  1. Later rounds that fit the Raven mold: Maliek Collins (DT) Carl Nassib (DE) Willie Beavers (OT) Pharoh Cooper (WR) Sterling Shepard (WR) Graham Glasgow (OG/C) Joe Dahl (G) Dieondre' Hall (CB)
  2. I see these numbers and am immediately brought back to a Cardinal WR named David Boston. A workout warrior who actually had legitimate WR skills, having played for Ohio State in college. Problem was he continued to use Steroids and get huge! He worked out so much that he started to have ligament issues. His carreer was ruined by his obsession with the weight room. Pre-draft measurables HtWt: 6' 1" 215lb He ballooned to 240lb with 21" biceps during his career. Is that a WR or a LB? Why do I bring up Boston? I fear the same ligament issues with T. Beckham.
  3. So anyone notice what the Ravens received fro dropping 18 spots last time? only two 3rd rounders and a 4th rounder. Now all those people saying that the Ravens would receive TWO 2nd rounders and a 4th or 5th from the Rams to move back only 9 spots have to feel pretty silly now. Bottom line is Ozzie like to move and is willing to take less to do it. I still say it is a losing proposition to drop back more than 3 spots in this years draft.
  4. On your list replace Cyrus Jones with Artie Burns, and that list will be more likely.
  5. Jones? in the first two rounds? not likely
  6. IDK I think you are over valuing a trade back.
  7. Oye! That is a NIGHTMARE!
  8. Problem with the highlighted comment is Ozzies inability to retain highly drafted players past their rookie contract. Case in point is our pro-bowl Guard who should have had a contract extension last year now gone. What do you think we realistically get for him next year as a comp? (4th rounder is my bet) Sounds like a losing proposition for a 2nd rounder turned pro-bowler. Now looking for another early pick to replace a pro-bowler.
  9. Someone compare Spence to Yannick Ngakoue for me. Play similar roles, Yannick is faster, similar size. Why is Spence getting so much press with off field issues (which the Ravens should be very adverse to considering recent history of Will Hill & Pierce, Asa Jackson and Boyle PED issues) Yet Ngakoue can be had in later rounds. I would choose Yannick Ngakoue over Spence every day.
  10. If you want to cut somebody it should be Hurst, the guy "Broke" our franchise QB by falling on his knee. If he didn't get any hazing for it he sure should have. I prefer Monroe stays, law of averages says he has his best year as a Raven this year. He had injuries the last two and need to prove his worth for the rest of the contract. I suggest drafting a developments OT in the 4th or later rounds. And for God's sake stop valuing Comp picks out of your #1,2, and 3 draft picks. When you lose a high draft pick that is a starter and only get a 4th rounder (at best, as a comp 3 is no different than early 4) in compensation, then you are doing it wrong. Sign your drafted players(1st through 3rd especially) that are contributing to long term deals before the final year of their rookie deal. Consider now instead of drafting playmakers this draft you are looking to replace your pro-bowl OG player in the early rounds. A position that should be locked down right now.
  11. I'm starting to sour on the Fanspeak board.... I just did this on theirs and kinda think it unrealistic (I see 4 starters in there and a future starter in Smith): 6: R1P6 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER OREGON 36: R2P5 CB KENDALL FULLER VIRGINIA TECH 70: R3P7 RB KENNETH DIXON LOUISIANA TECH 104: R4P6 OLB JAYLON SMITH NOTRE DAME 130: R4P32 CB DEIONDRE' HALL NORTHERN IOWA 132: R4P34 WR RASHARD HIGGINS COLORADO STATE 134: R4P36 DT ADAM GOTSIS GEORGIA TECH 182: R6P7 C AUSTIN BLYTHE IOWA 209: R6P34 OT JOE DAHL WASHINGTON STATE
  12. I have my bias towards 1st and 2nd rounders needing to play right away, so 3rd (and more to my liking 4th round). I figure the first 3 rounds should be keepers, and 4th rounders being developmental guys. If there is a real possibility he doesn't play again it is kinda hard to even jump on the early 3rd round. Just have to think a N.E. team would be willing waste an earlier pick on him as they regularly trade current picks for future picks anyway. So I could see N.E. taking the risk in the 2nd round.
  13. I'm not certain I agree with the explanation. The guy (T. Richardson) is full of excuses, and has been his whole career....I don't see an explosion coming.
  14. Let's assume for a moment that K.O. and Courtney Upshaw give us the highest possible compensatory pick (3rd round, end of round). Does it really make sense to lose any 2nd rounder for at best a late third rounder? And realistically you almost never get a 3rd round comp pick so now we are talking late 4th for a one time starter on your team who you drafted much higher. Seems to me the compensatory plan (stockpiling comp picks for losing 1st and 2nd rounders) is a losing proposition. I would feel better about losing 3rd and later rounders for comp picks. If you draft a guy highly and have him as a starter his whole time with the team (rookie contract) only to lose him and only receive a 4th rounder you are doing it wrong. Now you are spending an equally high selection on a position you shouldn't have to spend it on. Is this why playmakers are not being drafted early often enough?
