  1. What a poorly managed situation. Notice the Article states that he partially tore the PCL? That he further tore it in September, and Dr. Andrews confirmed it? Funny how all the discussion around that time was of no further damage and only a Bruise! Absolutely pathetic, and pointless to lie. In fact I'm now not believing this latest story.....Are you?
  2. Well written article. I have been one pounding the table for Offensive weapons for years now. This year I honestly felt the defense was going to be the better unit. However it has been a Bizaro topsy-turvy season. The Ravens offense is better than the defense, despite NOT having the playmakers I so coveted. I now see the wisdom is Ozzies defensive minded drafts (for really his whole tenure). The secondary picks have just not panned out. I still would have liked a 1-3 round WR in the 2014 draft (greatest WR draft prospect in the history of the NFL), but that is crying over spilled milk really. Bottom line the games have been close, a little more offensive weapons and we might be 4-4, no better. (Pitta's injury is really the worst thing possible as the Ravens have spent 3 draft picks the past two years to replace him.) Suggs injury is big, the defense has looked very average since his injury. Adding to the defense for that stifling defense again really does look like a good plan going forward. Great article and has given me hope for the future
  3. I don't care who is Defensive coordinator next year as long as it isn't Dean Pees. This team cannot tackle to save their life. Especially the secondary.
  4. Purple Patsies as in easily taken advantage of
  5. Agreed the Gentlemans Club is very Fitting Another good one.
  6. Funny thing is the Bears fans tried to warn us about Trestman....
  7. only down by 10 at halftime.......
  8. This is a tall order unfortunately. I felt confident going into last week the Ravens would be beating the Browns (knowing they are always close games), Now Every game is in question and will likely be close in everyone of them. For this coming game I fully expect Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin to have near career games against this defense. This I think is a good idea. Curious to see if this is the case.
  9. Get fired up to block. The Browns look vulnerable to the ground game.
  10. This Cleveland game is not a gimmie in any respect regardless who plays QB for Cleveland. Cleveland plays the Ravens tough as of late and this will be another close game. Flacco needs to protect the ball, Our depleted WR corp will have to get better at blocking because we will be running a lot! Defense will have to learn to cover WR's as Benjamin looks good.
  11. With Jeffery consider that we are only $2mil under the cap. To get him (being a bonafide top talent) would require a first rounder (min.) and extending his contract (mostly to get the return and to reduce this years salary cap impact). I would give the first rounder as he is a guaranteed #1 WR, I don't trust Ozzie to make that pick in the draft. he would probably draft a Def Tackle or Off guard with the pick. Also Jeffery with his Hammy issue is not likely to turn around the season on his own.
  12. This is obvious Sarcasm, Alshon Jeffrey is not on the trading block. I find it comical that anyone would suggest because the Bears dumped some less premier players, that they would dump one of their best players. Even if they were, he was a top draft pick, and would command multiple 1st rounders to acquire. Reggie Wayne is not an answer. The only available player I would consider is Lloyd, and possibly Meachem (though I really liked his potential as a rookie, he wasn't able to do much when he was with Brees)
  13. How Disappointing. After years of begging Ozzie to pick a WR in the 1st, he does and the guy is a total wimp.
  14. My Purple Kool-Aid just went sour....
  15. To top it off.... Perriman pulled up lame during warmups before the Bengal game.... I'm officially disappointed with Perriman and very pessimistic he contributes at all this year... I'm guessing Ozzie makes a move for a WR after this week.
  16. There is the kiss of death, an endorsement from Donald Trump.
  17. This is correct and on the mark.
  18. I mentioned this in the game thread also..... This week, really highlighted the lack of WR talent. Steve Smith was the offense today. Maybe we should start putting all these Early round drafted TE's in at WR!? (2nd, 3rd & 5th) and our injured top TE (4th rounder) I mean it really shows that the Ravens have not invested in the WR position. our Top WR is a FA Our #2 is a journeyman practice squad player Our #3 a Undrafted free agent Our #4 a 7th rounder Our #5 a 6th rounder
  19. This loss stings even more than last week. At least last week we were expected to lose then made it close. This week, really highlighted the lack of WR talent. Steve Smith was the offense today. Maybe we should start putting all these Early round drafted TE's in at WR!? (2nd, 3rd & 5th) and our injured top TE (4th rounder) I mean it really shows that the ravens have not invested in the WR position. our Top WR is a FA Our #2 is a journeyman practice squad player Our #3 a Undrafted free agent Our #4 a 7th rounder Our #5 a 6th rounder Oye-vey
  20. LOL! good point....And No I don't, I was being dramatic to make a point that I think the Made-of-glass Campanaro cannot be counted on.
  21. As soon as Ozzie makes a move for a WR/KR another WR will be cut (between Camp and Waller) Possible veteran RB/KR as an alternative.
  22. Ravens are in desperate need of a Punk/Kick returner..... Who out there could do it?
  23. In order of playing time possible: SSS, Aiken, M. Brown, Perriman, *(Trade/FA pickup)*, Waller * the traded player must be able to fill returner duties as well. Wes Welker, but not a returner, could easily replace Campanaro Not much out there for trade or FA unfortunately Cut/Trade: Campanaro - This guy is made of glass and a walking injury report, This team needs guys that will be active, Likely trade bait Butler - The IR designation his first year hurt him, Not likely to be more than he is - CUT Nelson -only chance was a kick returner, he failed - CUT D. Brown - Hoping he makes it to practice squad
  24. Interesting, Noticing the WR chart has no Darren Waller listed? That must really torque those Waller fans on the Waller welcome thread?? Also places Brown as immediate backup to SSS with Butler behind him. Behind Aiken is the two injured young ones (Perriman, Campanaro) so the top six look like this in order right now: SSS Aiken Brown Perriman Butler Campanaro (I'm very skeptical of this one but his special teams ability (returner) may be the difference. ------------------------ This is the cutoff line in my estimation**** Daniel Brown DeAndre Carter
