  1. So his highlights wouldn't show how he's throwing the football? I will take it, from you, that since his other passes that didn't make the highlight fluttered in the air like a duckling. I posted the video because all of the passes looked crisp to me. Someone stated he can't throw with velocity past 10 yards and he doesn't have feeling in his right hand fingers. Regarding Manning not leading a touchdown, I'll chalk that up to not having all of his guys and a new offense. Since, by your assessment of the above issue, that means that Manning won't score a TD all season, I'll just let the issue pass.
  2. I will post this here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EClqvhw43iI This is their 3rd preseason game. There seems to be nothing wrong with his passes and the velocity on them. Also, they are in the gun just as much as under center. I don't know where some of you come up with the stuff that you say on here. He seems to have no problem under center and dropping back.
  3. Jamarcus Russell had an amazing pedigree, also. If you can't stay on the field or haven't even played a down, I don't want to hear about what they could POSSIBLY do or continue to do. If they aren't on the field doing it, then no one here can say that the WR core is good. And look at the stars from last year, teams started the season believing that Torrey would be the number 1 WR. Smith rarely had to deal with teams 1st CB. When teams realized that Smith only ran deep routes, they switched it up. The second half of the season shows that when Smith has to go up against teams number 1's, he can be held in check. Although he did have a nice game against Revis in the playoffs. He isn't a 1 WR anymore. He needs help.
  4. How can you say that the WR corp will be the best it's ever been with Perriman and Camp on the field?! Perriman hasn't even played a down of football and has practiced in the NFL one time. Camp has only played a couple games and has a handful of catches. He also looks like he will never make a whole NFL season. Also, while I like SSS, he's just another year older and his decline, like what he showed in the second half of last season, will continue. You cannot expect him, at the age of 36 to lead a receiving core. You would be hard pressed to find a worse WR core than what the Ravens will be running out their against the Broncos, as it currently stands.
  5. What we are all trying to say but won't. I can't believe how abysmal our WR core has become due to injury and incompetence.
  6. Another thing, Manning went 22-35 in the preseason. That was without Sanders, Manning love to throw to his slot receivers. Those aren't TERRIBLE numbers. You guys are throwing out that Manning is uncomfortable in the offense and saying how he has gotten sacked so many times. I wouldn't label getting sacked as Manning being uncomfortable as much as I would it being a young inexperienced line.
  7. I just think it's amusing that just because Kubiak is now the coach, everyone here thinks their team will be a run heavy offense. Yeah they may run the ball a few more times. They have Manning, D. Thomas, E. Sanders and a host of capable younger WR's. They are still going to run the up tempo O and throw the ball around. Which scares the crap out of me because we all seen how our 1st D looked against the Eagles.
  8. The Ravens aren't dressing 6 WR's. That means 1-2 of them will be inactive. If they don't contribute on special teams than they will sit. I fully expect Waller to be among those in actives the first couple of games.
  9. The Ravens are going to need unproven players to step up big time to win this game. Harris Jr. will probably follow SSS all over. So we will need the running game and our 2/3 WR and TE's to win the game. If Flacco isn't on and decides to have one of his regular season games where he plays like a bottom 5 QB, this game will get ugly. On defense, if we don't get pressure on the QB, it will be a long game. Jernigan is expected to moss this game, which will not help. D Thomas will hopefully be neutralized by Jimmy. I'm not very confident in Arrington being able to stop E. Sanders. It will be nice to see where our run D stands for this game. We had some moments when we were gashed in the preseason. All in all, I don't have a good feeling about this game. As it stands now, I feel like we our worse on O than we were last year with the D about on the same level. I'm predicting Broncos 31 Ravens 21
  10. May be better for us in potentially winning the division but probably not in the long term. Probably sure up another cake walk to a top two seed in the AFC. Patriots along with the Colts, joke division, and Broncos will be fighting for the 2 and 3. Leaving the North with going on the road all post season. Side note: Brady looked terrible throughout the preseason. It may actually hurt the Patriots. Brady went 10/22 with 1 TD and 2 INTS, Garrapolo went 61/80 with 2 TD and 2 INTS
  11. I do not like any of our match ups against Emmanuel Sanders. Also, D. Thomas is a beast at YAC. One of those screen passes and I do not have much faith in our secondary being able to tackle him with just one guy.
