  1. Good... he deserved it for sure... no go out and prove that you are the best Tuck!
  2. Here comes Arthur Brown!
  3. WOuld love to see Trestmen start to implement some 2 TE sets, especially in short yardage and goal line situations. We could create a great deal of mismatches and with some of those big bodies TEs run the ball when we need to! Play to our strength a little!
  4. I think we keep 6 CB's: 1. Jimmy Smith 2. Shareece Wright 3. Will Davis 4. Jerraud Powers 5. Tavon Young 6. Maurice Canaday To me Kyle Arrington is the biggest question mark. I really don't see either Young or Canaday hitting the PS which would leave Arrington out. If Canaday would go on PS (which I don't think will happen) then Arrington will be # 6. The only other way that Arrington makes it is an injury to any of the six mentioned above. I think Arrington is talented and can play in this league and I would hate to see him go. I would love to keep 7 but IDK if that is realistic. Finally I think it is still a possibility that we sign another outside CB (and maybe should) and if that's the case... it may mean that Canaday ends up on PS - but IDK... I think Canaday has a very high ceiling. It will be interesting but a good problem to have!
  5. THe playoff formula remains the same for us. 1. Win at home....( if we win at home that is 8 wins... and we only need 1-2 more to get into the playoffs. Even 6-2 at home would make our return to the playoffs fairly easy)... and 2. Win the divisional games. (Harbs seems to have solved the Pittsburgh riddle and has Tomlin figured out. The Browns are always changing so hard to predict what they will bring to the table but we should be more talented and then there is the thorn in our side in CIncy. We need to at least win the home game vs Cincy. If we win our home games and win our divisional games -our return to the playoffs is a lock!
  6. Tucker has been solid and consistent and we saw what it was like when we didn't have a solid and consistent kicker in this league. Sign the guy... and lets look to sure up some of the other FA's for next year.
  7. Perriman is a lock bc you don't just give up on a # 1 pick. They are # 1 picks bc the talent level is top notch. That does not always translate but typically when the talent level is that high -you don't just give up on them. Heck we are still giving Trent Richardson a chance bc the talent level is just that high. We gave Rolando McClain a chance bc the talent level is that high. We gave E Monroe a chance (albeit a very different situation) but when the talent level is that high you don't just give up on a prospect. Perriman has very rare size, and speed attributes... you don't just give up on the guy. Truth is... it is way easier to find guys with Camps skill set then it is to find a guy with Perriman's skill set (again why we got Perriman in round 1 and Camp in round 7). Perriman is a lock... (not saying that always works out- but I am saying that you have to give it enough of a chance to see if it will work out or not). In Monroe's case it did not. In McClain's case... it did not here (but he played great in Dallas). In Richardson's case... we have our fingers crossed (but if it don't we don't lose anything) and In Perriman 's case... it is simply way too early to give up an guy with that much talent and that high of a ceiling. Look at the chance that Jax took with Myles Jack (bc the talent level is that high) look at Dante Fowler in Jax... do they get rid of the guy bc he was hurt and missed his rookie year... or Kevin White in Chicago... or so many others... Perriman missed his rookie year (like Jalen Ramsey may end up doing) but there is no questioning the extremely high skill set that guys like these possess. You don't just give up on them! Yes Perriman is a lock bc he was a 1st rounder and should be!
  8. 1. Perriman 2. SSS 3. Kamar 4. CMoore 5. Wallace 6. Waller (in no real order). I would be surprised if Camp makes the team. Reynolds will probably head to PS giving him time to develop. If Camp makes it - I think it will be bc of ST in the return game. If Chris Moore shows that he is capable there or even Mike Wallace... I think that Camp is gone. Yes I listed Waller at WR but we realize that he will be trying to transition to TE. Still he can play both WR /TE and his biggest contribution will be on ST. The real issue is this... Camp could go to another team and while he could light it up... we are more worried about Waller going to another team and lighting it up then we are Campanaro. Unless we can stash Waller on IR... then Camp may have a chance to stick around. Remember that SSS is most likely gone after this year and we still don't know what we have in Perriman.... so I see us trying to hang on to Waller and Camp if we can... IR for Waller may be the most feasible way (or IR for one of our Many TEs) Outside of a move like that or a legit injury in the WR /TE area... I think it will be very difficult for Camp to make the roster.
