  1. The 49ers O had their way with the Vikings Monday night. The Vikings have an above average D. Sometimes what you do well as an O is the same thing the team your playing is good at stopping.
  2. Man, Shaziers speed is unbelievable. Him and Mosley are going to be playing at a high level for many years.
  3. No one here wants to admit it or hear it for that matter, but when the Steelers get back all their weapons, they will be scary on that side of the ball.
  4. Hurst against Khalil Mack or Aldon Smith.. I'll start saying my prayers for Flacco tonight.
  5. Man, how did we lose to this team?!?!
  6. They start out in shotgun and get a nice gain. They run the ball out of shotgun and get a nice gain. It looks to me that Kubiaks system doesn't fit their personnel. Every time they go under center something bad happens. They have one of the best WR core in the game. Spread them out and at least try to get them the ball. It can't be worse than what they already are doing.
  7. Denvers offense is seriously one of the worst I have ever seen. I can't believe they totally overhauled their old offense for Kubiaks. It's terrible.
  8. So is the Chiefs offense better than ours? Already seems like they have more yards than we did.
  9. Hayden being out is a blessing in disguise for that Raiders team. He has been absolutely terrible for them. You can pick out badly managed teams when they feel the need to throw guys on the field just because of where they were drafted. Hayden shouldn't be starting on any team, let alone the Raiders.
  10. Manning left at least 2 TD's on the field, if not 3 of them. Two streaks to Sanders where he had Webb beat pretty well. Another one on a third down, one guy ran a post and Lewis followed the wrong guy and Caldwell ran a streak down the sideline and there wasn't a Raven within 20 yards of him.
  11. Like I stated before and people refuted me, our WR group is in shambles. Steve Smith is not a #1 WR and our #2 is a 4. We don't only need Perriman to get back now but we need him to play way above his head to help out this O.
  12. As someone stated earlier in the thread, and hopefully it's just a one game occurrence since we have such a small sample size, but what the hell happened to Wagner in one year? Obviously he was going up against Von Miller but he looked like a completely different player from last year.
  13. I really think you nailed the whole game on the head. I barely even noticed Lewis on the field because Manning could simply do nothing. He airmailed several passes to open receivers. He couldn't throw the ball accurately for more than 10 yards. The Ravens also had blown coverages where Manning didn't recognize the open guy for a touchdown (one or two in the first half). Obviously they have elite receivers that can get open on their own, but Manning was greatly helping our secondary in this one. I would take many QB's over what I seen from him yesterday.
  14. Doom is also now the one getting chipped by a TE. I think Dooms sack total just went down.
  15. If Doom is forced into a full time role, teams would just run right at him. If Doom is not full time and Smith and Upshaw were the ends, teams would call pass plays because while those two can effectively stop the run, our pass rush would greatly suffer. Although our linebackers would be able to cover a lot of ground, I still think it would be a lose lose on the line.
  16. Like I said in the game thread and the instant reaction thread. His injury looked exactly like you would see from a torn Achilles. He tried to get up on it and walk and realized he has no stability in his ankle. That is when you seen him stop, sit down and call for the cart.
  17. Also, I noted this in the game thread, but Suggs injury looked and he reacted as if he did something again to his Achilles. Typically, a person feels that they can walk when it happens and the ankle just flexes back and forth. Watching him stop and have them call for the cart was def. not a good sign and made me think it was his Achilles even more.
  18. To whoever I argued with before the game about how Manning looks this year, I will eat that crow now. If we had any sort of offense today, we would have won that game. Dear lord does he look like he has lost it. Not only did he throw into double coverage when a guy was wide open for a TD, but his passes were just overall bad. There's no way that Osweiler could have done worse than him, in that game. That was just ugly
  19. Hate to be the Debbie downer but the way Suggs foot being awkwardly and how he limped as if he couldn't walk, I'm unsure of what foot it was when it happened the first time, but it looked like an Achilles injury to me at least.
  20. They are missing Bryant, Bell and Pouncey. All three very good players that will be back later in the year. I'm not sure I would say 3 guys is a slew of people.Patriots are missing their starting C. They now are starting a couple rookies and career backups at both G spots and C. They don't have Blount and LaFell is on the DL. This game will basically be who can take advantage of the other deficiencies. Pittsburgh has an unproven secondary and NE has all new guys in theirs. This game comes down to who has a better connection, Brady and Gronk or Ben and Brown. Neither team has anyone who can guard the other. Rain or shine, I believe this is going to be a high scoring affair. Side note: Brady really suffers when pressure gets in his face. If the Steelers can take advantage of the Patriots having no one in the interior of their line, Brady could have a long night.
  21. Patriots starting C put on IR to return. Man is the interior of their O line ugly. Brady is going to get killed.
  22. What is going on with Melvin? He has been out awhile with a soft tissue injury. If he isn't able to play on Sunday, our CB's would be one injury away from being as bad as last year. He's our only viable back up outside CB.
  23. Jernigan out is a huge blow to our interior pass rush. Canty is not very good at it and the two backups aren't known for their pass rush skills. If Manning has room to step up in the pocket, it will be a long night.
  24. Perriman out of practice all but guaranteeing him not playing this week. Jernigan and Melvin still out is a littl disheartening. I'm going to take it as a veteran rest day for Suggs, Dumervil and D. Smith. Other than those guys, we basically new Taliaferro was not going to be available this week.
  25. I'll listen to the people who actually seem to know what they are talking about and wait and see what happens week 1.
