Love the effort that Correa is putting in but Can you believe they haven't announced the release of that perriman guy!.............smh..... wasting roster spots!

There is a reason they hire the real pro's to run the team. Most people faced with those tasks would give in to the outside pressure instead of stick to their strategy. Ask teams like Cleveland how that approach works out (speaking to their "home run everytime" strategies of old.

IMHO you cannot accurately judge a player's value based on being injured. Players of all caliber get injured, its part of the game. Perriman will be a difference maker when he's able to return, which is to say he will be a contributor.

Using the logic of your comment would mean cutting Pitta, J Smith,
Suggs, Dumervil, etc just because they are injured does not mean they are wasting a roster spot.

After last season I think it is very fair to say that the Ravens have figured out how to manage the injuries rather well and still be competitive no matter who is out.

Haters gunna hate. Watch us cut him and go to the bengals and destroy us once he's healthy. Then Ozzie will get blasted by the same fans for not sticking it out just a little longer.

Not particularly enthused with the class, but I'll go with Matt Judon.  His play will be sporadic, but, for a number of reasons, I believe his play will increase as the year progresses.  I make his Sacks Total Over/Under @ 6.5

This is an odd comment. This is imo the best draft in a very long time and I just don't see Judon making it on the field enough to name him the Ravens rookie of the year.

For me, just to name a few.....Flacco, Jared Gaither, Arthur Brown, and Michael Campanaro,

Jared Gaither? He was pretty solid in 2008  and then got an injury bug. He only cost us a 5th so I don't know if I would call that a disappointment. I think him being so enormous contributed to his body not holding up for very long.

  4. Moderators,

Does this contend with the least liked post ever?

now to the subject. I wouldn't have a problem with Manziels character issues if he was as good as the hype suggested coming out. If he was partying like a crazy man and still balling out on a high level it would be pretty fun to watch. However, he's a wreck all over the place, but i would totally watch him on an episode of that show intervention.

Decosta the guy that ran the ravens into the ground if this draft, free agent class and season is a bust. If ravens have double digit losses again do you really think Decosta will be a hot commodity?? I'm not surprised you guys think that. Dude this board us going to get interesting when the realistic fans flood in if ravens have double digit losses CONSECUTIVE seasons.  If this draft doesn't produce impact and ravens lose double digits again Decosta is going to be Grbac 2.0. A lot of it rides on Ron Stanley. Because it will trickle down to the qb and team that  will not play well. The question is are you joking?? Do you want to be the dude that called Decosta coveted??

I honestly think our past two drafts have been two of the best drafts in YEARS. I don't know if it's a play off year, but I think we are in the cusp of a great few years. We had a drought draft wise for sure until recently, but it would be interesting to know which years Decosta had more to do with.

Matt Elam steps up into the third safety role and thrives as in box safety with fewer roles and responsibilites.

When Webb goes down with injury for a couple games, Elam steps into the SS role and earns a new contract.

I think Ozzie would like this prediction a lot.

Dude, I dunno what possessed anybody in the front office gradkowski could play center in the nfl!! lol please do not mention Urschel with gradkowski. Urschel has talent and strength and tenacity. Gradkowski was terrible!! lol for not having a better word. Urschel I would bet on being a top10 center at least, by playoff time if ravens keep him at center. Which could happen. There is some news floating ravens could cut zuttah. If is probably on the net to read. Harbs is really really liking Jensen and Urschel!! And Alex Lewis is making an impression

I don't see the Ravens cutting Zuttah. I feel like a lot of people on here really underrate Zuttah in hopes we have a HoF center on the bench. I like the optimism people have in our young guys, but Zuttah has been solid. You hear his name less than anyone on the line and for a lineman that's a very good thing.

adding* since you post so much about physical attributes and I won't deny you know more in that regard than most. Do you think Urschel has all that much strength in comparison to the best o-lineman? I personally don't and that's not saying I don't think he can be a good player in this league.

If for some reason Zuttah were to go down, Im more inclined to think they would move Urschel to center and have Jensen or Lewis fill in at LG.

I disagree. Jensen is a better center than Urchel. I was not impressed at all with Urschel at center. I have no issues with Urschel starting at guard because he has looked good there, but this infatuation with Urschel at center is confusing to me.

  9. So bold predictions we know how this works, a prediction that has the slightest possibility of happening. Here are mine:

    1. Ravens get into the playoffs on a wild card and beat the steelers in the divisional round and the patriots in the AFC championship to lose at the Super Bowl to the panthers.

    2. Elvis Dumervil comes back and breaks the season sack record as well as being the DPOY.

    3. Steve Smith has the best season of his career with 112 receptions and over 1600 yards.

  10. With Brandon Williams skill set he's pretty much shown what he is. I don't think he will improve his worth much with yet another good season. The only thing he can do at this point is hurt his worth with an injury. By skill set I mean he's a rugged nose tackle which no matter what he won't  get the credit he deserves. Best 3-4 nose tackle in  the league, but he won't get a massive contract, but he deserves a big one so hope we get it done now. He doesn't have the sack or TFL's, but he holds down the middle like no one else in the league.

I'm a contrarian, so while Ray is clearly the best ravens player ever, my personal favorite is Derrick mason. He was so fun to watch, he was little, old, and slow, but he couldn't be stopped, he was so quick and imo he was the greatest route runner to ever play, I've never seen a guy so precise and technical and it was all 2nd nature to him, he could wiggle himself into box out position and outleap guys even though he was little(so many times he would be behind a defender, cut back and slide past the defender to box him out, impressive) and I'll never forget in 07 when he made bellihick cuss him out because he was wearing their defense out and he hopped up and ran his mouth to Bill. He was awesome.

I was coming here to say Derrick Mason. I forget which game it was, but he had tore his shoulder up somehow, but still had a huge game catching balls with one arm. That game and the game Yanda played a couple days after ankle surgery and had the bloody sock are two games they should show rookies what it is to be a raven.
