It's my opinion, Butler and Moore have outplayed Campanaro all preseason.
Campano just lost a roster spot with the Lions game.
A trade for a CB/PR is likely to happen thus removing the need for Campy on the roster.
Well if it is any consolation.
Jeremy Butler has made the Team while often injured Campanaro has done nothing to merit a roster spot.
At least we might have a healthy guy in the #6 receiver spot.
On the TE front:
I actually liked the Watson signing, but now, oye-vey!
We only have 2 TE to start the season Gilmore and MAxx Williams, I have little faith in Pitta at this point, any catch is a bonus in my opinion.
Boyle has flashed but a 10 game suspension is only one more PED test from season long.
Waller has potential to be a good receiving TE though also has PED issues.....Is anyone else seeing a trend with Ravens and PED's (ASA Jackson was one for them in the past).
8-8
Split with Pitt, Cleveland and Bengals to end up 3-3 in Division.
Loses to Oakland and Jacksonville early set the tone for the season.
Not a single Rookie is a starter Day 1 ![]()
Wallace is number 1 receiver for Ravens in Receiving yards and catches
Arthur Brown has breakout Season as ILB, gets HUGE contract from Cleveland

I'd rather have another player at any other position as long as that player is decent enough, even as a backup/ST, and doesn't have an injury history like Camp's. Only reason to keep him is if there is an open spot which I doubt there will be. At least I hope we've improved our depth that there won't be an open spot. Shame, because I actually like Camp, a lot. Wish he could stay healthy.
Totally agree with this sentiment. Campanaro has been unavailable far too much. He is really an example of the inability of this team to develop WR's.
A calf injury to miss all of OTA's & Minicamp is already starting on the wrong foot.
One might argue he has already had another injury and is just a camp body now....
Uhh just to be clear Eisenberg with all do respect, but Harbaugh has lied about such things as Monroe's cut before. I truly believe that the Marijuana advocacy was on the minds of the team. It was not the only reason but it was absolutely the straw-that-broke-the-Tackles-back.
This was the right move. He has not earned that starting salary here.
add in the Marijuana advocacy and I think he is likely to end up with a suspension this year if not injured. the suspension will be for Banned substances.

I'm not convinced this is the issue. The O-S disease is in Adolescents. Perriman is far from adolescence. He is well past those issues, and shouldn't have any effects during college. The PAtellar tendon is affected in this case, he has had a PLC and ACL now.
So there has to be something else. If he had pain in college before being drafted, there is a more serious issue than O-S....

This gives Wallace, a proven veteran more snaps and with Aiken, smith and Moore and
Campanarowe have tremendous versatility.
Fixed it for ya.
4 hours ago, Purple_City39 said:Never understood how people blame the GM for injuries. As stated, Perriman had no injury history in college. He gets two unrelated knee injuries, to different knees, that aren't even factored into the genetic condition he and his dad had (aka freak injuries) and you want to blame Ozzie?
What Genetic condition?
For Pete's sake not again!
What is it with the Ravens and WR's?
We let the best one we ever drafted walk for little more than we were offering after his rookie contract. And the other that the Ravens Draft are injury prone.
So frustrating.
Considering Marlon Brown has been more productive than Campanaro, what does this say about Camp and the usual camp injury......
"3) OT James Hurst
New arrivals: Ronnie Stanley (first round) and Alex Lewis (fourth round)
Zrebiec: “A starter of 13 games over the past two seasons, Hurst is better suited as a swing tackle or reserve guard. However, he’ll have plenty of competition for that role.” "
Likely will be cut, after all he is directly responsible for the Flacco Injury....
I don't want to be a downer, but I'm getting tired of the barrage of Keenan Reynolds articles.
Agreement here. The guy has a low chance to be on the opening day roster and is likely to end up on IR (where all drafted Raven WR's end up season 1)..
8 hours ago, rmw10 said:The 4th round guys are in no real danger. As I've said before, no team is using a 4th round pick on a guy they don't anticipate making the team. The only ways they aren't on the roster is if they get arrested, injured, or just flat out suck. Lewis and Henry both have pretty much guaranteed chances because they're young players that would squeeze out someone else before they're gone.
I couldn't disagree more. The 4th round has an ~20-25% success rate of becoming a starter. After drafting 5 players only 1 is likely to become a starter.
As I said in another Thread I would have traded 2 of the 4th rounders to re-enter the 3rd round and draft a higher potential player.

