  1. WR is looking very competitive going into camp. Major good vibes on Butler and Aiken really hard not seeing them both on opening day roster. Why everyone is all over Campanaro's jock is beyond me. Camp is a long shot to make the team. Add Waller to the long shot list there is going to be an injury or two that make the decision easier would be my guess. I'm just happy to see the competition be tight.
  2. After yet another injury to Camp (the quad injury), I just don't see him making the team honestly.
  3. Tough to say But I certainly hope it is a receiver! With our luck it'll be a O-lineman.

  5. Exactly Throwback to What? the Browns unis of the 80's?
  6. Is Elam a Bust?
  7. Lets be honest here, there is a lot of speculation as if Waller is the 2nd comming or something....He is going to have a tough time making the team. there are 3 TE ahead of him, and being the 7th WR is most likely. Bottom line Ozzie getting 50% in the draft is considered good. This is the last guy drafted. there has been several guys (in Baltimore) with physical traits similar to Waller who have not worked out. And guys even more successful at the college level with awesome physical traits, that have just not worked out in the NFL let alone on the Ravens. Add to this his School/Team susppensions to start both of the last two season, and I just wonder if he gets it? there is a good possibility he is knucklehead and will be out of the NFL in two years. I like the optimism, but realistically I'm skeptical.
  8. What were the actual reasons Waller was suspended from his college team (TWICE)? why be so vague about the suspensions? This should be a red flag after all he was suspended each of the past two years to start the seasons? My guess is the same infraction? if it is the same then there is a not learning the lesson thing..... Just a thought but he was never really considered a starter in GT, I just gotta wonder if he is really in the running for a spot on the roster?
  9. Why so much excitement for Waller? I'm much, much more interested in Perriman working out. Seriously Waller has a long road to make the team.
  10. Yeah optimism is good and all, but really Waller is going to have a tough time making the team. Unless Campanaro, Butler, and Robinson are all on the bubble this year.
  11. If Perriman is the #1 then yes 30 catches is a massive dissappointment. But being the "X" receiver simply means the guy to go for the deep balls more as I understand it. While the "Z" i smore like Anquan Boldin was for us. Steve Smith or Marlon Brown can fill that role this year I suspect (as could Aiken but I expect a rotation of Aiken/Perriman to start the year). Torry caught 50 his rookie year, thus since I feel Perriman is better as a rookie than Torrey, I should also expect more. I'm trying to not expect too much is all. And would like to see use of all the WR's. So as I might have to increase my expectations...
  12. For the most part I agree with the assessment. Love the first 4 picks. Only places I differ are on the end of the draft. Boyle TE Delaware: Has a uphill battle to make the team, there is still a chance the team looks for a veteran once camps start. Walker CB Texas Southern: I like the bigger Corners and he is one of those, The Ravens are good at evaluating small school prospects, I know nothing about this guy, so will have to wait and see. Meyers OG Tennesee State: I actually think we need another tackle more, Monroe is on his last legs. Waller WR GT: Very low chance he makes the team, There is some real competition ahead of him, I like that we double dipped, but we do not have great success in late rounds with the tall receivers. I do like the potential, likely a IR candidate...But to give this an A is a stretch. There are a coule of LB's that are undrafted I would like to see brought into camp: ILB: Taiwan Jones OLB: Alani Fua And due to my percption that Tackle is a need, if La'El Collins clears his name bring him in as a undrafted free agent.
  13. Lets temper expectations a little shall we? While I'm very happy to have Perriman and Williams in the fold, I think we need Williams to step up more than Perriaman. All I expect, or even think the Ravens need, from Perriman is to take the top off the defense, 30 catches is reasonable, 50 would be awesome. And of course Pass interference penalties that Torrey would get. I expect there to be a group effort from the receiving corp this year with only SSS being the standout. Then pretty even from there. The Run game will lead the way, And defense will set the tone. I actually think the defense will be better this year than last! Hoping beyond hope that the Secondary doesn't have the injury issues. But realistically I know we cannot count on Webb. The DEfensive front is going to be dominant. Expect a similar record this year as last 9-7 and a wildcard playoff berth.
  14. Like this pick, never expected he would be available to the Ravens. Welcome "Mad" Maxx Williams
  15. So if he was chosen in the 2nd round? Would you all be excited? I think it doesn't matter where he is drafted, either he is the big bodied fast receiver we covet or not. My vote is Thumbs up
  16. If I buy a custom jerzey, I prefer to choose my number and add my own name since free agency there are few that actually stay their whole carreer. I do own a Flacco though My other is a Reed Probowl then my personal is a #57 Heinz
  17. Hooray!!!! Big Bodied WR, Fast......
  18. Hooray, the big bodied WR the Fans covet, with speed to boot! I'm a happy camper..... glad it's not another Lollipop guild member.....
  19. Never were more true words spoken.
  20. I agree Mannion is who I'd be targeting in this years draft. But I doubt he last till the 6th round and the late 5th is kinda late too. I would use one of the 4th round comps on him. But hoping he last till the late 5th is the ideal scenario.
  21. There is still Safety talent available: Dion Bailey Terrence Brooks Ed Reynolds I'm not worried about Safety with those guys still out there. And really Mosely is head and shoulders the best ILB prospect in the draft this year, Ozzie did what he does best, he Drafts in what the Fantasy circles call VBD(value based drafting).
  22. I'm a very skeptical fan. That quitting thing last year still stings (there was soo much hope for a steal here). But I think the Ravens are going to wait and see how he does in the conditioning program (seriously many a player fails the conditioning test before the season), and am sure that he will be evaluated through OTA's. After OTA's I feel a decision needs to be made. Either he makes the team right there or you cut bait. There is way too much history to deny anyone else the opportunity.
  23. OK I hope the right decision is made in the end, I for one am not overly hopefull there is anyhting there though. And as many have pointed out as long as he has the minimum price tage I'm ok with giving him a shot in Training camp, but am very pessimistic. However he can go to the practice squad. here are the rules: Every player that gets cut that is not a "vested veteran" is subject to the waiver process. A "vested veteran" is a player that has accumulated four or more seasons worth of experience in the National Football League. McClain has 3 years of NFL experience. So there is a possibility of Practice squad for McClain. Not being a jerk here just pointing out the Rules and how they may apply to Rolando McClain. Of course it would seem there is little chance he would clear Waivers based on what others are saying here.
  24. Oh but you can, It does require Rolando McClain signing during training camp, him not making the team and being cut, then he needs to clear waivers from all other teams, after which the Ravens could sign him to the practice squad. Practice squad does three things in my mind: 1. Give Rolando McClain time to get back into game shape 2. Learn the Defense and show Coaches where he might fit in the rotation 3. Allows Rolando to prove his head is on straight and that he has humbled himself (very imprortant)[probably the most important piece of this idea] This is best scenario in my mind for the Ravens and Rolando McClain.
  25. You want to see if his heart is in it and he has his head on strait? Put him on the practice squad!
