Kelvin is a good prospect..but comon..andre Johnson is in that rare class.
I think we work a lot of 2 tight end sets. My guess is we get a physical big blocker ala CJ in the draft to go along with pitta. We lost a lot of blocking upfield with the departure of boldin. We are a smashmouth team. Expect us to be bigger in every aspect.
That's why I said "Andre Johnson-type" - referring to his size/speed/hands combo. I am in no way comparing the two. There is no comparison. Just pointing out physical similarities.
I think with Kubiak in the fold he's going to want an Andre Johnson-type WR, and I think that Kelvin Benjamin could very well be that guy! I'm getting really excited.
LOL I, Frankenstein is sitting at 4% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The trailer looked awful, and I guess it held true!
I though Jackman was eh. All of his lines sort of escalated into yelling. I couldn't really differentiate between Hugh Jackman and the character. Now I thought Jake Gyllenhaal was incredible. He really created the character from the button up shirt to the compulsive blinking.
It was nice to see the great Roger Deakins get another Oscar nomination for Cinematography. Nominated 11 times without a win. It will be tough against Gravity & The Grandmaster but I wouldn't bet against Deakins.
Fair enough, and I agree re: Gyllenhaal... he was great.
I wonder when Joe and the other offensive players are going to start diving in to the new playbook, etc. I know the new CBA handcuffs the team to some extent, but I'm pretty sure the players can do whatever they want if it's voluntary...
Harbaugh said both Vonta Leach and Jacoby Jones recommended the hiring of Gary Kubiak.
^ This should put some speculation to rest...
I'm just glad we got an OL coach to be our QB coach. It makes a ton of sense. I bet Joe will be blocking like a champ!
He's also a former Offensive Coordinator. He'll be fine as QB coach.
Does this mean Joe won't be able to audible?

Flacco > Schaub... I think Joe will have plenty of freedom.
Staff changes have already begun:

Ravens won't be retaining tight ends coach coach Wade Harman, according to a source
We are going to need a new TE coach!
I think Jacoby returning (or not) will come down to... you guessed it, money.
So, why do we need Dennison for? An OL coach as a QB coach? As a RB coach he could work, but taking care of the QB seems like a stretch to me.
Let's just wait and see how everything shakes out.

The times, they are a-changin'
Rick Dennison also has a great resume and will be a welcomed addition to the Ravens' staff. #Excited
Dennison as the QB coach makes no sense, he's an OL coach. We need a QB guru like Caldwell was for Joe, not just another body.
I wouldn't be too concerned. Everything I've heard about Kubiak is that he's very involved with the QBs.
Also gotta love Kubiak's championship pedigree... I head he has 3 rings and has been to 6 SBs in some capacity (player/coach).
To tell you the truth, I'm not to concerned about Kubiaks playcalling. Kubiaks system is similar to Shanahan's, Only difference is, Kubiak doesn't run the Pistol Formatiom as much. But Kubiak like to mix in the no huddle a few times a game, unlike Shanahan, who rarely run no huddle...

Kubiak system still attack defenses from deep to short, to start games like Shanahan. The thing with Kubiak is once he get a 2 score lead, instead of keeping his foot on the pedal for the entire game like Kyle does, Kubiak will switch it up and attack defense from short to deep, while running the ball more, trying to control the clock. He gets real conservative with his play calling (run, run, pass) at times.
But since we are going to run more short passes and actually play to our guys strengths now, we should start converting more 3rd downs. Kubiak still brings a good playbook with him and he also call plays to set up other plays, especially off of play action, and we all know Joe is arguably the best play action QB in the NFL, so hopefully that would off set his Cam Cameronish type playcalling at times, at least that's what I hope.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens use the short passing game as an extension of the run game like the Pats and Broncos do. Their offenses are pretty good every year...
Wilson just tweeted that the Ravens are hiring Gary Kubiak!! Presser at 3!!

Ravens hiring Gary Kubiak as offensive coordinator; Rick Dennison expected to join staff, unclear if other staff announcements will be made
Perhaps, but if Kubiak gets a head coaching job, who's to say he wouldn't want Shanahan on his staff?
True... I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there!
Wasn't Shanahan Kubiak's OC in Houston for a couple of years? His addition to the staff makes perfect sense to me, and should Kubiak get a look at HC next year, Shanahan can be the heir-apparent, no?
I've never been a huge WWE fan, but even I was disappointed with last night's Royal Rumble, and the fans in Pitt had every right to boo them out of the stadium... badly done, WWE, badly done. No way Batista should've won, and no way Bryan should've been left out of the Rumble. It just doesn't make sense.
I'd take Shanahan as QB Coach and Dennison as the new OL coach... adios, Castillo!
Watched Manhunter starring William Petersen (on the Sundance channel). Really good movie all around and it was really weird seeing all of these star actors so young!
KD35 has to be the MVP at this point of the season, right? What a phenomenal player.
Has anyone maybe considered Mike Munchak?
Saw reports on Twitter that he may be going to Pitt as OL Coach...

Just read an article that CM Punk is taking an indefinite leave of absence from WWE and that his WM appearance is in jeopardy if not all but canceled... never thought I'd see Punk leave.
