  1. Happy Gilmore

    Billy Madison

    Big Daddy

    Mr Deeds

    Little Nicky

    Waterboy

    _________

    Anger Managment

I was just trying to rank them, and damn was that hard! I don't consider Anger Managment a classic

Yeah I have Waterboy, Billy Madison, and Happy Gilmore in a class of their own. The rest is just fluff,

  2. I have the first movie on dvd. It's very creepy. I don't know hom much it is reated to the video game because I have never played it.

I too loved the first Silent Hill. Movie is dark, strange and creepy. Its very underrated. Didn't know a new one was coming out.

First one was a unique flick.

  3. Went to the theater to see Argo last night. Better than I expected. Fully expect it to be an Oscar nominee for best picture (doubt it wins). The suspense was good, acting good, it felt like 1980. Don't know if the suspense will carry over when watching it at home.

  4. Bringing up an old thread here, but this is as good of place as any to post it in. Has anyone watched Revolution yet? New show, comes on Monday nights? I just watched the first 3 episodes on demand, and its probably on my list of favorite shows. Amazing.

I started to because I am a JJ fan boy. But the acting is weak (besides Esposito) and their are soo many plot holes, and its just hard to buy into what they are doing. It has sooo much potential but they are falling short on execution. But I will continue to watch.

I did like the new show 'Last Resort' as well.

But I am most excited that Fringe is back. Fringe kicks [profanity deleted].

  5. Netflix IW?

Meh. Whatever it is, in queue. ;)

I'm on my quest to watch as many horror movies as I can this month. Just finished 'Cabin in the Woods'. I've been waiting until October to watch. Liked it a lot. Can't remember a movie that pulled off the whole gambit of monsters/ghouls/etc since Monster Squad.

Another horror movie (comedy) that is on IW which is fun is 'Deadheads'. Its Shaun of the dead reversed (but ofcourse not as great). I love how this movie and Tucker and Dale have come up with new ideas.

  6. Here's the storyline tag on IMDB for Hesher:

Hesher is a loner. He hates the world and everyone in it. He has long greasy hair and homemade tattoos. He is malnourished and smokes a lot of cigarettes. He likes fire and blowing things up. He lives in his van, until he meets TJ.

  7. My girlfriend was talking about going to Mexico with some friends... I made her watch Taken last night.

I watched the Ruins, which was filmed in Mexico, and I never ever want to see real Mexican Ruins in my life. I crossed that off my bucket list.

  8. Devil's Double.

Streaming on Neftlix Instant. Great watch. Its a 2011 film about Uday Hussein and his body double. No subtitles they speak with accented English. I've always known Uday was a sick [profanity deleted] but watching it in a film was intense.

Dominic Cooper was outstanding. He played both Uday and the double in the movie and he made them seem like very separable people.

  9. I watched The Great Outdoors. Still rocking my manliness to the max.

Haven't seen that film in a while. Loved the movie but every characters pissed me off. Aykroyd's and Candy's Son were annoying as hell. But that was the purpose (well not the son).

  10. Finally got around to watching the 1928 B&W silent classic 'Faust'.

If anybody is interested in the origins of sci-fi/horror this is a great watch. The imagery and special effects for the time are incredible. At times it gives a very haunting atmosphere. It had an unreal budget for the day.

  11. I saw it this past saturday and loved it. Hope you enjoy it too.

I just received Going Berserk with John Candy(all you really need to know right there) from Netflix today and it was hilarious. Eugene Levy was in it and he was so much more hilarious than he was in the American Pie movies. He was almost always yelling at someone.

Another older movie that Eugene was in that rang a bell for me is 'Splash' with Tom Hanks. Then it brought me back to my childhood days where I had a crush on the mermaiden version of Darryl Hannah.

    Why can't mermaids be real?

  12. Goodfellas was based on real people and experiences. I think Casino was as well.

I looked it up. Both Goodfellas and Casino were novels written by the same author, Nicholas Pileggi who also assisted in writing the screenplay with Martin S.

Both of the novels are classified as non-fiction. Goodfellas is based on the book 'Wiseguys'.

  13. This is sort of off topic but I learned something at the free practice on Saturday.

Josh Charles (currently on 'The Good Wife') is from Baltimore and is a huge Ravens fan. He was actually at the practice on Saturday. I've always liked him, now I like him even more.