  9. I find it curious that we could not shop Monroe around and find a suitable trade partner and then when he is released... he seems to have a single suitor (the NY Giants kinda). IDK it don't appear as if Eugene has too many people interested in the former # 8 overall pick? There has to be some teams that need a starting T (with the ability to possibly even play LT) and yet teams do not seem to excited to see him available. I am curious to see where he ends up and how he ends up there? Wonder if there is more to his injuries then we know (or his situation)?
  10. The only QB who consistently does it with little weapons is Brady (he has had Gronk, Welker, Moss, and Eldeman) but rarely multiple targets at once and rarely ever the type of weapons that Peyton (Dthomas, JThomas, Welker or Harrison, Wayne, DClark) or Rothlisberger or Matt Ryan or others have had. The only QB to win and win consistently with minimial weapons has been Joe and Brady and the one time that Joe has had multiple weapons (Boldin, Torrey, Pitta) we won a super bowl. This year Joe has weapons... I think it will be us and the Patriots facing off in the playoffs again and the winner of that - brining home another Lombardi trophy. If we can stay healthy and some of our players take that next step.... Joe will show that once again... when he has weapons... he can beat anyone!
  11. If Joe wins another super bowl this year (or in the near future) everyone else in America can call him over rated if they want.... in BMORE we will place a statue of him beside the Ray Lewis statue! End of debate~
  12. I think Orr played well in spots last year... but I also thought that ABROWN played well in spots... I think the position will go to ABrown.... I know that may surprise some but Arthur seems to be growing up some and growing into his role. He looks more the part and he has always had the athleticism that we covet. I believe that we will see Arthur and CJ starting in the middle like the Ravens intended a few years ago (just not the path they envisioned).
  13. I could see us keeping 5 TE's.... my first thought was that Waller was destined for the PS but he may never clear waivers and we don't want to lose him. I do think we will have a more clear picture on what Pitta is and what we can expect from him by camps end... so we may not need to keep 5 plus you never know how injuries play into this equation... a lot will happen between now and Sept. I really like what Waller can bring to the table however. And with Correa's versatility... will may be able to carry one less LB... and when you consider that Waller could play TE /WR / and ST that may mean that we are more apt to keep him around and more willing to release a bubble WR (or at least send one to the PS who is more likely to clear waivers). I think if Waller performs moderately well at TE ... he stays!
  14. I wouldn't bet against Dum.... people have been betting against that man his entire college and pro career and all he has ever done was prove them wrong!
  15. agreed.... we needed to do something to stop the bleeding... lets hope this pays off like we envisioned
  16. Agreed... the proof is in the performance. It remains to be seen. I like the additions... the ingredients are quality, now lets see if the baker (pees) knows what to do with these ingredients and can turn them into a finished product?
  17. Our improvement in the secondary last year was more to do with who we played then how we played. Our secondary just has not been good under pees. I hope that he is right and I am hopeful that the addition of Leslie frizzier will pay dividends and that the addition of weddle will be transforming. I really do like the picks of Tavon and Cannaday and I have high hopes there. I always that TBrooks showed a lot of potential and still holding out a slim hope for Elam... I like the additions from last season of Sharece and think Will Davis can shock all of us.... so I acknowledge all of the reasons for optimism. The one area of pessimism that I have remaining however is Dean Pees and his schematic issues. The bend but don't break mentality and the lack of short zone and bump and run defense. I am really hoping that all of the additions out weigh the original problem (PEES)
  18. Joe as all of the skills but the biggest problem that he has exhibited from day 1 is: 1. He don't manage the pocket well. and 2. He panics under pressure. Tom Brady has gotten much better after his knee surgery at sliding in the pocket and manipulating the pocket.... (there is a lot to be said for experience at that position). I am hoping that Joe learns to move a little better in the pocket and negate some of the pressure with savvy QB play and experience instead of panic and turnovers. Outside of the there is little that Joe cannot do!
