  1. First 5 cuts 1. Chuck Jacobs WR 2. Stephen Houston RB 3. Matt Skura C 4. Tevon Coley DT 5. Kavel Coner -LB I think there will be some big names cut but not right away. I think some of the big names are: 1. James Hurst T (I agree with the article) 2. Lorenzo Talifero RB (Kid can play but cant stay healthy) 3. Kyle Arrington CB (agree with article) 4. Julian Wilson CB (just too much in front of him) 5. Keenan Reynolds WR (maybe he will go to PS which I hope) I do NOT think that these 5 guys will be cut (even though maybe they should)? 1. Arthur Brown ILB (He is improving- just really slow) 2. KLM (DL) (especially with the injury to Kafusi) 3. Pitta TE (even though he has been more injured then Camp) 4. Camp WR (we need a return guy too much) 5. Anthony Levine S (we like his size and versatility)
  2. I would like to believe that we should dominate those 4 teams but the browns dropped 30 + on us in both games last season. The Raiders put up 33 - The Jags only put up 22 on us but they did beat us and they are much improved and the Bills and Tyrod have some weapons (Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Little and Salas, Charles Clay, Lesean Mcoy, and Reggie Bush) IDK... but I don't think the Bills will be horrible under Rex. They may not be the Patriots or the Packers offense but they will test our defense
  3. I usually like to give pees the benefit of the doubt but this does drive me crazy. Its literally every single game. And no matter how long of a third down our defense is up against I never feel comfortable. Could be 3rd and 23 and somehow we always manage to give up a deep pass over the middle or commit P.I and just hand it to them. Frustrating as hell. I'm hanging my hopes on Leslie Frazier.... I hope he can have enough influence and impact to right the ship but TBH.... Im with you... I don't think we can stop anybody no matter what the situation... (and that is frustrating). SMH.... I just hope that LF makes a big impact of DP is gone before its too late!
  4. Yeah I like how he keeps hanging his hat on the second half of the season pass D like he had something to do with it. Matteson 2.0 the ole 3 man rush on 3rd down LOL.... agreed..... Uggggh it is hard to watch!
  5. I know the said that roster flexibility is an issue but ... at this point... Hester is more reliable then Camp and Camp will not break the top 45WR behind SSS, Wallace, Perriman, Aiken and CMoore- I know that Camp is younger but for what we are going to ask him to do.... IDK... Hester may be a bigger weapon and for sure a more reliable weapon!
  6. RAVLIVIE.... I am with you.... Pees is the problem on our defense. He keeps talking about how much better our defense was in the 2nd half of the season. In the first 8 games we gave up just over 27 pts per game. In te final 8 games we gave up just over 23 pts / game. What he don't say is that the back end of our schedule we faced some inept offenses. (Jax,Rams, Dolphins, and Browns were 4 of our final 8 games). The browns hung more then 30 on us both times we played them. (once in the first half and 33 on us in the 2nd half of the season) Then Bengals put up 28 on us in the first half and 24 on us in the 2nd (and I really felt like weather slowed them more then we did) The sqeelers put up 20 on us in the 1st half and 20 on us in the 2nd half of the season! IDK what everyone else thinks but I don't feel like we improved tremendously in the second half of the season. I think we faced worse offenses and had 5 of our last 8 games at home! 5 of last 8 games at M&T / bad weather which limits offenses and a part of our schedule where we faced weaker offenses. I think that had way more to do with our slight improvement then anything Pees did! We still couldn't rely on our defense to stop the run or pass... to get off of the field on 3rd down or to make a play when needed. Our defense has not had the look of a feared defense since Pees has come to Baltimore and TBH - I am really tired of his excuses. Pees says we are starting slow in the first two preseason games! Do we think that has anything to do with facing the other teams # 1 and starting QB? I know it is preseason but I see more of the same. Long drives, dumb penalties, cant get off of the field on 3rd down. Poor pass rush (in spite of the investment we made there), Too much cushion on pass coverage, and a lack of plays being made by a talented group. IDK but its always the same under Pees and I am afraid that nothing will change until we see our DC change! I just hope the season is not too far gone before Harbs, Ozzie, Decosta, or Mr Biscotti decides to make a move! Pees needs to produce now of he has gotta go!
