Going to be a lot of changes next year.
Unfortunately that means a lot more overpriced free agent acquisitions.
Time to play the rookies and pack it for the season

Zuttah has been bad for a while, thing is, Urschel has been worse

I do
Though Billick never coached again after the firing.
(that is pretty damning)
1 minute ago, A Fish Called Yanda said:Eh I don't agree. Harbs has been the best HC we've ever had. We just have really suffered at drafting and signing contracts as of late.
While don't agree Harbs is the best, I do agree the Front office has completely failed the past 3 years.
We don't seem to keep decent players past their rookie contract.

Any points would be nice at this point.
Low expectations today

We made KO a highly competitive offer, offered to make him the highest paid guard in football, in fact. Yeah, $10 mil should have been enough to keep him, but the Raiders paid him $12 mil/yr, and NOBODY saw that coming.
So what you are saying is the Ravens offered the 2nd highest price for a guard?

That means take the field goal on 4th down! and beat the stinkin poor excuse for an nfl franchise giants. that team is such crap.
Looks like Hard headed Harbaugh blew it again....
It wasn't even close the Team tried 3 times to punch it in....Kick the FG, woulda had a chance later

look guys..eventually people are going to realize that even the homers ( such as rmcjacket23) are just kidding themselves. The writing has been on the wall for a while now. taking out the kool aid juice which all homers live on its clear that the ravens situation is approaching that of the bears and cutler. It hasn't reached that level yet BUT that's the trajectory of this franchise. Joe flacco is not a good quarterback. He's an average QB whos capable of a few big moments and if you are lucky, like we were in post season 2012, he can have a streak. overall, if he were playing for the browns they still wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs. He isnt worth our long term investment. His QBR or whatever ratings you wish to bestow upon him are middle of the pack or lower. However, while i dont see us making the post season for a long long time, flacco isnt the MAIN issue..he is a big one. He's vastly overrated by the FO and homer fans who use Kyle Boller as a benchmark..but the biggest issue is John Harbaugh and the FO. They have little to 0 eye for talent and their player development is pretty awful. We have mismanaged the cap and have also placed too much emphasis on special teams, to the point where it could be backfiring on the players by putting so much pressure on simple tasks. We also have a coach who knows that our team cannot beat down the opponent and needs to scrape by and yet refuses to take points KNOWING that every game we play goes down to the last possesion.
John Harbaugh has been a losing coach since the SB season along with Joe Fluko. He's also a bit of an emotional wreck on the sideline. Whenever someone states a pretty damning but truthful question or fact he gets so passive aggressive or defensive rather than admit the cold hard truth. My question to the homers on this forum, unlike the RSF forum which doesn't sugar coat things, why does everyone here seems to think the John Harbs- Joe Flacco combination is the only hope we have?..I also think Ozzie/ Eric De costa are washed up in their abilities. Our draft picks since 2009 have been forgettable and our team isnt even talked about. We're irrelevant. You can talk about the market etc but the truth is, we are irrelevant because we don't have personalities and superstar ability to go with it.
Amen

The key to running a successful wildcat will be bringing Keenan Reynolds up from the PS. Just give Reynolds the ball out of the wildcat inside the redzone and we'll score more TDs; he led the FBS in TDs for a reason.
Umm, NO
The wildcat is crap and doesn't work in the NFL

So prophetic....
Well it looks like Joe is gonna get killed. Half of our O-line is gone. It's starting to feel like last year. At first, my confident was still good when we won the first three games and thought we would get better each week but the lost against the Skins really lost my confidence and how really bad we performed. It's not looking good this year (so far).
Skins are decent team. No reason to be so down on the Ravens for the loss.
I'm as upset as anybody for the fake punt and 2nd half 1 sec. left play...
But this is Harbaugh Football keep it close and kick a FG for the win.
2 minutes ago, Ravenseconbeast said:Key stat: Flacco threw just one deep touchdown all of last season (20+ air yards), tied for fewest in the NFL.
Ill make it easy. Throw out
Rogers, Ben, Russell, Brees, Cam, Rivers. Then lets starts.
Actually go lower than that and throw out another 5 QBs
Dak Prescott, Derek Carr, Carson Wentz, Andrew Luck, Matt Ryan
Then lets start from here....
Matthew Stafford? Trevor Siemien? Carson Palmer? Jameis Winston? Teddy Bridgewater?
Or even go even further down??....uh oh
Marcus Mariota, Sam Bradford, Cody Kessler? Eli Manning?...Alex Smith..............?
Oh no...how about even lower? Is this on par with what flacco is doing now?
Kirk Cousins, Blake Bortles, ....................Ryan...Tannenhill?....Jay....Culer...? ..Cody Kessler?
Flacco is better than Tannehill, Cutler, Kessler, Similar to Cousins, Bortles, E. Manning...
Stafford and Winston are better currently
Ryan has the Offense around him we would love to see around Flacco....I'd like to think Flacco could match Ryan with that offense.
Joe is Average Joe.
Personally I would prefer more fire during the game.I think the rest of the team lack a killer instinct as a result.
I was all aboard when Flacco had the best playoff and Superbowl run ever. But in all honesty he is not top 10 in the league, He really needs a good team around him. That just isn't present on this team. Inability to keep good players past their rookie contract is really showing at this point.

Split with Pitt, Cleveland and Bengals to end up 3-3 in Division.
Loses to Oakland and Jacksonville early set the tone for the season.
Not sure 8-8 is achievable now....I'm seriously doubting we split with Pittsburgh or Cinci now.....![]()
He Should be

West finished with 11 carries. No reason that guy shouldn't have had 25 carries in this close game.
Mosley play can't cost the game by virtue of he made a spectacular play to get the INT.
Mosely tried to make a play, because the offense is inept.
All he has to do is hold onto the ball and it is 1st and goal on the 1
1 minute ago, mc_red23 said:Harbaugh loses us another game. Well done you clown.
Yep time to call out Harbaugh he's been protected far too long.
The inability of this team to adapt to the times with the passing game too.
fake FG is really looming large now.

As much as teh team says they want to create the team from the draft, they do a terrible job of retaining the drafted perfromers past their rookie contract and tend to fill holes with Freee agent aging veterans(Weddle, Doom, Zuttah, SSS, Wallace, Spencer, Huff, Etc....)
The Oline would look great had we kept Grubbs, KO, past their rookie contracts.
Inability to draft a WR in the early rounds(specifically in 2014 when the WR class was a historic superior group) has really hamstrung the team, along with Harbaugh's inability to adjust to the high flying offensive trends.
