I have no idea what Todd McShay thinks of him. Not having ESPN in Austria but good Guess, Sir. does have pocket awareness and he has demonstrated the ability to avoid pressure and make throws in the pocket. He just needs to do it on a more consistent basis. One thing is for sure though, he will be getting a massive OL uograde fron UCLA. Being inconsitent in that part is really tough. For example the USC game at least he twice looked at the rush and was sacked as a reason and had good protection most of the game. His pick six was horrendous wrong read, bad throw and he nearly threw another one. He threw like 70%. He had two deep throws and a sure TD and underthrew it badly He has arm talent yes he is tough yes. But I am not a believer in him plain and simple

Brett Hundley although he fits Chips system. He is a 1st down and second round QB, read option. One read, quick pass. But on 3rd and long. Reading a D and looking at the rush, with his bad pocket awareness. He is gonna get killed in the NFL. Getting these bad habits out of his system will be extremely tough if it works at all. I would not have touched him before 3-4 at all

I was really skeptical after some things I read about him but For me he is an ILB in my 3-4 after watching 4 of his games I was surprised at how good he shed/avoided block he rarely he stayed blocked and got driven backwards. His quickness and insincts are very good, he is also very good in Coverage when one of your ILB can cover man to man like he does that makes you so much more unpredictable, he flys around and is a playmaker. A guy you want in the middle of your D. The player he reminds me of the most is Mychal Kendricks. And I love Mychal. Mychal is playing at 240, Thompson weighed in at the combine at 228 give him 12 pounds of muscles and he will be great + I have Dontarie Poe and Damon Harrison in front of him. I just fell in love with him. Think he can be a MYchal Kendricks with less pass rushing skills but more coverage skills

Well I think McCoy might be in decline which is a big concern with his running style. Alonso is coming of an ACL but very good yung ILB with great coverage skills are very hard to find. + big Cap relief for Philly

Thanks for the positiv feedback guys. He might play at tackle he might play at Guard. he was my No1 player on the board for some picks now + my OL was a need which adds to the value and if he ends up at Guard the guards left on the board are step below him. Therefore I am very happy.

Really rated him thought he might sneek into the 2nd. Although not sexy getting a player who could be a Pro Bowler for years at 25 is really good no matter what position. Erving recognizes blitzes and stunts very well and can block them easily thanks to his feet. Good an screens/pulls as well. And will get only better in power departments as he gets more used to playing Center. He was my #3 player left on the board. Would not have picked him but was in consideration. But better go get your guy than being sorry.

Note for you guys: I am in discussions with a bunch of teams regarding my pick 1/26. As you know for some trade partner it is mandatory for a certain player to be available but furthermore two are not availbe for the next few hours and I ve got to get some sleep.
