Just saw Man of Steel last night. I have nevr been a Superman fan, just haven't so shoot me. But it was a really well handled movie that was a lot of fun. They do a great job of exploring Superman's origins with lots of background on Krypton and Kryptonian civilization at its downfall. Pretty well cast for the large part, my only real criticism is that at times there was so much wanton explosions and destruction I thought I might have accidentally bought tickets to a Michael Bay movie. I suppose when you have multiple Kryptonians involved, its just too hard to resist. This isn't a spoiler if you know anything about Superman but towards the film's conclusion, Superman and Zod fling themselves into orbit and not even the Hubble Space Telescope is safe feom the carnage, haha...apart from that, a pretty good flick overall and as I said, I'm not a Superman fan if someone is looking for a non fanboy review. Also, Prometheus was great, easily a 8.5/10 movie for me though I am a huge Alien, Aliens, and Alien 3 (directors cut only) fan so take that as you will. Also saw it mentioned 5 pages back or so and can confirm, Moon is a spectacular movie. I had always liked Sam Rockwell but this movie catapulted him into my list of favorite actors, an incredible performance by him. When you're essentially the only main cast member, your performance has to be good to sell the whole story and sell it he does, I highly reccommend it.