  19. BWilliams and Tucker need signed... that should put us around 13 million in cap space... (maybe 14) and we have some contracts that we need to take care of... we also should still have some money to play with in FA if we need to add an ILB or another CB down the road!
  20. agreed...unless he is a cancer in the locker room. IDK it seems as if Monroe has not wanted to be here for a long time. Even when healthy he seemed to give far less then 100%. I am thinking that his presence was too much of a distraction and not worth holding onto. We clearly had reasons to hold on to him. (6.6million in dead money over the next two season, depth, Stanley is unproven at this level and while we expect him to be a great one... the learning curve may require some time, Wagner is in a contract year, he could have become quality trade bait) IDK we had many reasons to keep Monroe and still did not. I believe that actions speak louder then words and in spite of all the reasons to keep him... we acted rather swiftly... Had to be a good reason for that.... everyone else can fill in the blanks... (ohhh and the deal with the NYG fell through / why?).
  21. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Warren Sapp and Andre Johnson
  22. WOW.... great news and 2016 already is looking different then 2015 (where we never seemed to get any good news- just one bad news episode after another). I am excited to see him play and even more excited for him! Great news to start the year off right!
  23. I am thinking that we have cap space and I would be shocked if we didn't add another veteran WR. On paper we look fine right now. We have SSS (but he is in the twilight of his career and coming off a serious Achilles injury). We have Camp (but he has never been able to stay healthy) we have Mike Wallace (but he is / has not been putting up the Type of #s that we would want - Still a nice addition that fits Joes skillset - but we don't know that he can be dominant yet) We drafted CMoore ( and while we think he has a lot of potential there is still a lot of unknown). We have Kamar who we know can be adequate but not dynamic-in a passing league). We have- We have Keenan but we really are unsure of what he can do yet. The other 3-4 would be in the same boat. (ST are where he will make his mark early) The biggest wild card to be is Waller! He can be dynamic if he can take the next step. I wouldn't be shocked to see another veteran in camp. If SSS would go down with another injury (and assuming Perriman will be out) it will look a lot like last season (CMoore, Keenan, Camp, Waller and TE's can all assure that it is not as bad) but we would be moving forward with a lot of unknowns again. IDK... but I would be shocked if Ozzie doesn't bring someone else in. Colston would be ideal working with SSS and Mike Wallace. Very diverse skillsets, savvy WRs with a ton of experience and abilities. With a young crop of WRs developing behind them (CMoore, Keenan) with Kamar and Waller adding depth and balance. (assuming that Camp ends up cut). Colston would be huge and with our TE's to keep defenses honest - WOW.
  24. I love smiths potential and I am still rooting for him to be better then the Sqeelers 1st round pick out of Kentucky (Bud Dupree).... Z certainly has the size and speed...and showed signs of his potential last season.
  25. I think the biggest question mark for us this year is: 1. How healthy are (Joe, SSS, Suggs, Jimmy, Perriman and Wagner) 2. Who starts beside CJ 3. Will Stanley be as good as advertised 4. Can Leslie Frazer right the ship in our DBackfield 5. How will Webb transition to S 6. Will Correa, Kafusi and Stanley make an immediate impact 7. Can we return to our dominant ways at M&T 8. Who will be our lead back 9. Will Weddle mean more TO's finally 10. Will Waller be the X factor! 11. Will changing the sod mean less injuries 12. Will Harbs scale back camp a little to ensue less injuries Those seem to be the biggest question marks for 2016. I think by the end of camp we will have answered at least 7 of these gray areas. Which suggests that we should have little doubts about who we are and out identity heading into game 1 of 2016.
