The Walking Dead was fantastic, can't wait for season 2 to start in less then 2 weeks
Looking forward to it as well.
Have you or anybody else started watching "A American Horror Story" on Fx? It's actually not half bad and nicely produced. Last week was the premiere.
My dad wants me to see Real Steel with him lol. I don't know if I can do it. What happened to the zombie movies man? Last one I've seen was 28 Weeks Later, if you can call that a zombie movie. Thinking about buying The Walking Dead.
Not sure if you are a Netflixer or not. But they just signed a deal to stream the Walking Dead (Season 1). In Fact I think today is the first day you can do so.
When you guys say "sick" are you talking about torture mainly?
Martrys has a ton of torture. But it probably falls the most into a horror genre out of three I listed.
A Serbian Film is just sick on all sorts of perverse dimensions,
Irreversible is just a violent brain confusing nigtmare (best way to classify it). Not really torture but more so violence.
Inside. Is a violent, stalker-slasher type flick.
I don't know if you've already seen it or not but there's a French film called 'Inside' that's supposed to be a pretty sick horror film. I haven't seen it personally but I've heard its as disturbing as the films you mentioned!
Yeah. I was actually going to say that movie as well in my post. I watched that last year. It is a very, very good movie. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Can't remember that concept ever being done before.
Ip Man, and Ip Man 2
watch it
I watched both of those a while back and I agree they are great movies. I love the main actor. He is also in 'Iron Monkey' which is on IW as well.
Since its October, I am on my Horror watching only mode. Anybody have any good hidden gems (doesn't have to be IW)? They do have to be hidden because I watch a ton of flicks.
This year the horror films I have watched have been weak compared to last years session. Last year I watches some screwed up flicks. Don't know if anybody's ever seen it but 'Matryrs' has to be one of the most disturbing movies I've ever watched. It's right up there with 'Serbian Film' and 'Irreversible'. If you like sick stuff, all three of these are a must.
Noted. Any idea if it's on Netflix?
It is on IW. And I too thought the new Thing was a reboot.
Looking forward to Straw Dogs. Kate Bosworth is in a class of her own.
Ice Bath, Romo.
Just got finished watching Tokyo Drift. Pretty Sick.

(NOTE: I didn't actually watch that crappy movie, but I did see this clip)
Lincoln Lawyer was pretty damn good.
I actually just watched this and was impressed as well. Usually I'm not a fan of MM and his usual 'big-eyed' acting. But he acted very well in this movie. The story was good, the ending was good. Just a good flick.
I absolutely love Emma Watson. When I get famous and get some money, I'm marrying her lol.
Yea I have developed a strange, mysterious liking to her in the last few weeks and I don't know why. Never liked the Potter stuff.
I've refused to see any of them on principle
I'm with him. I'd rather watch "Follow that bird"
Geez, for anybody with Netflix there is a doozy on instant watch.
Put on "The Wild and Wonderful Whites" of West Virginia. Its a REAL documentary of a messed up WV family that is living off government disability coal mining money. Johnny Knox was one of the producers.
Its ridiculous!!!! Even more so when you realize these are real people.
He was awesome in that role... and then he got a swastika carved into his forehead.
Yeah I hate when that happens.
Has anyone seen Hurt Locker? Any reviews? I was told I need to see it.
Wow, I'm surprised you didn't go see it in the theater.
Its allright. I'm not a fan of Renner. He just seems like the type of guy that's always trying to steal your girl. That pisses me off. Back to the movie. Things blow up, War runs through our blood, etc, etc.
I just watched an older movie 'Just Cause' (available on Netflix IW). Stars Sean Connery and Laurence Fishburne. I thought it was going to be one of those racial tension flicks. But it really duped me in the end. Not a bad flick.
Ed Harris plays an amazing bad guy (Locked up psycho killer).
I'll keep saying this, Punch Drunk Love is the best movie Adam Sandler ever made.
Punch Drunk Love is an excellent movie. In terms of best movies in general, Punch Drunk Love is Adam's best.
But in terms of the Adam Sandler genre, Happy Gilmore takes the case. "The Price is Wrong, B..."
The Crazies is pretty good.
Try "Book of Eli" and "The Road", the latter is really depressing though.
The Road was a good movie. But damn it made me feel like I was depressed and getting tortured. Not many 'bright' spots in the movie.
Sort of gave me the same feeling that Martyrs. Luckily it wasn't as bad. Martyrs disgusted me beyond belief.
Has anyone watched "The Crazies"? If so, was it any good?
Which Crazies? The original one was a cult classic in 1973. The one that just came out was your average run of the mill horror movie.
The new one was half bad. Its a different plot of the other typical horror movies.
With your new found Valentines Day softness, perhaps you would enjoy something like Steel Magnolia's or Waiting to Exhale.
*snicker*
I was thinking more like 'Love Actually.' That Brit accent really hits the spot.
I'd love it regardless... there were rumors that LOST's finale would be shown in a full-length movie, but that didn't materialize, although a 2-hour Finale is about the same length as a movie anyways.
Still so many questions left unanswered.
At least do a spinoff like Hurly's Island. Where they sit around a campfire and argue relationship issues and drink coffee.
I wonder if eventually they will come out with 'Lost' the movie. I'm sure they will and it will probably suck. But I'd go see it.
Yeah, JJ is gold... what did you think of Cloverfield? I really enjoyed it.
Was okay. Left me dizzy w/ a headaches when I left the theater. So much Action on a bouncy picture. Made me feel like I was watching a movie from a boat.
Did anyone see that brittish movie "Monsters" heard it's similar to District 9, right now I'm waiting on J.J Abrams new flick Super 8
Since I'm a Lostie. I too am looking foward to JJ's new movie.
I haven't heard of Monsters. But it made me think of "Little Monsters" with Fred Savage and Howie Mandel. What an awesome movie that was.
has anyone looked at "the lovely bones"?? the story seems good, i was thinking of watchin it
I watched it, and I can't remember any of it. Which tells me the movie isn't any good.

Wednesdays at 10pm. If you like haunting movies like Insidious, then you might light this (at least from what I can tell from episode 1).
