  1. what is this tackling you speak of?
  2. put dean pees in at running back!
  3. sooo does anybody here think that kap has a career day today?
  4. two down clowns
  5. is there any way we can trade some players for a win or two?
  6. I don't think he has done too shabby honestly 2008 1. Joe Flacco- arguably the best QB in the draft. Depends on who you ask between him and Ryan. 2. Ray Rice- Arguably the 3rd best RB taken and was the 7th Rb taken. 3. Zibby- Decoud was the only Safety I would have picked over him and zibby was the fourth taken. Also Haruki in the 6th wasn't bad. So he missed after the 3rd round where the talent pool is limited so I would say good draft. 2009 1. Michael Oher- Oher wasn't terrible. I will say there were better guys picked up after so its not a fail but not a success 2. Kruger- He was the best player at this position at this point in the draft and better than many picked before him. So good pick here especially since at this time Suggs was our only pass rusher and it was a need. 3. Webby- 1 of very few hits in a draft with a lot of CB's coming off of the board. 6. Cedric Peerman went on to have a pretty decent career for a 6th rd pick. Although RB was already pretty full and guys like captain munnerlyn and Edelman were still on the board kinda makes it hurt a little. 2010 Worst draft he has had. Although the kindle fiasco just couldn't be predicted. He was a boss in college so its one of those who knows what could have been. Cool we got Pitta, but we traded back and missed out on Gronk and we drafted ed Dickson over Jimmy Graham. So I have nothing good to say except Art Jones. 2011(possibly best draft) 1. Jimmy- probably the third best CB in the draft. 2. Torrey- 4th best WR and 5th taken. I'll take it 5. McPhee- huge steal, should've paid the man but oh well 6. Anybody see what he is doing in buffalo? Just because we never needed the insurance doesn't mean it wasn't some of the bang for your buck when it came to a back up QB. Look at what we are paying Schaub. He saved us money and I think this is an example of something some people don't realize the value of. 2012 Upshaw- 2nd best OLB taken in this draft behind Hightower and I would say they are pretty dead even. he was the the 4th taken. we had lost JJ so this was needed and he delivered. Having Kruger as the pass rusher and Courtney as the edge guy was a good and cheap combo. Osemele- Best guard in the draft. 2013 very underrated due to this Elam, Brown picks 3. Brandon Williams needs no introduction. He's a monster 4. Juice- he is finally getting a chance to make plays this year and doing a really good job. However our badd D is overshadowing anything good right now. 5. Rick Wagner- don't understand the hate on him this year. He's played well I have though. 6. KLM- for a 6th rounder and the cap hit I don't hate what ive seen. just the injuries. 6. Jensen- His time is coming. I think he will supplant Zuttah in a couple of years. He was just so young coming out. 2014 1. CJ Mosley- not only the best of the draft he is one of the best in the league. He gets torn up in coverage, but that is a scheming deficiency by Pees. Yes, he still needs to get better in that aspect. 2. Timmy Jernigan- He's not where we thought he'd be after his flashes last year. He still has the flashes though so I'd say it is still a really good pick and his best is to come. 3. Brooks- Jury is still out. He's played great, average and terrible so he needs a little more time. 4. Gilmore is a boss. 4. Urban we will see 4. LT needs to stop getting hurt 5. Urschel - killer pick 7. Camp needs to stop getting hurt 2015 just so far Maxx and boyle lead all rookie tight ends in receptions and Maxx leads in yards as well. Carl Davis is looking very good for a rookie on the DL.
  7. Second year in a row we have been completely plagued by injuries which can be prevented by proper strength and conditioning. Also losing games in the second half. Could it be an issue of fatigue and not talent or gameplan? IMO it's clearly an issue and Rogucki deserves some weight of the blame, but how much?
  8. I mean I understand that its also on the players, but if you put the defensive woes on the players and pees, is it not the same for the strength and conditioning coach. Otherwise what's the point in having strength and conditioning personnel if they aren't there to mitigate or minimize these possibilities. If you look at the Ravens compared to other teams accross the NFL we are above the norm when it comes to injuries. So is it dumb luck or something else. Just saying it is something that deserves a look into.