What most fans remember last season is a secondary that was torched early and often and allowed one huge play after another. Due to numerous injuries and players coming back from injuries the secondary was not healthy and lacked talent early on. What fans may not remember is that when the Ravens added Shareece Wright to the mix and started to slot Lardarius Webb in various alignments the pass defense actually was locked down fairly tight. Fans were dreaming of scenarios where Jalen Ramsey would fall to us at our sixth pick. We learned that Ozzie Newsome actually tried to trade up will Dallas to get their number four pick in and effort to get Ramsey. Ozzie claims that the asking price was too high and the rest is now history. Many thought we would surely draft a corner early on in the second round. I think I could hear the collective gasps when the Ravens traded down not once, but twice, and then finally drafted Correa.
So did the Ravens find any help? They certainly hope so. I don't think the Ravens believe they found a starter in this draft, but by selecting Tavon Young in the fourth round they think they found a slot corner with potential to do more. With their last pick; a compensatory pick in the sixth round, they added Maurice Canaday. Young is a bit undersized but is a feisty competitor with a little bit of speed. Canaday has the size you look for and length, but is a bit slow and lacks confidence. He plays way off of receivers for fear of getting beaten deep. He'll need a lot of coaching up.
The back end of the secondary has been a miss-mash of names rotating in and out year after year. Matt Elam looks so far to be a bust and is coming back from a torn pectoral muscle. Will Hill got into trouble with substance abuse again and is no longer on the team. Kendrick Lewis didn't really show much in his first season with the team. Terrence Brooks hasn't been able to stay on the field to show his potential due to numerous injuries. What did the Ravens do?
They made one of their three big free agent splashes by signing Eric Weddle. Weddle is a proven veteran with strong leadership skills whom the Ravens hope can help settle down the rest of the secondary and keep them from giving up the big plays. Continuously searching for an Ed Reed type, rangy, center-fielder at the other safety position and not finding that guy, Ozzie Newsome is hoping that converted CB and former college safety Lardarius Webb can be the answer.
What does our inventory look like? At cornerback you have Jimmy Smith in his second season removed from a lisfranc injury that clearly affected him last season. Starting opposite him is his good friend Shareece Wright whom the Ravens rewarded handsomely with a new contract after his showing last season. Veteran corner and potential slot player Kyle Arrington looks to show more than he did last year. Will Davis returns from an injury and hopes he can earn a spot. The two rookies mentioned above; Tavon Young and Maurice Canaday, are in the mix. After that is a mix of street free agents and practice squad players that might be squeezed out of a spot. Jumal Rolle, Julian Wilson, Jermaine Whitehead, and ERFA Sheldon Price are all still in house. At safety we have newly acquired Eric Weddle, Lardarius Webb, special team ace Anthony Levine, Terrence Brooks, former first round pick Matt Elam, Kendrick Lewis, and Nick Perry.
I can see up to eight or nine roster spots being devoted to the secondary giving enough freedom to carry whichever players suit our needs the best. Who gets the call?
Roster Count: 9: Jimmy Smith, Shareece Wright, Kyle Arrington, Tavon Young, Will Davis, Eric Weddle, Lardarius Webb, Anthony Levine, Nick Perry.
Total Roster Count: 48
I seriously think Matt Elam is in danger of losing his spot and especially so if he has a bad preseason. Terrence Brooks has been too injury prone, and Kendrick Lewis didn't show much. Nick Perry I think is a wild card because he's a big body safety who might be able to fulfill that dime linebacker spot I mentioned earlier. Levine is a stand out on special teams and also is a versatile player who can play corner in a pinch.
Bold Choices I like it.

i did this with the idea of keeping all of our draftees and one UDFA.
Sorry but no way EVERY rookie makes the team.
Stanley, is most likely to play, Correa will be a player and Kaufusi should be a rotational guy. The rest have an uphill climb. WR is a crowded area and though we lack talent there, it is highly possible both rookies end up on practice squad or IR(as is usual for drafted WR rookies on this team). With a real possibility that Reynolds gets the Kick return duties when Campanaro has another camp injury and he is finally cut.
Canaday and the Two linemen (ALEX LEWIS OT/G, and WILLIE HENRY DT) have very low chances to make the team. We have a glut of OG on this team and DT is also a position of strength. The Ravens are still bringing in CB veterans.
We shall see but the law of averages says we will be lucky to get 4 starters/part timers out of the draft.
We will likely have a surprise MLB make the team either a free agent vet or UDFA.

doubt anyone would complain if we took correa in round 3 although i doubt he would make it that far.
id rather take correa over spence as well though but not over jack.
I am not a fan of Spence, and have been of the opinion the Ravens were not interested. Spence had too high a price. Yannick was projected late 3rd to 4th round. I actually like Correa over Yannick, but I would prefer Jack.
Also a cb earlier would have been nice. But who would I return for say Kendall Fuller? A couple 4th rounders?
Bottom line I am simply saying I like what the Jags did.
I'm also largely happy with the Ravens haul.

Agreed. I'll temper my emotions as I really don't know the guy
ok watching videos of Moore is looking faster than the 40 time and bigger than the stats, The catch vs. Apple in Ohio state is nice concentration and heavily contested. Good one

I see you keeping 7 WR's.....Kinda looks like you wanna keep Campanaro.
Honestly I just don't think he has done enough to warrant a roster spot.
