Safe to say that we need to nail this draft.

Seeing that Peppers is believed to go mid to late second round. Any chance he would make it to our 2nd round pick? Any interest?

Some of you guys need to remember that taking a guy with DV history isn't just a risk to the image of the organization and the potential of the player doing it again. These guys making the draft picks have a job that they would like to keep. If they back a guy like that and he ends up beating the hell out of another woman, you can bet they don't have much job security.

Just don't like using a first rounder on an ILB. Especially when you already have one very good one. I don't think you need two stud ILB's. We need a player at a postition which impacts the game more. OLB/WR/CB. I am of the mindset that these complementary positions can be filled in the later rounds. Postitions like G/C/ILB/DT. For those reasons are why I'd be upset with Foster being our pick at 16.

Steelers also got one of the luckiest breaks in terms of compensatory picks also. Somehow, they received a 3rd rounder for Beachum who I believe only played one year for the Jags.

Yikes, Id like to see Davis against some actual legit competition before I say he has the ceiling of TO. I mean he has a chance to be good. I'm not sure about one of the best WR's to ever play the game good. He's not as good as an AJ Green or Julio Jones good comin out of college.

Yep. All of these guys are just looking to get drafted. The higher the better. Prospects will say anything this week to improve their stocks. With the way Foster, Peppers and Conley are handling the week, all of these guys are seeing money signs because they just keep bumping up the big board.

Making the pro bowl is one of the most useless factors in determining if a player is good or not. Especially since fans hold the keys to a player getting in.

As an opponent of the Browns, I'd hate to see them draft Garett 1st, Hooker or Conley drop to 12th and they are smart and take one of them and then use their draft capital to get back into the back end of the first round and pick Mahomes. Id be impressed if they pulled it off. But that would also scream competent organization. So I'll believe it when I see it.

Not a chance they take Peppers after the failed drug test. I'd honestly say that it's below 5% chance that happens. Dont think they take Kizer either. Character issues and high prone to bust. I think the Bengals take Barnett, Browns Garett and Trubinsky

Martavis Bryant has been reinstated by the NFL. It would have been nice for that not to happen or for it to happen after the draft and the Steelers waste an early round pick on a WR. Too bad he is such a pot head. He has insane upside if only he could keep his head together. It's sad what has happened to him and Gordon. But the plus side to that is that they are both in our division.

He should be able to make contributions later on in the season. Obviously not right away as he has to learn a system and get back up to speed. Do you take a CB that may not contribute a whole lot at the back end of the first round? Factoring in that he may be was a top 5 pick without the injury? I would if I were a GM.

No way Sidney Jones makes it until our second round pick now. Someone in the backend of the first is going to take him. He's too good and may only miss a couple weeks of the season. Lets pray it's not the Steelers.

Gareon Conley being accused of rape. Wonder how that would impact his draft position? I'm not sure we would touch him even if he fell.

If there was any year for us to move back and get more picks, it should have been last year but this year will work also. We aren't just one player away from winning a Super Bowl. We are probably a handful of players away. It would have been nice last year to do it, but this year could work also.

One thing for sure is, with Fosters dumb decisions, it actually effects us negatively. He was for sure going ahead of us. Now scouts are saying he may not go until day 2. That's one more prospect that's going to go ahead of our pick because he's an idiot. That is unless we decide to take Foster. But I don't see that happening at all. We have way too many holes to waste that high of a pick on ILB.

Yep. I'd love to see some of these guys/girls being fans of the Eagles,Vikings, Bengals or Cardinals. Those fan bases have known nothing but not winning a Super Bowl. Unless they happen to be 60+ years old and in some not ever have winning it at all.

Some fans and people here forget how hard it is to win a Super Bowl. I understand that many just want us to have that chance and be back in the playoffs, but every other team in the league is doing the same thing we are in terms of trying to get better and the teams that made it last year are just going to reload. Cant win a Super Bowl every year. Nor do I think we will win one this year, but if we continue to build, we can have a handle in the next couple of years.

I agree that Bell is the most important player on their team. If they are running the ball well, their offense is almost impossible to stop. It will be fun to see how the young guys on the D line handle not just him but the whole season against the run. I personally think we take a step back in our run D. Also, the Steelers, should be at 100% for at least our week 4 game barring injuries. People forget that we faced a rushed back Big Ben in our first meeting last year and he was horrible against us. And in both meetings they didn't have M. Bryant or Ladarius Green. An offense of Ben, Bell, Brown, Bryant, Green, James and Rodgers/Coates/?? has the chance to be a no doubt #1 Offense in the league. Problem for them is that their injuries and suspensions seem to never although them on the field together. I believe that is why we bolstered the back end so much on our team. Because if they ever do have their full disposal of players against teams, it's going to be extremely hard to stop and thats why we have gone that route in the off season.

I'm going to go with that only one QB gets taken before we are on the clock. I believe the Browns will be the team that pulls the trigger at 12. Late 1st is when teams will be scrambling to get back into the first to get the rest of the group of QB's. I don't know if one of the teams will pull a trade with us because the teams that need the QB's aren't up again until the second round and that would take a lot of draft capital to get to our spot. I think our best trade partner may be with the Texans if they want to come up for a QB. We only lose a few spots and gain a pick or two.

Okay, that's my fault. ESPN's player profile on him is wrong. That is a pretty good size for a WR.

Everyone comments on Mike Williams size but he is only 6'1. Is that truly elite size in the NFL? I would say not at all. People will comment on boxing out guys and being able to go up for the contested catch. I like that trait so don't have any true negatives. Outside of his very good postseason against Ohio State and Alabama, did he really have an outstanding game? He plays in the ACC. They aren't a very elite conference, football wise. He played well against a Pitt and Syracuse team that are horrible on the secondary. He also did well against SC but I have no clue if they have anyone of note skill wise. I just don't really trust any WR in a hurry up, fast pace offense (I say this not knowing what Davis' offense was like in college) Stats are blown out of proportion on offenses like this because defenses play off and loose. The game is going to be vastly different for him in the NFL compared to college. Now to my honest opinion, if we are taking a WR first round, I want it to be Davis or no one. I don't see Williams having a good/great NFL career. Big bodied CB's will be able to control his boxing out technique because he is not tall to begin with. They will also be much faster than him. So separation should be a problem. Jimmy Smith in particular would man handle a guy like Williams.
