  1. hmmm. I suppose it depends on how confident you are in Ozzie making a bust pick in the 1st round? My opinion is at #6 Ozzie cannot be wrong. where in the 2nd round Historically Ozzie likes to take a risk and pick someone who though talented has warts. so to me do I want "bigger potential bust" (3 2nd round risk picks) or a bonafide Star? Again it is all in how you view it.
  2. didn't you just prove my point? so of those top 15 who is left? Robinson, Elliott? you LEAST favorable choices? where picking at #6 you have a choice of: Jack, Smith, Spence, Treadwell, Alexander, Ragland? based on your projections I like Ozzies choices better at #6, otherwise moving down feels like chicken.
  3. I don't want the Ravens to move down. Already 10 picks in this draft with only what one 7th rounder and a 6th or two......gonna be a good draft no matter what. And moving down form 6th will net what? Probably the least of your top favorite guys. Not worth it. This team needs Blue Chip Play makers, dropping down will not get you that.
  4. NO, NO, NO....Do not trade out of the 6 spot. Dropping down is Chicken Sh!t, leaves you with the least of your favorite guys. Are you afraid to make the #6 pick? An impact player will be there at #6, exactly what the Ravens need. Not to mention there are too many QB's going in your top 15....There will be 2 tops in the top 15 this coming draft. I have reservations about Spence being the pick with the focus of this Ravens team on character. An Ecstasy abuser is no character guy. Only trades I'm interested in seeing is getting rid of the 7th rounder (wasted pick the past few years. worth trading for a future 6th), and using the 6th rounder to move up to the 5th.
  5. I'm not a Collegiate Football watcher, but am seeing a lot of press for Sterling Shepard. Would he be available in the 3rd? Seems a great option for WR also. Really like this mock though I wonder of Bosa fits the Ravens Defense? Seems a better fit for the 4-3?
  6. I say do not move down. #6 is an impact player. If Ozzie is as good as advertised there is no need to move down. Moving down is Chicken Sh!t in my opinion and only nets you your least desirable choice in the first round. Thing to look out for is the 2nd round, Ozzie is likely to take a chance on a player that has warts but talent there....
  7. I hope you are right.... Signing KO opens up the draft a little as well in that I don't think you need to draft a Lineman in the 1st or 2nd round.....
  8. You will notice above I prefer to resign KO. I don't think the Ravens should use the franchise tag on the Kicker. Breaking the bank in this case is franchise tag a kicker. As I stated above the margin been top 5 and #20 isn't all that much.
  9. Actually I believe each team makes their own, and likely change it every year based on position, and available talent. The media always uses the old Jimmy Johnson chart from long ago. A team who really values a player will give more, and a team unwilling to pick their current pick spot will take less to move. My point is every time there is a draft day trade it doesn't really follow this chart. Ozzie often gets poor value in his trades (according to these charts that is). And often has a high number of compensatory picks (meaning he loses talent to get less value in Comp picks)
  10. I really hate this draft value chart.... The pick is only as valuable as you rate the player you would pick there vs. what you would have to get later. And Isn't this the same value chart created by Jimmy Johnson to fleece the Minnesota Vikings, and others?
  11. I don't think the Ravens should break the bank for a kicker, though his percentage was worse this year, he did attempt TEN 50+ yard FG this year. That is a lot, and a sign of the season where the Ravens had a lot of trouble moving the ball. The margin is narrow in my opinion on kickers, a good offense keeps the kicks manageable. KO should be a priority, After Losing Ben Grubbs in his 1st contract after rookie deal, we should not have to spend a high draft pick on yet another Guard! Not to mention KO could conceivably be a starting Tackle. I would rather see that high draft pick be a play maker! Keep KO and you don't have to reload the offensive line starters at the expense of playmakers.
  12. I'd be disappointed if we take a Tackle @#6.... If only we could keep a drafted player past their rookie deal, wouldn't have to waste picks to replace starters.....
  13. I see this move down sentiment often... I'm having issues understanding it. You say you would be happy drafting said person but not at #6, where #17 sounds better? In the first round does it really matter if you don't wait? I mean if you like a player draft him, why offer him up to someone else? Isn't that the line of thinking that allowed Bryant to slip past us to Dallas a few years ago? Ozzie often drops back in drafts. Seems to me that you end up picking the last of your favorite choices and often the lowest ranked one at that? Are you just moving back to take the pressure off yourself? To say "well he was the only choice available?" is a cop out. If Ozzie is that good, and he has the #6 pick. Make a decision and go with it. I'm not a fan of moving down the board.
  14. This past year was make or break. He broke.
  15. But the Pass rushers and DB's haven't played a down in the NFL either? I think the Ravens front office has done well with Linemen (offense and defense) anywhere in the draft. What this team needs is playmakers.... Constantly picking WR's round 4 and later isn't working. I'm totally against a O-Tackle in the 1st round, we never seem to keep top o-line prospects past their first contract anyway. Grubbs anyone?? Already talking like we will lose K. Osemele, someone we should keep. Constantly having to revolve the O-line isn't helping matters. Only one we have kept is Marshal Yanda (wasn't he a 3rd rounder?). A awesome Edge rusher is fine but likely gone when we pick. A CB is also a possible 1st rounder as a playmaker, but is there a Revis/Sanders out there this year?
  16. Wait Cam Cameron develops WR's? How comes he couldn't do it here? Perhaps someone else in that organization is developing the WR's?
  17. Very telling that WR is tops on the list. I would be very happy to see the Ravens land Treadwell. But there is that Cowboy team ahead of the Ravens in the draft and they always seem to have the same players on their mind.
  18. awful post. Taylor is no answer. He doesn't fit the Ravens offensive philosophy in any possible way. We totally changed the offense when he stepped on the field. We have enough trouble with the offense we have with the personnel we have, why throw in another variable that is inaccurate and interception prone? At least Mallette fits what we already do. Scrambling QB's get hurt once they get significant playing time, they do not work in the NFL.
  19. Sadly too late for 2015... Glad to hear switching back to grass, the stats on the Ligament sprains really stands out considering Perrimans' odyssey this year. Wonder if the concussions, broken arm, Achilles tear, etc....was the nail in the coffin.
  20. only ugly for me was that terrible PI call early in the game!
  21. Nothing but the game. Harbaugh goes for it a lot early in games but when you lose by less than 3 it is a game changer. Stopping at the goal line and comming away with zero is a big deal in the NFL. I was preferring a FG personally.
  22. Maybe getting inside of 50 yards is the answer? Offense?
  23. Are we entering a dark era? Not really, I think just a bad season. Injuries, the Cap restrictions have hurt, and the lack of offensive talent has hurt even more. Consider the Ravens were in almost every game this year with chances to win late. But the lack of playmakers stifled those chances to win. The games have been close. I think next year will be better
  24. The Season of Sadness continues... Even though the Ravens Won it feels like a loss.
  25. So when will they announce that he had surgery in October?
