  1. The fact Daryl Smith hasn't signed anywhere else yet is good news... I think he'll be back with the Ravens at a good price.
  2. The Ravens are linked to EVERYONE... will be very interesting to see what Ozzie and Co. do.
  3. Steve Smith and Owen Daniels would be a great haul... add Monroe and possibly Kyle Cook as well and we are all set come draft time.
  4. With Owen Daniels being cut from the Texans, I'd love to see him replace Dickson and pair up with Pitta... at the right price, of course.
  5. Why not give him a chance to prove himself during OTAs and the preseason? He's only 25 and was a highly regarded prospect coming out of Alabama... and we all know how Ozzie feels about Alabama players
  6. Based on reports I've been reading, and what's already been posted in here, it seems like it's more and more likely that we retain Monroe. I hope that's the case, because I really want a top WR in Round 1 of the draft
  7. Just found out that I'm going to Opening Day v. the Red Sox!! Can't wait!!
  8. While I'll never begrudge a player for trying to get as much as possible, especially given the non-guaranteed nature of NFL contracts, but what can't you do with $35M that you can with $45M, just as an example? Either way, your entire family can be set up nicely for generations.
  9. Monroe isn't a $10M/year LT... he's closer to $7M-8.5M/year. The Ravens can't invest so much in one position (outside of QB) at the expense of our other dire needs (granted, O-line is a certainly dire need). Will be interesting, but I trust Ozzie and Pat will do what's best for the Ravens, as they've always done.
  10. LOL... sure seems like it!
  11. I'd sign him to a 5-year/$45M deal with around $20M guaranteed. That would be cap-friendly and be a significant, fair raise for Monroe... hope we retain him so we won't have to go OT in the first round.
  12. I couldn't believe Bryan didn't win the Elimination Chamber... and apparently most of the crowd was stunned as well. Why do they continue to let Bryan get so close only to have him fail again?
  13. Imagine, if you will... Pitta, Torrey AND Ebron/Mike Evans on the field at the same time. *Drools*
  14. Just started watching House of Cards... on Season 1, Episode 5 I think. So far, I really like it.
  15. I'm also mixed, but B-Rob admitted to being a PED user and he remained a beloved Oriole... if he hits well and helps this team win, all is forgotten/forgiven. He paid up his debt, and has a chance to redeem himself.
  16. YES! So excited!!
  17. Aaron Wilson just tweeted that with the Suggs savings and increased cap, the Ravens will have approximately $20M in Cap Space... that's awesome!
  18. I've already seen UbaldOmore shirts online lol... I think people need to lower their expectations of this guy. He's definitely an upgrade, but he's no Cy Young candidate anymore, but maybe Wallace can bring him back to that form?
  19. While I respect Biggie, in this case, Mo' money = less problems.
  20. Pitta is a fine player, but given his age and injury history, I don't see him commanding huge dollars. Interesting note: Suggs has been in the league almost 3x as long as Pitta, but is only 3 years older...
  21. Props to the O's for the Jimenez deal... I really hope it pans out and that he picks up where he left off after the second half last season.
  22. Looks like the O's aren't going to get Burnett after all of this (per @masnroch and others)... apparently we're still "in" on Arroyo, Jiminez, and Yoon. I'll believe it when I see it.
  23. Sometimes I wish athletes would really control their agents who work FOR them... Jered Weaver told Boras to get a deal done before he hit FA, and he did it and everyone was happy. I wish Wieters/Davis would do the same.
  24. Just started watching Damages (featuring Glenn Close) on Netflix. GREAT show. Close is phenomenal.
  25. It's unfortunate to hear of Philip Seymour Hoffman's death. I really enjoyed his work. The perils of drug abuse rears its ugly head once again.
