  1. Or fall down a flight of stairs...
  2. How to you change a play mid play?
  3. I don't laugh very often. That made me laugh.
  4. I think we need to go sit on san Diego and Cinci's free agents and snatch who we can. They have a lot of free agents coming up and definitely wont be able to keep all of them. Here are some of the guys on those teams I would keep an eye on. Malcom Floyd. with Keenan Allen and steve Johnson they let him loose. He's not the same player he was, but he's better than what we have. Definitely shouldn't overpay on this one. It's either a good deal or pass. Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu. Bothe guys are solid wide outs that I think would fair better with Joe throwing to them. Again its gotta be on a good deal. Patrick Robinson, Leon Hall, Adam Jones, Reggie Nelson, Eric Weddle...Obvious reasons.
  5. The season itself I believe this year is the worst and most disappointing. The 07 team I think was a worse team. We have been within one score of winning each game against really good teams this year. We have a very competitive team we just don't seem to want it enough to win. If this team had the fire and will to win that our super bowl team had we could be undefeated right now.
  6. A PCL injury is one to be very cautious with though. That's what keeps the knee in place so stability is the issue. If he dislocates his knee he could possibly injure a lot more than just his PCL. Now this is where I start to question the medical and strength and conditioning staffs. Why wasn't the surgery done sooner? What kind of workouts and strength training do they have him doing? If anything this is a failure on their parts. I've said before that the strength and conditioning program needs to be looked at as does the medical staff. Whether you think it's a players responsibility to condition themselves or not bottom line these people get paid for something and whatever it is it isn't working. We are second in the NFL with people on IR. The medical and strength and conditioning staffs need to be looked at.
  7. I brought this up earlier in the season. Most tend to believe it's all on the players and has nothing to do with the strength and conditioning program.
  8. I wouldn't be opposed to that, especially now. It's bad when you feel better about your 5'7 running back lining up in the slot than your wide outs.
  9. I couldn't agree more. On top of that he is calling someone else's offense so of course he isn't going to be perfect right out of the gate. I think he will get better and perhaps Harbs will give him some liberties with the playbook going into next year. I think Buck is perfect for a lot of the stuff he likes to run. I think blending his style with Kubiaks could prove to be quite effective. We just have to get Joe some help at wide receiver.
  10. So who would we get at this point that could turn our season around in a week? I think it'd be a better idea to wait and see what happens at the end of the season and see what coaches become available. Our options are just way better after the season. Between HC's getting fired and college DC's looking to make the jump to the big leagues.
  11. I don't think they fire him until after the season. I like Brooks, but I'm not sold on him being a DC. I think they wait and cut him after the season and see what becomes available. The only reason cutting Cam made sense was because Caldwell was already a proven offensive play caller.
  12. Right now he is trying to get his name in the mix for a coaching gig at the U.
  13. Harbs is safe and Trestman is safe so long as the offense stays ranked in to upper half in the league. Pees probably gets fired after the season. Being one of the worst teams in the passing game two years in a row in a passing league they have to make some big changes back there. Fire Pees Fire Hewitt Fire Weiss Cut what DB's we can without hurting the cap too badly clear as much space to allow us to be aggressive going after quality secondary additions.
  14. Urschel play Ross Fumble Webb PI 3 huge plays refs screwed us
  15. I think he would be much more comfortable calling the plays.
  16. Allen needs more snaps
  17. I'm not going to completely disagree with you because you do have some points, but I think you're being a little hasty on your judgement. He has looked pretty solid to me as a rookie and such a young kid. Not every player has to fit the mold. I personally wasn't a fan of trading up at the time either and personally had guys I wanted more, but we can say that about any draft for any team. Maxx is going to be a good player and was a good pick. I had others I would've liked more, but I'm happy with it. Let's just wait until next year this time to continue this discussion because I see him having a big year 2 and if I'm wrong then well you can call me out.
  18. 1. Maxx carries quite a bit of baby fat that I will say. I have read your previous posts and while I agree he needs to lose fat and gain muscle I think that is something that will come with him growing up. He's 21 years old and not everyone has started to peak physically at that age. Everyone is different. Jeremy Shockey in his younger years was a bit soft like Maxx, but as he matured he became I ripped monster. Maxx has a baby face, he clearly hasn't began peaking physically yet and I think you fail to realize this. Everybody's bodies are different. To compare him to a freak like Gronk is just unrealistic. 2. If you are underwhelmed with Maxx's "mediocre" numbers here are some other tight ends with mediocre numbers when they were rookies... Jason Witten(21) 35 rec 347 yards Todd Heap(21) 16 rec 206 yards Greg Olsen(22) 29 rec 391 yards Shannon Sharpe(22) 7 rec 99 yards Jackie Smith(23) 28 rec 445 yards Kellen Winslow(22) 25 rec 255 yards Dave Casper(23) 4 rec 26 yards Maxx is on pace for 36 rec and over 300 yards...But I guess these guys I listed above are just mediocre. None of them are hall of famers or anything.
  19. Yeah being at the Jets should have made that clear.
  20. I guess talented is the wrong word .They are very talented, but I don't know if Darby would be as good in another system with someone else coming up with the schemes. I think their secondary woes are more due to Gilmore and Darby's inexperience. Corey Graham is playing safety which I think he may end up being good once he gets accustomed. At this point with the experience of our guys and talent we have our secondary should be doing better than theirs, but they aren't. Basically I think Rex has gotten more out of them than most DC's would and I think that defense will undoubtedly be a top ten defense. So as far as my prior point, yes I am sure a guy like Rex does make a difference.
  21. I wouldn't say their DBacks have WAY more talent. They have a corner playing safety. And coming in and implementing his defense and being the 11th best defense in the NFL by week 7 is definitely impressive. They will no doubt break top ten before the year is over.