  7. Three WR sets would look dangerous: Wallace, Aiken, SSS Perriman, Moore, Camp or 2 TE sets with Watson & Crocket or Gilmore and MAXX or even Maxx and Juice. (eventually Waller) (paired with two large WRs like Perriman and Moore...will be sick in the Red zone and short yardage situations) all that and still have dual threat RB's coming out of the backfield. Trestman should be licking his chops and salivating over what this season could be!
  8. Still would love to see us put Dean Pees on IR!
  9. Man.... We have lost Kafusi, Pitta and now Elam.... (already have Sizzle, SSS, Dumervil, Perriman and Joe on the mend).... Hope that injury bug leaves us alone this year.
  10. hope that Z proves to be a better pick then his former Kentucky teammate Bud Dupree in pittsburgh
  11. They are all getting snaps but so far Orr and Corrrea have been taking a majority of the snaps. I was thinking the same thing????
  12. Cant wait for it to start. We had some big signings: FA: Weddle, Watson, T. Richardson, M Wallace, V. Ducasse, J Powers and those have the potential to really help our team Draft: Stanley, Correa, Kafusi, Dixon, C Moore, Judon, Tavon, Cannaday, Henry, A. Lewis, and Keenan Reynolds. UFA: V. Ochi, S. Nembot, C. Luckett, J. Bruxton, M.Pierce, (I think there is a good chance that one of them will keep the streak going... I like Pierce... we probably have at least a PS member or two here). As big as some of these signings are and will be... I still feel like the biggest addition for the 2016 Ravens is Coach Leslie Frazier! Our DB has struggled since Pees took over at DC but the addition of LF should help ensure that this is no longer a weak spot of our team. Hope Harbs keeps pressure on Pees to be a little more aggressive ... I think the additions to our personnel and the addition of coach Leslie Frazier can bring us back to being a feared defense if Harbs tightens the screws and demands a little more out of Pees. I am excited about the potential of this team! Cant wait!
  13. wait...WHAT? That is a great signing. 1. It takes pressure off of Stanley to continue to progress at his own pace 2. It gives us a ton of options. With Stanley possibly playing inside at G or even Long playing in place of Wagner (if Wags is not healthy) or just as a legit back up to both. 3. With Vlad Ducasse and Long as back ups...we are legit two deep all over the OL 4. This is a contract year for Wags... takes pressure off of the organization and places it on Ricky 5. With young OT (Stanley and Alex Lewis)... it is great to have a veteran / pro bowler like Long to help groom them. Great move from Ozzie and company! Love it!
  14. I am surprised that Bortles and Carr were listed above Romo and Eli... I do think that both Bortles and Carr will be a handful again this year but we should be much better equipped this time around also!
  15. We can almost count on Big Ben missing at least one of the games vs us.
  16. I do NOT consider Dalton to be a dangerous QB... He is a QB with dangerous weapons but he is sub par for sure... and "IF" we can generate more of a pass rush against him. I think we can make it very difficult for Dalton to find those weapons with the consistency that he has in the past vs us. Plus the addition of Weddle will help us exploit Dalton and expose him for what he is. (he is a QB who will put up good numbers bc of his weapons and well rounded offense - but also a QB who will force things and turn the ball over a lot if /when pressured).
  17. HA...too funny..... another week or so and the news should start to pick up!
  18. WOW... Monroe didnt want to play anymore... and that s a shocker? It seemed like he didn't have it in him for awhile now!
  19. hen...C'mon... you really think the Rock is stronger then Suggs. Suggs is a feared football player... the Rock is an actor and has not worked out or prepared for combat in over a decade. His job is to work out, diet and look strong... Suggs job is to be strong! The Rock is a big dude but this is not the WWE ... the NFL isn't staged for choreographed.
  20. I said it in my post in Ravens Talk, all things being equal, I keep Reynolds. I think he has the physical abilities to be our swiss army knife on offense. He can play; WR, RB and a QB (God forbid) if needed. Maybe not needed bc of injury but would love to see Reynolds giving defenses a different look on short yardage and goal line situations!
