  1. Ozzie says they want a bigger RB.....

How about laggarrette Blount?? 6-1 245lbs big enough?

I think he's came a long way since his college trouble. He had a pretty impressive season last season with the patriots! Avg 5.0 yards a carry and I think he had 4 td's in the playoffs against the colts. He's been sitting on that FA list for a while so I'd think he'd could come be a raven for a good deal??

    you stole my pic!!

  2. I think Edelman will require too much financial investment for a guy who we're not sure if his skill set translates to our offense. The reality is that Flacco's strength is not precision, timing passing on short to intermediate routes.

You're right about Steve Smith being a stop gap, but he can help our team for 2 years while which gives us the freedom to bring Brown and Mellette along slowly and also develop a high draft pick this year. We don't have to force a guy on the field if hes not ready.

And if he is ready you play him right away bc you haven't committed too much financially. Edelman you have to play right away and you're stuck with him for at least 2-3 years.

Id rather go the route of Steve Smith, another FA like Holmes or Britt and then a 1st or 2nd round draft pick.

My question to you is, why do the Ravens consistently meddle with non drafted Wide receivers? Am I suppose to trust the likes Mellette, Brown, and Deonte Thompson? My thing is just get better skilled players to develop with Flacco, instead of trying to hit the jackpot on a college free agent Wr.

  3. Smith, Brown and Pitta aren't stopgaps, besides it's about adding proven veteran leadership and skills. People like to point at Housh and Lee Evans as reasons for not bringing in older players yet conveniently leave out Boldin and Mason. You can't teach intangibles and toughness to rookies.

Anquan Boldin was a stop gap. He came in here in 2010 and left in 2012. Housh was a stop gap as well as Lee. Some of our draft picks have been like stop gaps. All I'm saying is Joe needs some more people who he can grow with.

  4. Those who don't want Smith obviously have never seen him play, nobody plays bigger than their size than Smith. He's the biggest man on the field any day of the week 35 years old or not. Whoever gets him is going to improve their offense for the next few years.

See what people don't understand is, he is another stop gap player who will leave Joe Flacco in a year or two. I'm tired of the Ravens doing that. We need someone who will grow a develop along side Flacco, instead of getting rentals. I rather have Eldeman than Steve Smith at this point of their careers.