  15. Used the composite on my daily draft: 6: R1P6 DE JOEY BOSA OHIO STATE 36: R2P5 CB WILLIAM JACKSON III HOUSTON 70: R3P7 WR STERLING SHEPARD OKLAHOMA 105: R4P6 C JACK ALLEN MICHIGAN STATE 131: R4P32 RB ALEX COLLINS ARKANSAS 133: R4P34 ILB DOMINIQUE ALEXANDER OKLAHOMA 135: R4P36 DT JAVON HARGRAVE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE 183: R6P7 OT SPENCER DRANGO BAYLOR 210: R6P34 G ALEX REDMOND UCLA
  16. Sorry but I have disagree.... You have lost much credibility with me on your Elam and Campanaro homerism. Camp is useless as he cannot stay on the field and Elam is a complete bust, he doesn't wrap up when tackling he just tried to hit people to knock them down. The pro's is much better than the college ranks. Time to move on from both.
  17. I feel sick
  18. Been seeing a lot of press on him. Has physical skills but is entering before he is ready due to having to take care of his younger siblings (Mother passed away suddenly and father is in Jail)....I'm not sure he is a early 2nd rounder from what I've read. Apparently his tape isn't as good as his athleticism, and is a dual sport athlete (track) who has limited experience. Sounds like a good person who is trying to do the right thing. He has projections from 2-4th round though (seems a large range to me): Walter football has him as 2-3rd rounder, #8 CB NFL.com is kinda down on him from the write up, but still have him in the 2nd round #7 CB CBS has him rated as day 2 CB with lots of potential
  19. am I missing something? I'm not sure I understand the joke there? would you mind telling me?
  20. Wow this would be a great draft in my mind (W. Beavers projects as a guard on some draft sites) especially nailed it in the 4th round: 6: R1P6 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER OREGON 36: R2P5 DT ADOLPHUS WASHINGTON OHIO STATE 70: R3P7 CB XAVIEN HOWARD BAYLOR 105: R4P6 OT LE'RAVEN CLARK TEXAS TECH 131: R4P32 RB PAUL PERKINS UCLA 133: R4P34 WR PHAROH COOPER SOUTH CAROLINA 135: R4P36 CB DEIONDRE' HALL NORTHERN IOWA 183: R6P7 OT WILLIE BEAVERS WESTERN MICHIGAN 210: R6P34 ILB CASSANOVA MCKINZY AUBURN
  21. My thought's so far into the offseason: SSS Wallace Aiken Perriman Draft pick ( one of these guys: Sterling Shepard/Will Fuller/Josh Doctson/Kenny Lawler/Devon Cajuste) Butler or another draft pick I am done with Campanaro as a Raven he is too fragile. The Browns are just not getting it done, the rest are camp and practice squad guys.
  22. I like this signing. so based on everyone being Healthy receivers.... SSS Wallace Aiken Perriman Butler Givens (iffy but possible) "draft pick" (lets hope it is Shepard) Notice no Campanaro? because of his injury history he will be casualty as will Brown, Brown, Waller, Caelin, Worthy.....
  23. I would substitute Trevone Boykin for Cardale Jones......I don't watch much college football but I do see Ohio state enough to know Cardale Jones is no QB. mechanics are terrible and cannot read the field at all. The team around him made him look good. Trevone Boykin fits the Ozzie late round QB who can do damage with his feet (Smith ,TT, vick etc....), only thing to downgrade him is the off field issue of striking a Police officer. Boykin was infinitely more successful than Jones throughout his career. kinda fits the Russell Wilson mold only without the brainpower of Wilson.
  24. I noticed this trend (WR & CB) rated highly but not picked in the drafts I've done on this site. try it again but this time follow the order of needs as suggested by the site, interesting results that way indeed. for example here is what I got following the Draft needs order and top available according to Walter Football (latest update) the site: 6: R1P6 CB VERNON HARGREAVES III FLORIDA 36: R2P5 OT SHON COLEMAN AUBURN 70: R3P7 DE KAMALEI CORREA BOISE STATE 105: R4P6 WR JALIN MARSHALL OHIO STATE 131: R4P32 DT ADAM GOTSIS GEORGIA TECH 134: R4P35 RB PAUL PERKINS UCLA 135: R4P36 G JOSHUA GARNETT STANFORD 178: R5P39 CB CYRUS JONES ALABAMA 185: R6P7 C AUSTIN BLYTHE IOWA
  25. Lets stop stretching the truth shall we? Seriously 3 1st rounders? Laughable.