  12. From day to day to over a month later. Sometimes you just need to sit back and shake your head.
  13. Guys have to remember that WR's 5-7, or even 4-7 because the Ravens typically only go 3 WR at one time, those last guys need to play special teams and excel at it. That's why I wouldn't be surprised to see Waller come down with the flu/hamstring soon and be placed on the I.R. I just don't see him contributing much on special teams.
  14. There is no chance that Perriman will be contributing week 1. Hopefully they can get the ground game going because the passing game will be blahhhh
  15. Any offensive coordinator worth anything would notice him on the field and just call a screen that would kill that D call. Also, even with all of his athleticism, he seems to constantly get embarrassed/looks like he has no clue in pass coverage. He has all the athleticism in the world but it just doesn't seem like he is an intelligent/instinctual football player. Picture Brown up against a great RB receiving threat like a Sproles or L. Bell. Hell, Mosley has big problems guarding L. Bell and I'm not even going to think about Brown being anywhere near the level of Mosley. Like someone stated above me, put the best players on the field and stop trying to force people in just because they have insane workout numbers or were drafted high. Brown shouldn't be on the field in meaningful games.
  16. There's not a chance that Urban is less than 6 weeks away.
  17. Yeah, but he was suspended 3 times in his first 3 years. For weed and for PED's. One slip up and he's gone. Obviously I'm hoping it doesn't happen. Just saying, get these guys back around their child hood friends with the kind of cash they have, usually doesn't end well.
  18. Obviously good news as long as he continues playing well. Flip side, have to wonder what he will do with all this new found money. Guy just doesn't seem to have his head on straight.
  19. Lol out in droves?! They showed the protestors yesterday on ESPN. There was a grand total of 4 females protesting, at their practice.
  20. I'm not sure what fans you are talking to because they may be delusional. It has been stated in multiple reports that he wanted out of Philly because they never gave him a chance to play outside. So if he never did, how can you possibly, or anyone for that matter, say that he played horrible outside? And PFF may not be the be all statistical company, but they have been doing their job long enough. Forgive me, but I'll listen to them more than you and "the people you talked to".Also, in an earlier post you stated Arrington was the better player. I stated that Boykin was a top 10 CB rated by PFF and Arrington was near the bottom. We can nitpick all we want about how they keep and rank their statistics, but let's get real, their numbers aren't that wrong for that much of a discrepancy. There's no harm in saying that the Steelers made a good move.
  21. If the Ravens would have blown out the Eagles and looked amazing, all the sudden we are going 19-0 and winning the Super Bowl. But since we got our butts kicked, and it's the preseason, it doesn't matter and we weren't trying. Some people on here just make me laugh.
  22. Camp, Perriman, Webb, Melvin, Osemele, Means, Hurst etc. all not practicing. Monroe also.
  23. So you would want to put Camp at punt returner when one gust of wind could make him pull his hamstring? Then they would be down their only receiver that seems like he can actually get open. They may not keep Asa as their return man, but I think they are smart enough to know it can't be Camp. May be they have someone else in mind.
  24. I think it will be opposite of what you said. I believe they will keep Asa on for depth at CB and to be the primary returner. It would be foolish to have Camp be the primary returner. Especially since every time he does something he seems to get hurt. The Ravens will probably keep him solely to contribute on offense.
  25. Boykin was rated one of the best CB's last year. Arrington was not. Sorry, but Boykin is much better than Arrington. This is according to PFF. They had him rated as a top 10 CB I believe. Arrington was the third worst at giving up fantasy points (I know it's fantasy points but to give those up you are giving up passes left and right)Also, Boykin is cheaper right now than Arrington. Although it is the last year of Boykins rookie deal and they will have to sign him to something more substantive next year, he was a fourth round pick so they have him for a relative bargain at the moment.
