Can Cena please cut the crap that he calls "rap"? It's not even rap, there's no flow at all. All he's doing is rhyming, and he struggles at that. Like the last time he "rapped" at Rock, instead of even coming up with a word that rhymes with "back", he just used it again. It's painful to watch, and it's even more painful that people are actually cheering for it, whether or not it's his li'l kid fans.
I couldn't agree more. It's tough to watch.
I can't wait a year for Rock-Cena... that needs to happen yesterday.
Certainly a great movie. Now go watch 2! lol But save yourself the trouble and don't watch 3.
Part 2 is on tap for the weekend or sometime over my spring break... I'll end up watching 3 even though I've heard it was pretty bad in comparison... I don't like leaving Trilogies unfinished, you know?
For the first time? What took you so long?
Agree, it's a timeless classic.
Yeah, I had inexplicably never gotten around to it, but I finally decided that it was time, and it did not disappoint.
Finally saw The Godfather, and let me just say: What a movie. Top 10 all-time perhaps...
I want Jericho to win so that Hines Ward doesn't.
Yeah, I don't care who wins so long as it isn't Hines Ward... Y2J winning would be great for wrestling.
That was a pretty bad Raw. Non-stop talking, very few, short matches. Reminded me of TNA.
We also get to look forward to more Randy Orton squash matches against the Nexus jobbers until Wrestlemania where he will wrestle a worthy opponent...who he will probably beat because Cena and Orton are supermen.
Poor Sheamus got destroyed by HHH and then further buried by a returning Evan Bourne. Glad to see Evan back though, he's a hell of an athlete. I personally hope they use him to spice the tag division up, I was into the Bourne/Henry team for the short while it lasted before he got injured.
Also, Alex Riley main eventing Raw? Really? Really? So Morrison/Miz can't main event a bake sale but Alex Riley gets to main event WWE's flagship program. Nice. Speaking of Morrison, nowhere to be seen this week. Doubt he'll get a program for Wrestlemania, hope he'll at least get to wrestle a few matches before they put him in MITB.
So, Alex Riley beat Cena? RAW went past 11:05, which is when my DVR stopped recording so I missed the end of the match... also, do you guys think a Rock-Cena pre-WM match is in the works for sometime over the next couple of weeks... loved seeing HHH deliver another Pedigree through the announcer's table.
I can't wait to see Battle: LA...
Trailer:
I need to watch that again. I was kind of lost the first time around, but it seemed like a good movie.
Very good movie; definitely worth a re-watch.
I saw "I Am Number Four" this past Sunday morning ($5 at AMC for shows before Noon)... anyway, it was actually pretty good and worth seeing in theaters if you can.
The problem I see with the Cena/Miz angle is there is no overwhelming adversity for Cena, no odds to overcome. Miz can't match up with Cena in any area.
I've never seen a wrestler able to overcome so much punishment before though, so I'd give a slight edge to The Miz.
So apparently The 2.21.11 Promo did what WWE wanted, and that was to get ratings. Raw scored a HUGE 3.9 Rating with 5,860,000 viewers.

I didn't know about the promo, but wanted to see if The Rock was going to show and what Cena, The Miz, Lawler, etc. were going to do after the Elimination Chamber. My dad even sat and watched RAW with me for about an hour, and that's never happened. In fact, that was the first time I had watched RAW all the way through since The Rock left.
I knew The Rock wasn't going to show up last night, but in the back of my mind I was waiting to hear his theme after Cena talked all that trash... back in the day, The Rock would have come out and kicked Cena's butt. Oh well...
Cena can't touch The Rock when it comes to mic skills. Calling out The Rock is never a good idea.
Thanks, all
Can someone please post the results? I would be much obliged. Thanks!
Not to sound like a snob but the original The Crazies was better and the book for The Road was better.
/snobbery
I wouldn't say that's snobbish so much as it's "showing your age"
I'll have to check out the original.
Has anyone watched "The Crazies"? If so, was it any good?
Great movie. I definitely recommend it.
If there wasn't a single wrestler in that locker room who didn't take notes from that promo and plan on using it to improve their own mic skills, then all hope is lost for that company. If even we, the average fan, can dissect what was done well in that promo, then an actual wrestler should be able to come up with a treasure trove of tips from it.
I'm holding out hope that someone will have the light bulb turned on in their head and finally get "it" just like Rock did almost overnight when he first turned heel and started cutting vastly better promos than he did as a face (not that those were hard to top).
Totally agree... looking back, when The Rock left I lost my interest in the WWE for the simple reason that (1) The storylines started to get mundane and (2) the wrestlers just couldn't hold The Rock's jock strap when it came to showmanship and mic skills.
I just watched the video of Rock's return yet again, and I can't lie, I actually shed some tears this time after everything sank in. Looking at the faces of the adults in the crowd and looking carefully at Rock's body language, it was like everyone was transported back in time.
Rock was in such awe from the reaction he got and he seemed genuinely moved that people remembered him and were happy to see him. I'm convinced now that Rock's biggest concern (and the primary reason why he's been reluctant to return) was the potentially disappointing reception he'd receive since he's already left and come back in the past. It took 7 years away from the ring for people to really appreciate how special he was.
Again, I'd be happy enough if this ended up being the last time we'd see The Rock in a WWE ring. When he took off his glasses and spoke as himself, I could tell it was genuine; he's a decent actor, but he's not that good to have spoken with that much conviction without truly meaning it.
If you watch closely, there were a couple of kids actually booing/giving him thumbs down... can't remember when exactly, but it may have been when he was calling out Cena.
When he said that, he probably means he won't take so long between movies to make another appearance. I doubt he'll be back to traveling with WWE regularly, and I doubt he's under a traditional contract. It's probably a pay-per-appearance type deal.
Well, either way, it's an improvement over the past 7 years ![]()
oh really its peter jackson hey? thats cool ill check it for sure
Yeah... he had to have emergency surgery a few weeks ago which has caused a delay in filming, obviously.
I haven't paid attention to wrestling for around 6 years now but I had to post after seeing The Rock's return on Youtube just now. The crowd's reaction when his theme hit the speakers was electric. Watching him emerge from the ready room and bask in the crowd's applause really took me back.
Wrestling was the never the same for me when The Rock left. There were a few wrestlers I followed and enjoyed seeing perform and as a whole, it held my interest for a year or two more. But compared to the sheer entertainment The Rock brought, whether it be cutting a promo or in the squared circle, it simply didn't measure up.
Wrestling will never be what it used to be in my eyes but at least with The Rock's return, however brief it ends up being, I can be taken back to a time when it was genuinely fun.
The Rock made a proclamation that The Rock is never EVER leaving again. I'll take The Rock at his word.
I can't wait to see him do a "Rock Bottom" and "The People's Elbow" again ![]()

I was just talking with my friend about that the other day... very interesting indeed.
