  1. good god, press enter every now and then, that is just a wall of text haha. What is factually incorrect about pro bowlers and stars? Vincent Jackson is a star now and broke out in 2006. Rivers, Gates, Tomlinson LITERALLY went to the pro bowl under Cameron....I think Cameron was actually the OC for the pro bowl that year, maybe im wrong on that one, might of been the Patriots OC at the time. I might be wrong but it sounds like you are being sarcastic about Cameron "making LT". If so you are contradicting yourself. You say that Tomlinson was a top 5 pick but let's give credit to Cameron and you praise what Shanahan did with the number 2 pick in the 2012 draft lol I hope that's not what I am reading! I disagree with your assessment of Joe's accuracy. I don't know if he can consistently put the ball where it needs to be. I think 2010 was his best season and that is when he had Jim Zorn as his QB coach. We need a guy like that to work with Joe. We will see who Harbs goes with, either way, I don't see us being a west coast offense. If they go with Kyle Shanahan, they will definitely need to rehaul the offensive line and see who can do ZBS and who absolutely cannot.
  2. Well with Kirby out, no news on Linehan, sounds like it is just down to Hostler and Shanahan...Hopefully, I am wrong about them both...either way, we need a QB coach for Flacco
  3. Cam Cameron made Antonio Gates, LaDanian Tomlinson, Phillip Rivers, and Vincent Jackson into stars and pro bowlers while he was in San Diego what's your point. How much of it is just talent and how much of it is scheme? That's the point I am trying to make. I do not think the west coast offense would be good for Joe. He is not really good on the short routes which is 90% of the throws. Yeah, I agree that our receivers need to get open and we do need an offensive coordinator with an imagination but I don't think that scheme fits Joe's strengths. Air Coryell is a great system for Joe, they just need to get him some weapons. Slaton had a 3.3 average the following year with Kyle after his "Breakout year". RG3 had a ROY winning year one year, then fell on his face the next year. So who knows what kind of Offensive coordinator he could be, he hasn't had a long tenure at either spot he has landed. So the 4 years under Mike is what we go off of where he had an awesome top 5 offense in 2012 but mediocre offenses in '13,11, and 10. I think it's really between Hostler and Kirby, doesn't matter who we take, it's about what Ozzie does in the off season. But what I've heard about Shanahan, don't really want him.
  4. Interview with David Elfin on the NOrris and Davis show " Steve asked David for his thoughts on Shanahan possibly coming here and how it would work. David said it would really be up to Joe Flacco, while Shanahan can produce a very good running game he has also rubbed quarterbacks the wrong way. In Washington Shanahan’s “prickly personality” was a problem between he and McNabb which saw Donovan leave town, and the 2nd time Kyle was run out of town for not working well with RG3. Ed asked about the possibility of a rift among the coaching staff in Baltimore and whether or not bringing Shanahan in would cause even more problems for the Ravens. David said that there was a rift in DC but it was mainly because Kyle’s father was the head coach and other coaches thought he might be getting preferential treatment. David talked about Shanahan’s system and how he runs a West Coast type of offense and how that may be a problem between Flacco and Kyle. The west coast offense needs a very accurate QB which is something Joe has struggled big time with in his career and David said that will drive Kyle absolutely crazy. David noted that inaccuracy was the big problem between Kyle and Donovan McNabb."
  5. Kirby does have to start somewhere but I don't want it to be here. We need a guy to work along side of joe. A RB coach doesn't exactly sound good to me. McDaniels' ego is in check by Belichick who is a strong, respected coach. There is a reason he is sticking to OC and not taking a HC job. He is a part of a system that the Patriots have had for years. The love for Shanahan on these boards is amusing to me. He will be a scape goat in the way Cam was except for he will have that D-Bag attitude of Todd Haley annoying Joe.
  6. All I have heard about Shanahan is that he rubbed ALL of the QBs the wrong way in DC and has a massive ego and butts heads with staff members including his own father. I've heard Donovan McNabb had more of a problem with Kyle than Mike. I don't want him at all. Quite frankily, there is nothing in this thread that has made me believe/think he would be a good fit here. Joe Flacco would not be good in the west coast offense. He is not accurate enough in the short to intermiediate routes.
