  1. Gotcha, thanks.Edit: I guess if I had read the article closer I wouldn't have had the need to ask.
  2. So is Hill's extension added to the RFA tender he was playing on or replacing it? I guess what I'm asking is, will he be set to be a free agent after 2016 or 2017?
  3. "You can use my towel..." Best part of the commercial, so awkwardly funny. It makes sense that NFL players wouldn't know how to host a football party though, they're playing themselves most of the time when a football party is ripe to have.
  4. Wouldn't want to be a Ravens' player in practice this week. They better be ready for the "dress rehearsal" in the next game.
  5. So much for that one bright spot of solid special teams coverage...
  6. It can be fun, just not my cup of tea. But then again, neither is this game by the looks of it, haha. Glad I'm not watching by the way you all are describing it...
  7. Don't remind me, I live two miles from the speedway. Secluding myself at home with liquor tonight. NFL preseason > NASCAR
  8. I hope you all put some of Steve Smith's post-practice presser up later where he commented on Chip Kelly's "tough" practices... "There's no chatter about how his practices are. Have you heard about our practices? Exactly. We're three hours. This 2:15 man, this is like apple juice. It's great."
  9. If I were a player, I'd be shooting for an All-Pro nod, not Pro Bowl. Any player can make the Pro Bowl, just ask Derek Anderson. Being voted All-Pro is really the special recognition and one that other suitors will likely take more seriously if you hit the open market. Aim a little higher Kelechi!
  10. I'd like to see Tony Lombardi even attempt Harbs' conditioning test. And Webb passed it this morning, so not even a "blip" on his '15 season as far as I'm concerned. I doubt Ravens or Steelers fans would troll to that level, largely because 90% of the time there is a mutual respect not only from the teams but the fan bases as well from my experiences. Can't say the same for the Pats and Jets on the subject.
  11. To be fair, our entire line was below average in 2013, not just Gradkowski. That said, we are set at center for at least 3 more years. Zuttah got that extension after the team traded for him and while he was overshadowed by Yanda, Osemele, and Wagner before he got hurt, he was certainly no slouch last year either. Urschel showed he is capable of being a good center as well during the offseason and he certainly has the mental acumen the position demands.
  12. Suggs almost breaking the buzzer makes me think of Sweet Dee from the most recent season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. They did a "Family Fight" episode where she destroys the buzzer.
  13. If there is one thing I dislike, it is homerism for a specific player, not their TEAM. Why couldn't Aiken/Brown/Butler or Gilmore start the season? By all accounts, especially Aiken and Gilmore, have been playing well the last time we saw them (both scoring TDs in the playoffs) and have been practicing even better this offseason. I absolutely love the Perriman and Williams picks and they will be important cogs in this offense, especially if Pitta is not ready for the season. But to just hand them starting jobs is ridiculous and in my opinion, counterproductive to them in the long run. If the staff feels they legitimately earned it, that's great. Thankfully, Harbs and company aren't just going to elevate them over other hard workers just because of draft status.
  14. The new Faith No More album "Sol Invictus" is awesome for a band that hasn't put out an album in 18 years. Easily my second favorite of theirs after 1992's "Angel Dust." Definitely a lot more Mike Patton influence from some of his other bands like Tomahawk showing up here but it works well. That's not to say Roddy Bottom, Billy Gould, Mike Bordin, and their new guitarist are slouches by any means, it is after all Roddy, Billy, and Bordin's band originally with Patton initially sort of along for the ride so to speak. But all hail Mike Patton, the most ecclectic vocalist in musical history!
  15. ProFootballTalk is the worst site for football there is, from the "writers" down to the trolls for all 32 teams. I wouldn't worry about a single thing that comes from their direction.
  16. It's rare when a movie actually drags me out to a theater. It's even more rare when said movie causes me to go see it a second time in theaters. Mad Max: Fury Road is one of those rarities. Just saw it again yesterday and just as good the second time around. Relentless and true to the spirit of George Miller's first three incarnations. If you like action movies and and haven't been yet, I feel sad for you. 98% fresh from Rotten Tomatoes, so I'm not the only one who feels this way. Can't wait for "Mad Max: The Wasteland" to continue bringing this great series back for a new generation, and all of us old nostalgics.
  17. Decent depth with lots of experience. I doubt he makes the final 53 though but who knows what will happen.
  18. If he must have one, it should most definitely be Mad Maxx. The new movie is relentless and awesome, very much in spirit with George Miller's original 3. Hopefully he can be just as relentless on the field this year!
  19. I'm going to defer to John Urschel's math on the subject, I don't think we'll see an exponential increase in 2 pt conversion attempts. Also, I don't really see how it's fair if any team, including ours, is going to go for the PAT, gets a penalty on the try, and can just nullify that whole sequence by changing their mind and going for 2 from the 2. Shouldn't that penalty push back the conversion attempt as well?
  20. Uni Watch is bupkus. My dad is an old school Steelers fan from the '70s and he hates their throwback prison uniforms. But they're some of the best in the league to Paul Lukas, please...
  21. A little surprising to see them both cut for undrafted rookies, despite both being extreme longshots for the final 53. Best of luck to them both wherever their future takes them.
  22. I've been high on his hiring since he was brought on board last year, but this is where having a wide receivers coach who was actually a productive NFL receiver in Bobby Engram will pay dividends for us. Was never a fan of Jim Hostler since as far as I know he never played in a professional or college setting and it showed when we could never develop our young receivers. Aiken went from a guy who couldn't stick on a team to a solid contributor last year. Campanaro went from a rookie 7th round pick to a kid who showed some great flashes before he was injured. I know that Coach Engram will continue doing a fine job with these young men and our newcomers like Perriman and Waller.
  23. So many great memories from Ed Reed, my favorite player of all time. I'll never forget being at that Panthers game in '10 and Ed making the interception and pulling his infamous lateral move to Landry and it actually working! The most exciting defensive player to ever watch in my 30 year old book. Enjoy your retirement Ed, we'll see you November 22 and then sometime in the Hall of Fame. Suspend Brady against the Steelers and more. The bottom line from my perspective: if you are truly innocent of what you say are false accusations, you fully cooperate, give up pertinent information, and say "do your best because you're not going to find anything." That is what I would do in this scenario if I knew I was innocent, regardless of legal rights or being part of a union (and I actually am in a workers' union). But the Brady camp thinks they are floating down a river in Egypt, de(Nile). A lot of the material in the report IS circumstancial but those text conversations between the two equipment guys are pretty telling of what was going on. All Brady had to do in January was say "I do like my footballs a little less inflated and we talked about having them on the lower end of the PSI spectrum that is within the league's rules. If they didn't meet requirements, we didn't really know and it was certainly not intentional. I apologize for any mistake that was made, it was truly accidental and unintentional." It probably would have already been forgotten about if you had. But no, you went down the other path, caused an independent investigation that tends to support that you are being caught in some very questionable circumstances that make it clear you LIED to the "shield" and we all saw what happened with perceived lies to the league in previous investigations like the Bounty scandal. That alone should be worth the suspension.
  24. Bob Kraft is still offended, haha. You should be offended that your employees, specifically old Bill, are always looking for any loophole or rule to skirt to get that edge, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, instead of just focusing on the Xs and Os like the other 31 teams do. I said it before, that team is unable and/or unwilling to line up and beat an opponent in the trenches and if it weren't for Pete Carroll getting too cute, you would be facing this AND another Super Bowl failure.
  25. Wouldn't be surprised to see Cason back either, would be a cheap but decent veteran option to compete in training camp.
