Jacoby Jones couldn't play second fiddle to Andre Johnson. You really think Torrey is going to help him? I think you, along with most of the fans, overestimate our players.

Defenses will have to see more of Jacoby...meaning they will respect his speed and play deeper and off the ball which will benefit Dickson and Pitta, as well as the run game.

i have to pray the rest of the fans know better then me. boldin was my favorite it sucks. but i will say this my son went to school with omar brown if ed reed is gone we will be fine at that spot . that kid has a knack for the ball and doesn't know how to fail.

We will manage. We always weather the storm and come out ok.

I hit the wrong button, it should have been red. Boldin's play has been very consistent and in no way look like a shadow of himself. That said, what's done is done. I am wondering how many team mates are surprised and gasping for air.

He was one of the oldest guys we had and was getting paid too much. We need money to keep youth. He is not the future. You don't pay 8 million for a guy who struggles getting separation and was a non factor in a couple of games.

I wanted us to keep him, but I know we need to sign our guys. If cutting him lets us keep 3 young guys, that is fine by me. Pitta, Dickson and Art Jones will be back because of Boldin being gone.

Jacoby is a number 3 wide receiver Houston tried to turn him into something he was not and it didn't work out. We just had Jacoby be himself and utilized him the best. He just did what he normally did and happened to show up in the biggest games.

We've lost our most reliable receiver. I love Jacoby but his hands aren't great and he has problems catching in traffic. We don't have any big bodied physical receivers now who can just out-physical secondarys. Better hope we don't come up against any physical Corners. Anquans our only WR that could catch the ball consistently when covered.

i agree with the christian/omar part of this . reed has had 4 years to become a starter i watch every game preseason to last game of the season and sadly all i can remember of him is two fumbles, an injury, and a speical teams penalty in that time span . doss who knows the drops i saw at indy the superbowl he didn't even turn around on his route to find the ball on one play .but he did have some good plays i checked out posted by another fan .

Reed and Doss didn't start because they are possession guys. You don't want 2 possession guys out there (think of Mason and Boldin back in 2010)

Ha. I think you will find you are in the minority in thinking in that. You really care who our number 3 WR is? We got faster with our starting 2 Wide outs and we will utilize more 2 tight end sets. That is not a downgrade, it is an upgrade. Torrey and Jacoby were getting a lot of attention in post season which in some cases helped Q get open a lot.

Omar's nick name given to him by the defense is Baby Reed. You need to get on the field to actually show what you got.

One time a player was drafted in the 2nd round and a team gave up on him after his rookie year for not performing well enough in the chance he got....so they traded him to another team...the rest is history, isn't that right Atlanta?
