I think it's amazing that so much ticky tacky stuff gets called in the NFL and then a blatant arm bar by Wright is not called when literally every single refs eyes are focused in on that area in the endzone. It's comical.

At this point, the Steelers are 6-5. Give them the Bengals and Browns win (they could lose to either one but for arguments sake we will give them the wins side they should win). That takes them to 8-5. They play the Giants at home this week and also a floundering Bills squad in Buffalo. They may honestly be favored in both. But we may need them to lose preferably both but def. at least one of them. If they were to lose both, and depending on what we do, we could afford to lose to them on Christmas. If they only lose one, we also can not lose more than two of our games to put us in position on Christmas.

Oh and Colts, probably help if you covered Antonio Brown. Yikes!

Looks like the Steelers offense has totally packed it in for this game. Leaving it up to the defense. They'd probably would have put up 40+ on this Colts defense, if only this Colts O could score.

If the Colts would have just taken the points, it would be a one score game.

And our vaunted offense managed one touchdown against them. Tolzein has one.

Thank god they typically never do it against us, but Big Ben to Antonio Brown is just filthy.

The Colts are one of the teams that the Steelers just own. I highly doubt the Colts would be able to hang with them even if Luck was there. Although they'd have about a 99.5% better chance at doing so.

What's the difference if both teams still lost? 2-0 and 100-99 are still the same thing at the end of the day.

What?!!! First off, Green hurt his hamstring, not his shoulder. Not sure where that even came from. Second, a hamstring is not typically a body part that can hamper a career. It's not like a knee, neck or brain injury. There would be no harm in him actually reinjuring his hamstring. Like I said he has 8 months for it to heal fully and it would. Theres also a major difference between him and Jimmy. Jimmy wasn't healthy enough to play. They said Green will probably be back. So you are saying that they will not play Green when he's healthy at the end of the year? You can try and tell a Green, when healthy, that he's still not playing. See how that works out for you. And did you really say that he shouldn't play because he could get a serious injury?! Well then the game of football would not be around in your fairy land because every single player risks serious injury every time they step on the field. I guess they all should not play and live out their lives in a bubble. Dear lord.

Try telling that to a competitive guy like AJ Green. A divisional foe, potential to ruin our season. If they aren't in the playoff race, then what's the harm of reinjury? He has 8 months to recover. If he's healthy enough to play, I'd bet a paycheck he is in there.

That is true. But if they win against the Colts, that gives us less of a chance of having the better overall record. So I'm not going to be rooting for the Steelers Thursday.

Reports are saying that Green will probably be back for the last game or two of the season. So this game is an 100% must win. We typically do not play well on the road and with Green back in their stadium, they will be looking to ruin our season week 17. The Ravens need this one.

How do the Ravens win the common games tiebreaker if the Steelers beat the Colts? The Ravens don't even play the Colts. I posted in another thread that the Steelers and Ravens have 12 common games. The Colts is not one of them.

With Luck not practicing again today, it looks like Tolzein will be getting the start Thursday. Unless by some miracle, Steelers win that game. They should also win the Bengals and Browns game. That leave the Giants, Bills and Ravens. The road to the playoffs where we could lose to them basically goes to 0% now. We 100% will have to beat them and then someone else. I'd guess the Bills since that is away. Steelers are typically very good at home against other good teams.

The cap did not catch up to the Bengals. They have almost $7 million in salary cap and in years prior had even more than that. They still have a very capable defense that has been playing well given the circumstances. Obviously the offense and their injuries are their main issue at the moment.

It's funny reading some of these posts on here. People are clamoring for Perriman to be inserted and take reps from SSS who has been our only reliable target. On top of that, just throw him in and start throwing bombs to him. Two problems with that, the line, outside of a couple games, have shown that they can't block long enough to let downfield plays to develop. Secondly, Flacco may have one of, if not the biggest arm in the NFL. Problem is, he's also one of the least accurate deep ball throwers in the league.

Luck missed practice today and I believe I remember that you need to have a padded practice and a non padded one as one of the steps of the concussion protocol. He only has two days and I'd guess the only padded practice the Colts have would be tomorrow. Could he be back in two days from a concussion as well as pass all the other stuff? I'm not sure the Colts even risk throwing their franchise QB out there for even more harm. Cant really complain about them getting a free win when the Bengals are basically the walking wounded right now.

8-8 May win it but I don't think it's possible that anyone from the AFC North gets the 3rd seed at 8-8.

Andrew Luck suffered a concussion yesterday and is in concussion protocol. Colts play Thanksgiving night.

There's only one thing that scares me, well two. But everyone here knows how much Flacco seems to struggle with the Bengals defensive scheme. But I won't touch this. Since Green and Gio will be out, I'd honestly have Jimmy play Eifert 1 on 1. The Bengals still have the personnel to attack the middle of our defense in the passing game which is probably our weakest point. Eifert looks all the way back and Boyd had a very nice game for them. If we let them roam free in the middle, we could be looking at another loss.

Doom is on his last leg with age and due to injuries. I'm really hoping some posters here aren't expecting much from him even when he does come back. I can't believe the front office let OLb become this big of an issue when they knew both were up there in age. I can understand that they couldn't have guessed that both would come down with major injuries at the same time. OLB will more than likely be the first round pick next year.

PFF actually graded Wright out to be our best DB yesterday. Speaks to the games the other 3 had that no one noticed.