  21. I doubt that. They will give him every reason up until final cuts to prove himself. You can't deny, when healthy, he can be a game changer. We've seen it. They're not going to just cut him b/c of past injuries. Trust me, they want to see a healthy and dependable Camp on the team. 757... I agree and there is no doubting that Camp has the ability to not just play in this league but to be a difference maker. That was never a question... the issue is (like Monroe) you cannot be a difference maker if you cant get on the field and stay on the field. With the number of injuries and the variety of injuries that Camp has had... it has to raise enough of a question mark that if... Reynolds shows any promise at all... that we would have to conclude that Reynolds is a safer bet. Cutting camp could mean that he goes elsewhere and performs but can we really risk a quality roster spot for someone who may performs 4-6 games a season? If we have no one else then we hang onto him and hope for the best... if Keenan plays 1/2 way decent or shows promise... I think Camp is too big of a gamble at this point. I hope I am wrong but put yourself in Ozzie / and the coaching staffs shoes... if Reynolds shows he can play at this level...and you can only keep one... what would you do?
  22. IDK but I think Campanaro may already be cut? Even if he performs well and stays healthy through camp... would the Ravens brass trust that he can stay healthy for an entire season. I don't think so ... and I think that is exactly why we drafted Reynolds! I think Keenan will see the majority of return duties come season and maybe even see him get more into the mix as a WR as we approach games 8-12 when teams think they have the book on us and Trestman wants to add a new wrinkle.
  23. Our Defensive front 7 is rated 19th? What? That puts us in the bottom half in the NFL.... SMH. If that ends up that way Pees should just resign. If we don't not end up in the top 10 I would be greatly disappointed. With the talent that we have we should be top 10 vs the run and with the emphasis we put on improving the pass rush... we should end up top 10 there as well. (especially with the return of Sizzle). If we are not top 10 in both categories.... we would have a great deal of soul searching to do.
  24. 10 reasons our WR corps also have potential to really rank much higher. Especially when you throw the TE's into the consideration. 1. The addition of Perriman, Wallace and Chris Moore will give us a lot of speed. A luxury we simply didn't have last season. 2. SSS... wants to go out with a bang. That is why he even returned. 3. The development of our TE corps. The addition of Ben Watson.. the return of Pitta, and the development of Gilmore and Maxx leave our TE corps dangerous additions in the passing game and will take some pressure off of the WRs 4. The running game should be improved with a year under Trestman and the return of Forsett and the addition of Dixon and Trent Richardson... we should be able to run the ball make us more unpredictable and taking a lot of pressure off of joe. 5. We will be better at protecting Joe. Stanley over Hurst off of the edge makes us light years better. 6. The emergence of slot WRs... (SSS in the slot, Camp healthy, Renyolds, Kamar) 7. The development of Juice. and the other RBs who can catch the ball out of the backfield. 8. Finally some familiarity with the OC... 9. Joe will be back and healthy 10. We have some very large Red zone targets now (Perriman, Moore, Watson, Gilmore, Maxx, etc.). Short yardage, redzone and chain movers - this is something we have not had much of in the past. All of these factors should greatly contribute to a very dangerous WR corps. I know that some are indirectly related but the will all play a role in us having maybe the best WR corps we have ever had in BMORE!
  25. IDK....too early to tell how the OL will fare. We know that Wagner is solid and can be a very good player in this league. We know that Yanda is one of the best OL in the NFL and we know that Zuttah is clearly a quality center. I believe that we have seen enough of Urschel to know that he can play in this league and play well. Stanley comes in with enough of a pedigree that he reduces too much anxiety. It will be a learning curve and it will take some time to gel but by game 6 or 7 we should really be better then last year and I say that for 3 reasons. 1. Stanley will be an upgrade over Monroe who could not stay on the field and even over a KO who had to bounce from G out to T. 2. Zuttah will be back healthy and Wagner will be fully healthy. This means that 2 of the 3 returning starters will be better then last year. 3. We will have better depth. I like Ducasse and think he may even start over Urschel but if not... great back up. Alex Lewis will add better T depth then Hurst did and Lewis can play inside at G or T. I also like Nembot (although I think he will end up on the PS). It may take a little time for this OL to come into their own but I really think we have the ingredients to perform way better then last season up front!