  7. Kirby, Hostler and Shanahan apparently. I was listening to the fan, they said those 3 guys. I don't know why Scott Linehan is out but these are 3 terrible options. Shanahan has an ego issue and I have heard nothing good about him. Hostler can't even get his receivers open, failed in San Fran and has nothing on his resume that shouts he should be an offensive coordinator. Kirby has never done it before. Honestly. IF we pick one of these guys and fail, at least Harbaugh will lose control if Biscotti is true to his word. The guy doesn't do well bringing in coaching personnel.
  8. The Wolverine was alright. Wish Fox Studios would lose the rights to the X Men, Spider-man and Fantastic 4 so Marvel can do a better job. I just felt the end of the Wolverine was way too obvious.
  9. As of now, here is the 2014 Free Agent WRs. In Bold is guys I would want. Obviously the talent level isn't all the same but there are a few bargain buys that would be upgrades of what we have now. Eric Decker Anquan Boldin Hakeem Nicks Golden Tate Emmanuel Sanders Jeremy Maclin Riley Cooper Jacoby Jones Devin Hester Ted Ginn, Jr. Julian Edelman Jacoby Ford Robert Meachem James Jones Dexter McCluster Darrius Heyward-Bey Mario Manningham Santana Moss Kenny Britt Domenik Hixon Brandon LaFell Dane Sanzenbacher Andre Cladwell Kevin Ogletree Chad Hall Jerome Simpson Austin Collie Josh Cribbs Jerrico Cotchery Kassim Osgood Kyle Williams Damian Williams
  10. I think the Patriots would be after him but they have already dealt with one Tight End with a bad injury, they would be concerned about his hip. But they would like the fact that he didn't murder someone executioner style, so there is always that.
  11. I don't see Pitta going anywhere else. Let him test free agency, then sign him. I don't think other teams will take the chance on him. It is not like he is this elite tight end option. He just has great chemistry with Joe because they shave weird maustaches together and go on man dates. I think we can get him on the cheap side if we let him go and see what is out there and match any deal he gets.
  12. I too thought it was strange Allen wasn't on the list but Kerley was.
  13. Thank You. I am in no way a Michael Oher fan or hater but I've been saying this for weeks now. He was not that penalized.
  14. Might join you. Fingers crossed for Jacksonville St, but we know better to ever trust a team from Jacksonville to not choke lol
  15. Everyone is going to want Swanson in the third which means we will have to take him in the 2nd I would say OL in the first just because of how poor ours has been but looking at this draft...they are mostly day 2 talent within our range...TE or WR it is I guess.
  16. Neither one is a great blocking option. Hopefully we address Tight End in the draft to complement Pitta, I don't see Dickson being back. But at this rate, I rather take a Center or Right Tackle in the first...
  17. Well I am going to ignore the first sentence because I am not going to get into that debate. Too much of that on here anyways. Pitta offering so little as a blocker? He graded out positively in his return back and that was in bad conditions. Is he the best blocker? Far from it but he is the best blocking tight end we have that can go out for a pass after laying a hit at the LoS. I don't think he will get a massive Contract. $5-$7 million range a year is probably tops.
  18. Seeing Desolation of Smaug tomorrow morning, 11 AM. So pumped!
  19. Anthony Davis and Eric Pike are names worth remembering. Wouldn't be shocked if we brought those linemen in. But yeah, West averaged 9 yards a clip last night. He was practically averaging a first down a touch!
  20. Well Graham and Gronk have much better Quarterbacks and a freaks of nature. That's like comparing Torrey to Calvin Johnson.
  21. Dennis Pitta resigned? Why?! Why would he quit now? Just kidding. We will RE-SIGN him because we saw we really don't have much at the TE position. Clark will be gone next year, Dickson as well. Do you expect us to replace 3 tight ends in one off season? Ozzie will be sure to point out the injury, point at the stats but I have a feeling the ball is in Pitta's court. He is Flacco's favorite target and they will not let him walk.
  22. I would love to have him back. Him and Joe are starting to get on same page. Flacco doesn't seem to be one of the QBs that you can plug any receiver in there and he will have immediate rapport. Him and Brown are getting there but a lot of miscommunication still.
  23. Django is unchained but doubt he is coming to Bmore.
  24. Ed Reed is no Ed Reed
  25. Typical Ravens fan post lol As soon as he got cut I'm thinking " someone is going to actually want him to come back to Baltimore"... And here we are. No. I do not want him to play for us but I would love to extend him a coaching position. Hell , even an offensive line coach
