i have to wonder if the pitta and flacco debacle made him dial it down 10 whole notches, all we heard about was this dog out there lighting dudes up and making plays in coverage, and then in preseason he looked rather timid. i have to wonder if hes either intimidated under the lights or if the coaches told him slow it down a notch because he isnt gonna start and he has time to really soak up some coaching.
Yeah, I often wonder why he cooled so much seemingly so fast. It's like after the Pitta incident we stopped hearing about him and he plummeted down the depth chart. Makes you wonder if he flipped the switch off during practices and just wasn't looking good because he wasn't being himself and tumbled down the depth chart. Going from practicing with the ones to being at the bottom of the depth chart could've really messed with his confidence as well. I feel like the only way to give him that fire back is to get him on the field and let him make some plays, but if he plays without fire until that time is it worth it if there are guys that are playing better?
It's a difficult position for a coach. Put the guys who are playing better and give you a better chance of making plays or put the guy who is in a psychological rut hoping he might make a play.

I don't know about Correa because after Arthur Brown, I'm apprehensive about our 2nd round linebackers on defense. Also, the fact that he didn't take any defensive snaps tells me he isn't ready to take snaps yet and only contributed on special teams. But, you never know he may suddenly explode into a real player. Jernigan on the contrary is a home run but again he isn't a LBer.
I'd pay to see Alex Smith playing OG as long as its not for the ravens.
Bills -Won
@ Browns - Win. For a team with a lot of bad seasons under its belt I think this season will be one of their worst.
Jaguars - Win. After the close loss last season I don't see our guys letting it happen again.
Raiders - Win. For the same reason as the Jags
Redskins - Win. Cousins gets into an interception throwing mood.
Giants - Win. Our defense bends a lot in this game, but they don't break. Our offense puts up TD's while NY puts up FG's
Jets - Win. We are on a roll.
BYE
Steelers ( home ) - Win. Come back off of the bye refreshed and ready to chase a perfect record.
Browns ( home ) - Win. Browns put up a fight and we just barely win. Starting to loosen the reigns on a perfect season.
Cowboys - Win. another ugly win, but our defense shuts down Elliot leaving the ball in prescotts hands.
Bengals -( home) Loss. Leave it to the bengals to ruin our perfect season at home in devastating fashion.
Dolphins - Win. Ugly win to get back in the win column.
Patriots - Loss. It looked like we were going to edge out another close victory, but Tom Brady rallies at the end of the game.
Eagles - Win. The rookie QB just isn't a match for the Sizzle/Doom combo.
@ Steelers - Loss. Steelers get pay back at home to rally at the end of their season to clinch a wild card.
@ Bengals- Loss. Bengals sweep us. One of the downsides to a good season.
12-4 and Playoff Joe decides to show up after a poor second half of the season to take us to the superbowl.

I'm still worried about them because their next game is at San Diego and if they lose that then they will be in super desperation mode and we have a history of struggling on the road against weak teams.
I agree. Their offenses are very different in that one is a dynamic run based offense and the other is a very versatile pass offense. Not having to deal with a well rounded offense right away to get our defense in a groove and build confidence before we have to face the bengals and steelers who can effectively run and pass on you I think will be really good for our guys.
I personally don't know that our pass rush was that bad. We didn't get the sacks, but I saw Jernigan, Judon, Zadarius, Mclellan who isn't even a pass rusher and even webby getting back there. Tyrod wasn't at all comfortable and he really isn't a guy that gets sacked all that much to begin with so I feel like the game plan may have been more about putting just enough pressure on him to make him uncomfortable, but not too much to where he will burn us and make us pay. Because we definitely contained him when he did try to take off.

In fairness if the defense can't find life without Suggs I don't have the warm and fuzzies.

We won't know how good our defense is until we go against the Jags.
Agreed, I think he needs to take some of ZDS' reps. ZDS seems to always be close, but I think Judon has a step or two on him.
There we go
Come on Yanda
Timmy boy!!
Aight defense lets get more negative yardage.
There we go tuck
Let's get on the board
Good note for the defense. We may make it to the second quarter holding them to negative yards
Now we are clicking
Wowowowowowow!!!!! Welcome BP!!!!
Let's go

Mink and Downing are terrible about over hyping. Although if I could I would choose either one of them to replace Hensely

I agree on Crocket. He's a real hassle to bring down. I think Maxx is faster and quicker and has better instincts as a ball carrier.
Edit: I actually think the hurdle is often unnecessary. It's more flashy than effective imo
It's really going to come down to who is healthy. I think they cancel eachother out and are pretty even.
Hands- Crocket<Maxx<Pitta
Blocking- Pitta<Maxx<Crocket
Playmaking after the catch- Pitta<Crocket<Maxx
Chemistry with Joe- Maxx<Crocket<Pitta
to me there's no clear favorite. Who is going to stay healthy is the question.

He'll create 1.4M in dead money and will be a 2.3M cap savings ... not that we need much cap right now (or do we)?
I feel like he's gone. In limited action in preseason he didn't really impress.
1 minute ago, 4everraven said:If they sign Hester, who is gone? Right now, there is no return guy unless it's C. Moore for KOs and Webb or SSS to fair catch punts, which I'm fine with.
Marshal Yanda as returner GOAT
Wow. Alot of surprising moves. Not that I couldn't see any of them happening but for so many of them to happen.
Cutting Forsett- I think we all thought this was a possibility, but not a probability.
5 WR's- With SSS and Perriman coming off injuries I didn't see this happening. I guess they must really like what they have in Aiken,Wallace, and Moore.
Keeping Hurst over others- I don't know how he snuck on while some of these others got the boot.
Pierce as the I undrafted rookie. After game 4 it seemed like he had a shot, but I wouldn't have guaranteed it.
Carter finding a way in on a DEEP position.
7 corners. With our past this is smart, but wow. Who would have thought. Glad Canady made it.
Elam over Brooks.
Stanley looks good. honestly I like him against guys like Von Miller and Mack. He's quick and athletic. What I worry about is guys like McPhee and Watt. Powerful guy are what I see being Stanley's problem.

What makes you say ZDS and Judon need to get up to speed? they are getting pressure regularly. Hate to say it but I think we missed Upshaw today. The edge setting is where we were lacking and Dumervil is not the answer for that.
