    2 corners don't start anymore, it's a 3 corner league now. That being said, I think he is more of a slot guy at this point and that would be Webbys area of expertise. But, Im sure one of them could bump outside. Right player, Right price is what it would come down to.

    It's been debated whether or not Torrey Smith is an "elite" receiver.

    I don't like to call guys "number 1s" or "number 2s" etc.

    But... for the sake of argument, I have a hypothetical for you:

    Texans aren't going to compete this year, and Andre Johnson has earned the right to request a trade to a contender.

    Do you trade Torrey Smith(and perhaps a mid-to-late round pick) for Andre Johnson?

    I assume we all agree Andre Johnson is a upper-echelon receiver. He probably only has 2-3 more good years left. Meanwhile Torrey Smith is young and already has chemistry with Flacco.

    Do you trade long-term security, for a chance at another title this year or next? Torrey will eventually want to get paid. He's still on his rookie deal. Andre Johnson also already knows Kubiak's offense. He blocks well(even though Torrey isn't horrible at it), which will help in the running game.

    This isn't really for those who believe Torrey is a great receiver... it's more for those who have questioned whether he's that talented. Those who feel he's really only a deep-threat guy. Obviously if you already feel Torrey Smith is a great all-around receiver, then you're not going to sacrifice the next 7 years for the next 2.

    Why do you say the texans aren't going to compete? That defense got better and they do play in a pretty weak division.

    I wouldn't trade for Andre. I would trade Pitta, Flacco and Torrey for Calvin though!!!! Just have Tucker throw him the ball

    Seems like the character issues may be too big.

     

    Vontaza Burfict was a UDFA who had character issues. It's never too big. It only becomes too big when it's time to pay them after their rookie contracts!

    So, what pick did everybody hate? What a people whining about? I just don't know why there are 21 pages of venting when we killed this draft.

     

    I LOVED this draft but then again I am a defensive minded fan. I would of liked a Tackle but I will take a future Center/Guard John Urschel.

     

    I will say I am not crazy about Crockett Gilmore and I wish we had gotten Terrance West there (dang Browns moving up!) but I also think we should of taking Brandon Thomas there. But like they say, Ozzie knows best, hope to see Gilmore prove me wrong.

    As I'm thinking about whether or not I like the Mosley selection, does anyone have any input as to where he may fit in? I know that he can play both MLB and OLB. At ILB, D. Smith is a near-certain starter this season, but I could see Mosley lining up alongside of him. Suggs and Dumervil are obviously the starters at OLB, with A. Brown waiting behind them. I think that was a solid choice.

    I would've liked a WR though. It was our main weak point last season, and this draft had plenty of good ones.

    Edit: And less than a minute after hitting "Post," we get Campanaro.

     

    As of right now, I see defense being:

     

    Jernigan-Ngata-Williams**

     

    Suggs-D.Smith-Mosley-Dumervil

     

    Webb-Stewart(maybe Brooks)-Elam-J. Smith

     

    **Canty wasn't great last year so I definitely see competition being open here with Williams, Canty and Urban. Either way, we got some great depth.

     

    Arthur Brown will come in as a Nickel backer.

    You're a Ravens fan? I would hope not. The only Browns jersey I would ever get would probably be Ozzie

     

    Seriously don't buy a West jersey now if you're a Ravens fan

     

    I went to Towson and we don't get too many NFL stars so yeah, I'm going to support my school and yeah I am a Ravens fan. Will I wear it to games? Absolutely not, but I ll wear it when the Browns play Pittsburgh or Cinci.

    Overall I am happy with the draft. Sucks Cleveland grabbed Terrance West before he could fall to us but I am a man of my word. Going to buy a West Browns jersey. Told myself as long as it isn't Pittsburgh, New England or Philly, I will buy one.

     

    Let me research this Gilmore kid, never heard of him.

    Cj Mosely was BPA. Actualy if any of you remember daryl smith coming out of college thats who i compare him to. Smith became a coverage monster as he developed. Oh and in my eyes Daryl Smith has been a pro bowler for years. Just with the wrong team.

     

    btw every team has its weakpoint. FOr us it probably will be free safety. I predict we pick up a RT or WR in this round.

     

    None of the free safeties in this draft impress me much

     

    Agree. I see us taking TE or Guard here (moving KO to RT). Comp pick will be Terrance West!!! Crossing fingers.

    Was it the sexy pick? YES

     

    Was is the BPA? YES

     

    Is it the right pick? YES

     

    Fixed.

     

    When Blount and Bell are coming through to the next level, we have a sure tackler and a guy who can disrupt the backfield by blowing past guards. I love this pick.

     

    Giggle Clinton-Dix maybe fast and cover a lot of ground, but he's an Ed Reed tackler. Drags behind people until they fall. A little undersized for FS and that was fine for Ed Reed but he was ball hawk. Chuckle Clinton-Dix is no Ed Reed. I would not have taken him in the top 20, apparently NFL front offices felt the same way.

    so its either going to take 4 yrs for a 2nd round pick we moved up for or 3 yrs for our 17th pick to cement a starting spot because we know that harbs will pick the exp of smith every time?

     

    Smith wont be here in 3 years, most likely will be here for 2. Art Brown won't play over him or C.J.

    I wouldn't assume Zuttah is being brought here to start at center or guard, probably more for depth and insurance.

     

    Who knows, maybe the change of scenery turns him into The Hulk.

     

    Why would you think he isn't a starter? He has missed 2 games I think since 2008, plays all 3 interior positions and didn't ride bench last year. He just needs  a change of scenery and he will be better in our ZBS if we have are guys healthy! Davin Joseph was terrible last year and Carl Nicks played all of a game and a half...
