  1. Jimmy wasn't shadowing OBJ in the first half though. I'd like to see the results of how many times he actually ran a route against Jimmy to make final judgement.
  2. There are teams in our own division that are just as injured as we are.
  3. After a loss, don't you think any injury riddled team could sit around and say that if their team wasn't injured that they'd win the game?
  4. Every damn team has major injury concerns at one time or another. I'm sick of people bringing out the injuries. Yes, it may have made a difference if everyone is out there but it's the NFL. You can't count on guys playing the whole season. Hardly anyone makes it a full year anymore in today's NFL. There are a couple teams out there that are in just as worse if not even worse shape than we are injury wise.
  5. If Stanley and Yanda are both out, Flacco is going to lower his 5.Whatever YPP. He may have about 2 seconds to throw. JPP is going to kill this line.
  6. Injuries (and sadly suspensions) are becoming a part of the game and every team goes through them. You look at all the other top teams and they are going through injuries and still winning. We will see how the Ravens handle them Sunday.
  7. At the end of the day, the players need to be able to perform. We currently don't have many that can do that. West was up to the task yesterday but was not given a chance. Wallace is beginning to fade back to reality after his start. Smith is aging and probably will continue to be an injury problem. Maxx Williams, IR. Watson, IR. Perrimen and Moore, can't catch a cold let alone a football. Offensive line is terrible. We simply have too many players on offense that are just average. No real game changers outside of Smith. I understand the need to change at OC because this offense can't get worse. I wouldn't be surprised if we were in the bottom 5 at the league. But at some point, more needs to be put on these players performing. A coach can only call the plays. He can't go out there and physically make the line block, Flacco throw the ball more than 5 yards and the WR's catch the ball.
  8. 3-2 is not a bad record in the NFL. But that is looking at it face value. When you dwelve deeper, the Ravens have 11 games left. They have 3 games of "they should be able to win" in the Browns, Dolphins and Jets. Honestly, the other 8 of them, there honestly a toss up. And with the way this offense is right now, a majority of them are probably in the other teams favor, at the moment. They have the Giants, Steelers X2, Bengals X2, Cowboys, Patriots and the Eagles. So let's say they win the 3 softer games. That gets them to 6-2. Go out on a limb and say that 10 wins gets us to the playoffs. That means they have to go 4-4 in those 8 games. That isn't too tall of a task, but with the way the offense is playing, I don't see it happening. Like I said earlier, 3-2 isn't bad but when you have a murderers row to finish off the season, the Ravens FO and fans would feel a lot more comfortable 5-0/4-1.
  9. Perrimen was our first round pick last year correct. Amazing to see guys out performing him ten fold, in our own conference/division, that were taken 3-4 rounds later than him.
  10. That is def. not a catch.
  11. How many points has each team left on the field so far?? Side note, Wagner is really losing himself a lot of money because of the way he is playing this year.
  12. See will be in the high 20's in waiter order pick up. There's a very slim chance he gets to the Ravens. He actually had a solid 2014 and 2015. One bad game and he was the scape goat. He will get picked up by someone high.
  13. I don't understand why everyone is ragging on ZDS so much. Yes, he's thrown into playing time at OLB simply because we are extremely thin out there. The guy is a 4th round talent ( I believe that is when we drafted him). It's the front offices job to get better guys in here. The dude is giving it all he can if you watch the film. That's the only reason he had sacks last year is bc he has an endless motor and if a play broke down he never quit. The facts still remain that he is extremely slow off of the ball and lacks the pass rushing technique/skill to be a very good player in the league.
  14. So our two pick of Perrimen and Williams from two years ago are contributing a boat load......
  15. There are so many more aspects to pass defense than how the cornerbacks are. A great pass rush can cover up very poor CB's and vice versa. Breeland is having his struggles but he's young and coming off of a great year last year. It's only his second year and has WAY more upside than anyone we have not named Jimmy. Norman, he's still solid as hell. No one throws his way anymore. Whether it's zone or man. Steelers wanted nothing to do with him, he followed OBJ all game and held him in check. That's 2 of the top 5 WR's in the league.
  16. I'd take their TE's, CB's (Norman>>Jimmy, Breeland>>Wright) and I'd take their WR'S over ours. The last may draw an argument. Basically, I think DJax is a better deep threat than Wallace, Smith is better than Garçon. I think they hold a huge advantage at WR3. Crowder for them has been very good while we have yet to find someone who can even catch/hold onto the ball. The WR argument may change by the end of the year depending on if any of the young guys contribute.
  17. Probably looking to bring in a backup to Hurst for this weekend if Stanley can't go. If Stanley is out and Hurst or Wagner gets hurt (some around here would probably cheer if either of these guys did after last week) we'd truly be in panic mode.
  18. At some point we just have to be resigned to the fact that this teams offense is just average, with a couple drives sprinkled in of being above average. Can't go the whole season saying a team comes out slow when they have done it all season. At some point that is just how good/bad they are. I stated it in the offseason. Every year people sit around here and say how amazing our offense will be top 5/top 10. Every year our offense looks completely average compared to the other big teams. Whether it's the players/coaches or coaching philosophy, I don't know. I don't get paid millions to sit around and figure it out. But I figured someone would have in the past 10-12 years this offense has had hype and fell face first.
  19. There will probably be a little more chatter on the national front but still people saying that we haven't proven ourselves. We still haven't beaten a team with a winning record even if we do win this one. We have only played 1 team with a winning record and lost. There will be a lot of talk about the Ravens later in the season because we probably have the hardest closing schedule in the entire league. I'll be surprised if they are favored to win 1 or 2 of the last 7-8 games.
  20. Perrimen has at least 2 drops that I have seen. Regardless of what the NFL classifies as a drop, if the ball is in your hands, you should catch the ball. Perrimen seems to be soft when caching. He has the ball knocked out far too easily.
  21. I misread an article on him the past week. Upon looking again, he has this year and next for arbitration. So he should be under control until then. Will still see a massive bump in pay after this year though.
  22. If I was Britton, I'm taking the largest contact I can in the offseason and getting the hell out of Baltimore.
  23. Terrible week to be a Baltimore sports fan...
  24. Maxx has been a MASSIVE disappointment so far in his career. Expected so much more out of him than he is giving.
  25. I expressed my desire to get rid of him last year. He seems to be the type of player that will come in and play lights out one game. So the coaches are forced/coerced to keep him in the lineup. The next 3-4 games will be truly horrible, then he will throw in a shutdown game and start the process over again.
