I'll be DVRing RAW and Tough Enough... should be good stuff

Having slept on it, I still stand by my 6.75 out of 10 rating. I still don't regret ordering the event. The biggest saving grace was, by putting over Rhodes and Miz, the youth movement is still in effect.

While burying the tag champs and IC champ in such a short match wasn't prudent, it's not as if the tag titles had much credibility going into the event. Furthermore, it seems as if The Corre had their push slowed down lately as a means of having them prove that they deserve their spot. After all, the original Nexus angle pretty much catapulted an entire group of green wrestlers into the main event tier with one singular moment.

Miz has now held the belt for a little over 5 months. As a first-time champion and a young champ at that, I have to give credit to the creative staff for not wavering from their faith in him. He's done all that they've asked of him in drawing heat and getting himself over. While I questioned some of the booking, I understand the logic now in establishing his credibility. By breaking him down and building him back up, that has positive effects for his long-term viability in the main event tier.

Part of me thought The Rock was going to change the match to a Triple Threat match, inserting himself into the fray for the WWE Title, but the more rational part of me realized he can't be WWE Champ given his very limited schedule on RAW, but it sure would have been a twist!

Anyone else surprised HBK didn't interfere somehow in the Taker-HHH match?

Yeah like I said I watched WM at Buffalo Wild Wings, and I have to admit I was hoping for someone to hit a button like in the commercials and that whatever it was hit Cena lol. Anyway, it was pretty much casual, only a few people had Wrestling shirts on, I mostly saw Cena shirts, 1 guy did have a Miz shirt on and 2 girls who had Cena shirts on were upset that Cena lost lol, I wanted to say something but I chose not to.

I recommend going to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the PPVs, it's Free and very fun and exciting. The one I went to does it for every PPV as they had a schedule for all the PPVs in 2011.

I go to B-Dubs for UFC PPV events... next time I'll check if they show WWE PPV events as well.

Being this was my first PPV and WrestleMania, I thought it pretty good, maybe a 7/10... some of the in-between segments were lame, but as always, The Rock and Stone Cold stole the show.

The Cole-Lawler "match" was completely embarrassing and better suited for RAW, if at all... as Charles Barkley would say, that was "turrible." Cole will be even more obnoxious than before... yay.

The crowd seemed totally out of it during the Main Event which totally deflated the match... until The Rock showed up of course. I think they were still caught off-guard by Cena's introduction.

Taker-HHH was totally predictable, but amazingly well executed... had me and my buddies on the edges of our seats! Best match of the night by far.

Orton-Punk was also a well-executed match and ended with a bang.

Trish Stratus is absolutely stunning.... so are those Bella Twins (only redeeming thing from that absurd Snoop Dogg segment)

The Edge-Del Rio match was also pretty good... I cringed as Edge destroyed that Rolls Royce

I don't think we're in for a HHH winning swerve. Perhaps more likely HBK prevents HHH from winning because he doesn't want his best friend doing what he couldn't.

That's so predictable though... I wish WWE would do something relatively unexpected and let Taker and HHH have a clean, interference-free battle with HHH reigning supreme and ending "The Streak." That would make for great TV.

A little over an hour and a half!! Ahhhhhhhh! Can you smell what The Rock is cooking up for WrestleMania XXVII?!?!?!!

Anyone see Sucker Punch yet?

Yes, I'd give it an 8 or 9 out of 10 for graphics, but the plot just wasn't there. Semi-entertaining movie, and not really memorable.

According to Metallica's official Twitter feed, Triple H will be using one of their songs as his entrance music at WrestleMania! I'm hopeful that it'll either be a classic song, or they'll be on hand to perform a live rendition of Motorhead's "The Game"

I hope HHH doesn't change up his entrance music.

They were discussing it on 105.7 The Fan the other day... I'd bet on Miz to retain.

I think it's hilarious that there are actual betting lines in Vegas for the WrestleMania matches.

According to Moviefone, a Batman reboot is planned after The Dark Knight Rises is released in 2012. Christopher Nolan is slated to stay on with his wife as producers of the reboot, and the franchise is slated to go off in a different direction. There is a good chance that this new vision of Batman won't be another origin story, and that he'll fit in with the proposed Justice League film that could possibly be released as early as 2013. I agree, Batman Beyond was amazing and would be great live-action.

Austin Vs Punk would be too much for me. My top two favorite wrestlers of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Punk's right about one thing though, Straight Edge > Beer. That said I wouldn't mind seeing him eat a Stunner, anything to get Stone Cold back in the ring.

I'll make my WrestleMania predictions later, but they seem pretty consistent with yours.

It looks as if we have the potential for a double-turn at WrestleMania. The fans in Hot-lanta are turning on Cena right now and chanting "AWESOME" during the 'Mania press conference as Cena is at the podium. Looks as if The Rock may have done more than just turn Chicago against Cena!

I love The Miz as a heel, but if the fans dictate that he needs to be a face or tweener and Miz retains at 'Mania, then I'd be fine with a shift in direction -- especially if that also means Cena following through with a much-needed heel turn.

If Miz doesn't retain at WM, I'll be very disappointed with the WWE... he's quickly become one of the most popular Champions and really is "must-see"

Ok let me ask you guys, what is your personal opinion about The Streak? I have seen other people say that it should never be broken and that Taker should reach 20-0, and that they would be mad if Taker ever loss. For me, I honestly don't think Mark Calloway cares about The Streak, and I think Shawn should have broke the streak last year(if he wasn't serious about retirement) and I wouldn't mind HHH breaking the Streak on Sunday.

So what you think, should it ever be broken, should it be broken by HHH on Sunday or should they have Taker reach 20-0 next year?

If the streak wasn't scripted, then I'd be more inclined to say I want the streak to remain in tact, but since it IS scripted, I don't really care either way. I just want a good, entertaining match.

Trish is similar to Morrison, in that they both sound like nails across a chalkboard. Ziggler is legit though, hated him at first but he's growing on me.

I don't care what she sounds like, she's smokin' hot.

That crowd was awesome, and not just because of their reactions to CM Punk and John Cena. They were into every match, even the dud that was Lawler vs. Swagger. They made the Santino vs. Gabriel match look better than the serviceable filler that it was.

Chicago will always have a special place in my heart after the way they embraced The Rock and booed the hell out of John Cena. Their reaction to Rock's entrance and The People's Elbow was almost as goosebump-inducing as his return.

It's because of the RAW GM's edict that Lawler cannot touch Cole or he'll be fired. Cole says it's for his own protection, etc.

Sounds like WWE edited the audio of Cena's Attitude Adjustment on Rock, as there are audibly wayyyyy more cheers in the WWE.com version than the broadcast version. Guess they don't want people getting any ideas about booing their poster child too early. (WWE.com)

I heard booing and cheers. It was a mixed bag and hard to really tell where the crowd stood.

That People's Elbow was epic! So glad to see The Rock back in the ring although I wish he could have gotten off a Rock Bottom... guess we'll see that at WM