  9. As someone with chronic knee issues and continuing to compete in athletics knee injuries can be minimized in many ways. Joints become less durable when you're dehydrated which was a major problem for me as a wrestler often times dehydrating myself to make weight. Guys at this level especially ones with joint problems should get an IV in my mind prior to competing. Also building the muscle around the knee for stability without irritating it. Doing full squats and anything using both legs you will tend to favor one leg so doing exercises isolating muscle groups is very important. Not saying the trainers don't do this, however it is worth questioning.
  10. I know it doesn't make sense, but I think Seattle is a favorable matchup for us. Their receivers aren't dangerous at all. We still have a good run D so that's my reasoning. Just my opinion, which means nothing b.c I've been wrong a lot lately.
  11. Week 6- @49ers Prediction- L Torrey and Boldin are going to wreak havoc on our secondary. The only way we win is if one of our receivers steps up. Week 7- @Cardinals- L Same story just even better receivers. Week 8- Home Vs Chargers- L Philip Rivers gave us fits when we had a good defense. Week 9- Much needed BYE week Week 10- Home Vs Jaguars- L Hurns and Robinson are looking really good despite being on the jags. Week 11- Home Vs Rams- L Week 12- @Browns- W maybe Week 13- @Dolphins- L Week 14- Home Vs Seahawks- W the only team with worse receivers than us. Week 15- Home Vs Chiefs- L Week 16- Home Vs Steelers- L this is going to be sooo ugly. I don't even know if I want to watch. Big Ben back, and in the playoff hunt Week 17- @Bengals- W thanks Marvin Lewis for sitting AJ Green. 4-11 If our secondary can get their heads out of their butts and if pees can remember to add a gameplan to stop the pass we might have a shot at a run.
  12. I get your frustration and I agree they weren't the smartest calls, but in comparison to Cam Cameron I'll stick with Trestman another season and see what happens.
  13. All I'm saying is if the defense didn't allow 500 yards every game we could seriously be 4-1. If the offense did the exact same and the defense did any better I think your tune would change on trestman. I say fix the defense before you go calling for the mans head. If the defense gets fixed and he blows it ok, but I think your being a tad hasty on him.
  14. Look I will agree Ozzie gambled big this offseason and he lost big time, but I'm not pulling the trigger on getting rid of him by any means. He blew it this offseason big time on quite a few things. I say wait and see what he does next and he can put together a good team for a comeback season next year.
  15. Yes fire Pees. As for Trestman I definitely think he stays. He's running an offense he isn't used to and we are putting up enough points to be in these games our defense puts us in. If our defense could stop anything and our offense played the same way everyone would be thrilled with Trestman. He's doing his job the defense needs to do theirs.
  16. We would lose to a bad high school team right now
  17. We absolutely suck
  18. We are not a very good team.
  19. They still run a 4-3.
  20. I'd like to see him get reps at DE.
  21. I really don't disagree with you. I am a big 3-4 guy and really not a big 4-3 guy. I just think right now we don't have a real great 3-4 end and we are hurting with 3-4 OLB depth. However now that I think long term I think a switch to a 4-3 would be a quick fix and if we stick to a 3-4 we have a good foundation to build something great.
  22. Exactly. I think our DT rotation could be like the rotation we had at OLB last year. That inside rotation would be disgusting!
  23. Agreed, but at the price he's at right now eek.
  24. I have usually been against it b.c of personnel, but I think with who we have we actually would be better off in a 4-3. Here is why. Dumervil is not an every down OLB, but I think he probably is an every down DE. Babin looked his best when his hand was in the dirt. Upshaw and ZS probably would be pretty well suited at DE. Having a rotation between Jernigan, Williams, and Davis would be pretty sick. Brown would finally be able to earn his keep as a second rounder as a 4-3 OLB. The only issue would be depth at linebacker. You would have to cut some DT's and find some good depth for the linebackers. Not saying we should shift right now in the middle of a season, but I think now more than ever before it's something to entertain.
  25. This. Ngata was not worth the money anymore. It's a business and it was the correct business decision.
