will feel much differently. If we take Sid Jones with that number 3 pick..... then I will say we won. LOL

As much as I disagree with he move... it bothers me bc I feel like it hurt the team. I am not going to be so upset with the team being hurt the I hope they suck.... that is silly. This is an opinion board- it invites people to share their opinion - thats what makes this work... it doesn't mean they are less of a fan bc they have a different opinion then Ozzie. It just means that sometimes Ozzie is right and sometimes he is wrong (like all human beings) and opinion boards are the place to discuss if these decisions were the best for their team or not! My personal opinion is that we didn't get enough for Timmy... and that the Eagles got the better of this deal. It doesn't make me less of a fan because I wanted more for the Ravens.... but to just be okay with whatever happens and not want more ...may!

I agree.... I don't have a problem with the fact that we traded TJ A. We have a ton of young talent on the DL B. We would not sign him after this year C. He has been inconsistent D. We can get something for him. I do however also agree that we simply did not get enough! A. We could have received nearly the equivalent in a comp pick down the road B. We do lose his production for this season C. We traded a starter and a 3rd rounder (and a future 3rd or 4th round comp pick) for a higher 3rd round pick this year. That feels like an awful lot. D. Timmy was our most potent interior pass rusher and having already lost Doom and Guy.... I am a little surprised by this.... hope Kafusi can collapse the pocket. I get why we traded him and don't even have an issue with that.... I just don't feel like we got enough. If we would have traded Timmy and a 3rd rounder for a 3rd and a 5th... I would have been good. If we would have traded Timmy and a 4th for their 3rd and 5th.... cool. Even Timmy and our 3rd for their 2nd and 6th.... I am in... Just feel that we should have covered that comp pick and got more out of the deal. Does anyone know how much salary cap space this created? (I do wonder if this was a bigger factor then it seemed)????

We do have talent on the DL but we lost a starter and a comp pick for the following year..... in order to move up 25 spots in the 3rd round? IDK if we move up 25 spots in the 2nd round or the 1st round ...... maybe different but I don't think I like this one.
