  1. If we trade back for Treadwell which is the only way I would be completely ok with it as I don't see him as worthy of #6, what do you see us getting in return? That could be quite an intriguing move if we get good compensation I'm just not sure what we could get to make it worth it.
  2. Yeah that's exactly how I feel. I feel like this draft has a lot of hit or miss players and not too many guys that stick out as a sure thing.
  3. I don't know how I'd feel about Treadwell at#6. I will say he's grown on me, but I think I would like it more if we were to trade back to the 13-15 range and grab him.
  4. Yeah I'd love to hit on position of need, but with the #6 pick you need to be sure of what your are getting.
  5. Agreed and that's why of late Deforest Buckner has moved up on my list. He strikes me as a sure thing where as guys like VH3 and Ramsey while we need guys at those positions are less of a lock to me.
  6. Pretty sure that's generally the plan. Doesn't always work out as you stated, but I don't think you're coming up with a new concept.
  7. I believe Stanley and Buckner are the safest picks in our range.
  8. Honestly I just came here to bring those two guys up as very likely options. It really does strike me as a typical Ozzie pick. I think Buckner would probably be the better pick to go along with Williams and Jernigan. If we went either route that would make for a very scary front 3 and I cant say I would be disappointed. Honestly they could be among the safest picks along with Stanley.
  9. Yeah I'm not exactly sure what people are seeing to think he would slip to the second. Most big boards have him as a top ten prospect. He's a special player because he can do so much so I don't see him making it past 20. Even with Smiths injury I'm not sure if he slips to the second, but if he does that's definitely a steal.
  10. Haha yeah probably. Well Hurns and Robinson will be names soon.
  11. Ditto. I'm looking for a sure thing.
  12. Exactly. I mean I don't know how you dismiss those guys. We held Jax a top 10 passing team to 188. Maybe not an all around great team, but a top 10 passing team so it's definitely an accomplishment for the defenses a far as improving.
  13. I'm not arguing any of what you're saying I hope you know. I completely agree. I'm just pointing out the one caveat of the potential Ramsey has. My doubts which are clearly similar to yours are why I'm glad I don't have to make the decision of picking or not picking him. If we pick him he could turn out to be a bust. If we don't he could be the next best safety to hit the league. I see a potential of both of those in him, but the former makes me scared to draft him.
  14. No I would not bank on that which is why I agree, but You can't say Reed wasn't undisciplined. Your assessment of him reading minds of the offense is only valid when what he did worked. Fact is he gambled(which isn't disciplined) and sometimes it worked and him being the playmaker he was made it work big. I believe Reed was one of the greatest safeties that ever played because of those gambles, but he gave up a lot of big plays making some of those gambles. So while I wouldn't bank on him being an Ed Reed. I wouldn't have banked on Ed Reed being an Ed Reed so I can gladly opt out on being a GM when it comes to scouting Ramsey because in my mind it's a home run or an absolute miss
  15. The Jags have the most consistent WR tandems in the league. Their Passing offense is absolutely no joke.
  16. I agree, but the only caveat is some of the best safeties to have played the game could be considered undisciplined. Most recently Reed and Troy.
  17. Very valid point.
  18. I really think this is the best mock I've seen yet.
  19. I don't know how Yannick has such low draft stock right now. Blows my mind he's projected as a 3rd or 4th on most boards.
  20. I like Cooper as well I would be happy with with honestly.
  21. . I mean if you go by history you can't really trust out coaching staff to develop any kind of receiver. I like Coleman and I wouldn't complain if we got him, but I would rather take Shepard in the third. The league is constantly changing. 10 years ago you wanted a guy like Calvin Johnson, but then big corners started to become a thing so now small quick receivers are where you need to go. Gotta get with the times man.
  22. Sterling Shepard is definitely my favorite as well.
  23. You can spin it any way you want. A 5'11 receiver lead college football in touchdowns. It's more than system, he makes plays.
  24. This and it was Kubiaks system. Trestman came in and was asked to adopt a system he wasn't familiar with and by my account did a very good job. I think some fail to realize Trestman should only get better as a play caller because he will have a year of experience with this system.
  25. it really depends where we fall into the first round and what round we take one. Round 1 guys Bosa is out. In the first I would be ok with ogbah at around 14 so trade back possibly and Lawson at around 20, but I don't think a trade back for Lawson would be quite worth it. Round 2 I would probably be ok with Nassib here and also Yannick as well, but I just saw on CBS sports big board he is projected to go in the 6th which I find crazy. Am I the only one?
