  1. And what if Tom Brady had of gone in the first round? Sure if he ends up being the next Suggs then thats great. It really all depends on where he is on the board and while I think he's high, eight is just too early.
  2. If the Ogbah pick is trading back for some extra picks, its genius. Otherwise like others said before its a little bit of a reach.
  3. I like your Coleman pick. Not sure why he doesn't get much love around here. hes a 5'11 receiver that leads the NCAA in touch downs at the position. He definitely has a nose for the end zone and makes huge plays which is why I probably put him as my #1 receiver. However, I don't think he quite slips to the second round I have a feeling his stock will rise. So if I were to change anything id move Yannick to rd 2 and pick up sterling shepherd in the 3rd.
  4. I mean D smith is still playing at a really high level, but I do agree I would rather have jaylon smith. It really just depends on who is on the board for me.
  5. Man its crazy how falling a few spots changes everything so much. Smith and Jack are both top 10 prospects on most boards so I doubt they drop to the second and honestly they might be BPA when we are on the clock in the first. I think it will be interesting how Ozzie plays this because he's adamant about BPA and for example on some boards Jack( is higher than VH3 so if that is the case on ozzies board (hypothetically) does he still go BPA? With Mosley and D. Smith we are set, but we need a CB so I would think need has to come into play a little at some point.
  6. If this happened I would cry from being so happy
  7. Haha what? Urban has had 2 sacks and a blocked punt in limited action id say that's an impact. And I don't know what Brandon Williams you are watching. He is at his best as a clogger because he can push the whole line and his burst isn't really what you want out of a 4-3 tackle. He's doesn't compare to a suh, Atkins, Donald. Williams is a clogger. Urban is a 3-4 end. He's not a Mario Williams, Julius peppers, or a JJ Watt. He's more of a Trevor pryce or Aaron smith.
  8. Urban hasn't shown anything? He's been a huge impact ever since he's came back. Brandon Williams is a 3-4 nose tackle. He would not be nearly as effective in a 4-3 and he has been the anchor of the defense. Why take your best player and put him in a system that doesn't fit him. Carl Davis and Jernigan are really the only 4-3 defensive tackles we have. Guy, Urban, and Williams are all 3-4 guys. Also we don't have the linebackers. All of our outside backers right now would switch to ends. Then your left with a weak spot and absolutely no depth. I dont hate the idea of a switch do a 4-3, but with the personnel we have its not like we could make a smooth transition. I agree a 4-3 is better to keep up with the faster pace and would probably be more effective in this day and age, but we aren't built for it right now.
  9. I don't really see a point in the switch. Our rotation in our front 3 is the best part of our D. The problem with our defense is the secondary. Fix that issue before reshuffling the front 7 b.c if we switched to a 4-3 we would be forced to cut some good DLineman.
  10. I agree with a lot of this. I personally am a fan of Harbaughs as mentioned, but this season in my mind he has done some questionable things. He's been very inconsistent and has given Pees so many passes.
  11. Brooks has looked good enough to earn more reps. Urban has been a major impact and still not getting very many reps.
  12. I'm not among the masses that are calling for harbs to be fired. I think to be consistently successful you can't be rotating at head coach every 3-5 years. With that said harbs has really driven me crazy this season. The whole Perriman situation, the constant defending of pees. Not giving certain players any chance. Him being totally inconsistent with players. He needs to take a look at himself because he has made a lot of boneheaded decisions this year and some questionable calls.
  13. Jernigan came back out two plays later.
  14. To let Jernigan play and bench Allen is so inconsistent. I actually like harbs, but to be inconsistent like that really aggravates me.
  15. Let's be serious that's not what is going to cost us the game.
  16. So we aren't making the play offs and I think we need to go into full evaluation mode of what we have. I'm not a fan of losing for a better draft pick so that isn't what I am saying we do. I just think it is time to see what we have in some of the "projects". As for the others. We have some guys that are a little banged up and still going out and playing or trying to make come backs when at this point they should just get healthy. I could list a bunch of them we should do, I"ll just list the couple I really want to see and you guys can make additions if you like. Start 'em Brent Urban- He has looked good from the limited play I have seen. I would like to see him with a heavily increased work load to see what we can possibly get. Terrence Brooks- Safety is really a rhythm position and Brooks is never in long enough to see if he can catch that rhythm. I think it's worth seeing what we have in him because I really liked him at Florida. Sit 'em Maxx Williams- I've seen enough of Maxx this year to have faith he will be quite the player in this league. That being said I don't think he was physically ready for the leap to the NFL. I don't feel his body quite matured enough to be playing with grown men. Let him get healthy and let his body develop so that he is ready next year.
  17. Looks like we are going with this concept
  18. If this happened everyone within the Texans organization should get fire haha. He's very well could go down as the best football player ever. He's on pace to beat Reggie Whites record in sacks and rushing the passer isn't even the best thing he does.
  19. Still don't see him getting LT money. He's getting a big pay day no doubt, but when negotiating I still think they are going to be going off of other guard contracts. Hey agree to disagree. On another note holla to the 757. I'll be back in the 7 cities for the holidays for the first time in a few years. Heard a lot has changed.
  20. Where is he going to get tackle money anywhere else other than here? His agent won't be able to sell him as a left tackle anywhere other than here. Everyone else is going to be offering him guard money so his agent can say what he wants. Four games playing left tackle and having a lot of injury issues is not getting him LT any where else in the league.
  21. First of all why do you jump to conclusions? I didn't say lie to him. Second of all no one in the open market is going to give him LT money after a few games. That would be bad business to pay him tackle money when we don't have to. Hes getting a lot of money either way, so I'd like to pinch pennies where I can. Like I said he's hitting free agency as a guard in everyone in the leagues mind. If we plan on playing him at LT it should make us feel a little better about giving him top dollar guard pay.
  22. I liked KO at left tackle. Cut Monroe. Sign KO for guard money and put him at left tackle. Draft tackle in first four rounds as solid depth since KO has issues staying healthy. I'm happy
  23. Be careful. I started a topic about this and got BLASTED
  24. I agree with you that he's not necessarily a great runner. There is a certain running back I have compared him to that is year after year in the HoF running back in Roger Craig. Craig was a good runner, but not great. Like Buck he shined in the passing game. I think if we get a good #2 option I like Buck as the #1. Buck will never lead the league in rushing, but I think he could in total yards.
  25. Haha I'm not saying Bucks the future. I like him and he's got potential, but he has had a lot of no gains. However for you to tell people to wait and see for Sunday is quite cheap on your part. A riddled oline against the #1 rush defense in the NFL that held AP to 18 yards. Again I understand you skepticism, but I don't think this coming week would be fair to judge him on if he doesn't produce very much.
