because there isnt even a WR in this draft worth a top 10 pick, and we have holes just as big in other spots, like FS, OLB, CB, and if monroe goes down 1 more time then we will have a big hole at LT as well, all of this paired with the fact that this draft features some incredible top end talent at all of these positions, and i think we are best off just passing on a wr until the 2nd

if we are top 5 I see us trading back , I have always said that,, I think we still do a fairly good job at drafting on defense,,,,thats why I think we grab a true ,, or a possible true 1,,lol,,

I no longer trust Ozzie with drafting WR's. Would rather just sign a proven vet even if they're north of 30. Flacco has success with those guys anyways.

If you all look at games we are and have been in a decline for years . ED and RAY on the field was a big help, but this candy team is HARBS,,  We played like everybody in the NFL hated us and it worked,, we had an attitude, we had passion and fire most of all we had heart,, today all we have is HARBS, goofy looks on the sideline, come on RAVENS NATION,HARB is a SPECIAL TEAMS coach,, like flacco needs a strong support cast , so do HARB . he can not do it himself,,,,

   you are correct,,what you said is factual , but what I see that is put on the field, yes you have to think the coaches are failing,, 

I played for a couple days (yrs), there was always a tip drill practice, DB's need to be ready at all times,they are not WR but they are expected to catch a couple balls,, with so many penalties especially at home , now you can look at fundamentals along with execution(2 very important words in sports),1 more point is in game adjustments, why wait till half time,,just a few points,,,   

Well as a "season ticket holder", you should be pleased at what Harbaugh has done during his tenure here. To date, not a single losing season and we could still finish 8-8 and you think he should be in the "hot seat".  Sorry but that's just asinine.   As far as the part I hi-lighted, do you honestly think he's not doing this?  Come on, he's used to winning! I'm sure he's turning over every stone trying to find out why they're finding all of these horrible ways to lose.  What really bothers me about posts like this is, fans honestly think that losing has a bigger impact on them than the coaches, staff, and players whose jobs are on the line.  

win, loose and draw a game played well or bad,,coaches and QB,, get all the credit and blame,, and yes i am happy for no loosing seasons,, but it sounds like you are truly settling for mediocrity,, we have had winning seasons ,, just saying it should have been more.look at what HARB inherited and the core players,, now lets look at games,,last year we left maybe 2/3 games on the table out of just simple coaching,, jj watt went berserk on us,,  the infamous 8-8 year,, da bears,bills packers ,, we should have won,, but they get a pass cause it was our first year without RAY RAY,,, 

     I am not putting down what you are saying,, all i am saying is right up the road in philly coach chip has completely dismantled that team,he knows what he wants and that is what he will put players in position ,,,if it does not work what will his new home be (not in philly) what about josh in denver how did that work out,,

     As a head coach he should see things go talk with your QB,,, talk with your DC and OC,,, you do not have to have till half time. tell pees get your butt out the booth and down here on the field,, I have always said every body wants to be responsible (that was my fault,that lose was on the defense,, our offense needs to be productive) so many excuses,, what about accountability what about consequences ,, I assure you if there was consequences many problems would in fact disappear,vanish.

     When ask is Harb on the hot seat, the answer should be YES,,, this is his team he shuffled many players out the door , then you have the so called dog house, he wanted a new england type of team , but he is not an X/O type of coach,,, and the fact that we are loosing by so little points just proves the point ,,"he does not know how to win", the only way harb should survive is if he has strong COORDINATORS,,,

I don't know what is it with flacco ...he just likes to saturate a guy lately.  Lack of confidence in the crew I guess.

 

Regarding penalties we were certainly outcoached.

 

I don't think we have leaders on the field telling the others to watch the penalty in the key situation. I really don't.  We just got gutted is all and its a long haul to get back.  Stopping the injuries would help, but come on.........we are clearly dysfunctional.

this is the problem ,, at least a portion,, you will have players saying I take full responsibility that is on me,, well you can say something like that,,, but you can be responsible and not be accountable,, 

when there is accountability for actions then there is change. if Harb was a true coach he can go to his OC and make a change,, when he came here he wanted a patriot type of team ,, he is not that head coach of NE,,, we need our identity back we really have a good team ,, there is talent there ... all harb had to say was stay in more of a TE set or hey JOE why are you targeting AIKEN so much,,little things like that shows people he is no real coach  

If you didn't care you wouldn't respond, Harbaugh road Billick's team to the dance with a quarterback he had nothing to do with being drafted, once he washed away Billick's team this is the results. If you don't care why are you even on the ravens page, hmmmm.

i have always said this,,, people was so happy when billick was gone but we still had that core 

well now the core is gone completely, we have a harb team,, 

now everybody will blame the injuries,, like last year and the the year before that and the 1 before that,,,

I don't think Harbaugh is our problem.  What we are experiencing is a long period of sub standard drafting...Too long for Today's NFL. You can't blow your top picks like we've been butchering them the last five years.  We haven't drafted any phenoms.

 

That said, I don't believe the team is responding to Harbaugh any longer.  8 years is a long gig in the NFL and we are at a complete rebuild juncture.  Still, we need to address the root problem.  We have a very old front office that has been entitled. Its time to address that.

HARB is not the only problem,, but he is the head coach,, 

when you get this many stupid penalties,, problem,,

when you throw a million times and 999 thousand go to aiken,,, problem

there was a thread on here that said " what would you do if we won 8 straight games?" ,,, I was going to write simply  "support our coaches",,, our coaches Harb in general is not an X and O type of coach so how can he follow up and correct,,,

This year is really testing my faith

I can't disagree with this more. Every year teams that win 7-10 games become contenders, and often times teams that squeak into the playoffs end up making deep runs anyway.

If you're insinuating that somehow a better draft position will help us more, than let me once again point out that teams with top draft picks mostly end up just getting top drafts picks every year because losing begets losing in this league.

We're much better off winning as much as possible and getting a winning momentum to our team and drafting in the middle-late of each round. Those are the teams that win next season, and the season after.

I watched treadwell play this pass weekend and he looks good ,, I see people here have him slated as the 3rd and some even the 4th best WR,, I am sure everything will change when the draft gets closer,,,

Harbaugh said(I know) he wasn't setback. He's just a REALLY slow healer. Imagine what would happen if he tore his ACL, he'd be out for like 3 seasons.

What ever we have in peeriman if we are drafting early we need a top WR, if Peeriman works out and if camp stays healthy(I know it's a lot of and) we would have a chance , 

spending our first high pick in 8 years on a rb will be a blown draft, period. taking elliott with this first round pick would be an absolute failure, i dont care if he is the next barry sanders, it will be a horrible pick. not to mention elliott isnt even THAT good, hes extremely overrated if he is projected in the 10-15 range

listen,, i would like a WR, we need impact players, we need players on offense first..  flacco can not do it by himself,,our rb now stays hurt . I like forsett but we do need a big body , i am not saying we need elliott , but we need that game changer who will be in the first round. WR,RB idk  who it is  

We don't need "pretty good" in the first round. Especially in a position as easy as RB. First round should be for drafting players that are needed.

DO we need impact players on offense, the answer is yes,  

RB is a position you can get in the later round,, so when a person states another person is pretty good then it is safe to say they are good needed players, Elloitt will be drafted between 10 and 15,, that makes him pretty good or for you in laymans term

A RB? Really? Why? That's literally as useless as DT on the list of our teams needs.

for the most part you are correct, but this kid is pretty good , I am not calling him gurly but he will go in the first.
