What's up with teams double dipping?
Just now, jazz1988 said:Was Marcus Maye really a second round talent ?
2nd round was viable. I would have went Marcus Williams before Maye though.
Double dipping on the safeties. Maye is a decent FS while Adams can set the tone near the box.
Budha & Tyrann. That could be considered a small mass of energy out in the desert.
GIve it to Seattle. They have so many other needs and they go DL again. Poor Russell Wilson is going to get killed this year.

I hated the idea in the first but I'd be willing to roll the dice on the guy in the 2nd. I would just prefer to see a run on CBs soon than OL.
I'm starting to be convinced that Seattle just hates the pressure of drafting and picking a player.
They have to be going Lamp here.
Are we still spoiler free in here? I hope so. I sort of like watching them announce the pick moreso than seeing a post from a poster. Feels more traditional.

I'm not completely sold on Bowser yet. He's one of those guys that fits the mold and has great athletism but underwhelms on tape. With that being said, I think there is a good chance the Ravens would draft him.
Just now, polynesian15 said:We likely wouldn't get a rusher who could impact the game though.
I'd prefer drafting a good rusher and interior OL with the next two picks, and then signing a vet LG/C to bolster the line.
Yea, as much as we could use a guard, there are plenty of guys later in the draft that you could plug and play and move Lewis to RT. I'd be hard pressed to pass on Lamp. But you could land a guy like Dion Dawkins, Dan Feeney, Nico Siragusa, Isaac Asiata, possibly in the third or later.

I go back and forth on the two. But I agree that Zay Jones is the more well-rounded of the two.

Not because SSR pointed him out. Kupp has been one of my boys since the beginning of the year. He plays tough like a Raven, is deceptively good after the catch, and has good hands, and is a good route runner.
As worried as I am about our line. If Kupp is there at 47, I'll jump for joy
2nd and 3rd rounds has a lot of good hands WRs that don't rely on speed. This is exactly what the Ravens need. Kupp, JuJu, Zay Jones would all be good compliments to the speed we have on the roster. We need some stellar hands and route running out there.
15 minutes ago, Cillmatic said:Zay Jones in the second round would be SWEET.
Even though there are a lot of players I like more than Zay Jones. We need some more players on that side of the ball, especially at the skilled positions. I'd be all for Jones.
I'd be down with Forrest Lamp, Willis, Rivers, Cunningham, McDowell, Raekwon. JuJu Smith-Schuster. Wormley. Even the other Bama guys in the 2nd Cam Robinson, the headcase Tim Williams, or Ryan Anderson. There are a lot of great DBs on the board but I guess we'll pass.
I love the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

And honestly given how Carr has been straight up torched in the past(I'm hoping that Carr from last season shows up), wouldn't surprise me if Humphrey has an iron fist(not the crappy show) on the starting job.
Im not gonna lie. If Jonathan Allen and OJ Howard weren't there. You probably wouldn't have heard a peep from me. Sorry for being angry y'all...
Im very worried about the pass rush though. But this is a good edge class.
I agree, I think Humphrey projects well as a safety. He does have the speed to play corner but he plays much better with the ball in front of him. Still a silly secondary right now.
Edge class is deep. Especially with pass rush specialists. Good options at guard as well. Tons of good DBs too.
This must have been Ozzie's wet dream. The best players on the board were all 'Bama guys.
But count me in as another one that likes Humphrey as a player, but didn't like the value we passed up. I am typically one who hates drafting head cases and prefer clean guys, but Foster was an elite talent in this draft. Jonathan Allen was a difference maker. There was also a top flight playmaker in Howard still on the board.
I'm of course hoping Humphrey lights it up. His tendency to get beat and lack of ball skills leaves you wanting a bit more.

This includes any history with drugs, DV or rape(obviously), recent injury, or even diluted sample
This takes players like Cam Robinson, Tim Williams, Reuben Foster, Jabrill Peppers, Corey Davis, Takk Mckinley, and Ryan Ramzcyk off the list....probably John Ross too
Jonathan Allen is kinda in that in between category with his shoulders
We will target a PERFECTLY CLEAN prospect and he will be in the building during the selection.
.....making our 16th overall selection.....*drum roll please*.....
Hasaan Reddick Linebacker Temple
Well Reddick was arrested for an off field arrest. Not 100% clean but manageable. Just saying.

I didn't see one on Tampa's official site, I didn't see one for the Steelers either, unless its under Steelers Nation Unite.
I would say that most teams do not have an official team sponsored message board.

Are you just switching to twitter/facebook/snapchat or leaving the site once forum is closed?
1] switching
2] leavingToo late now
Definitely not Twitter or Facebook. Wastelands except for breaking news. My exposure to the rest of this site is via the forum. No need to come back now.
34 minutes ago, Purple Punishment said:So my last question is, what exactly are the message boards hurting? What is the reasoning besides what was given already?
No one. This is simply a business decision. Probably a mix between costs and a marketing angle. Having a message board has little benefits. Probably more of a liability than anything else. Close the message board and force users to support the official social media.
Wish they would keep a place for us die hard fans to discuss all things Ravens. But business first like usual.

Well that sucks too.
When ?
IMDB shut down their message boards, they aren't shutting down the whole site. This already happen, their message boards have been gone for a couple weeks now.
This is really sad news. Although I don't post here as much as I used to due to life, I still linger around a lot. I'm not one of the OG posters but I'm pretty close. Joined when the boards opened back in 2007. I like a lot of the posters here and this place has been a sort of home. I rely on the knowledge shared here more than the so-called experts.
I hate how message boards are shutting down (like IMDB) and we are being pointed to Facebook and Twitter instead. There are no meaningful discussions there, just people blabbing out single opinions into open space with no common theme.
Ugh.

It needs no explanation if you are 40+
I'm not 40 but close enough and The Breakfast Club is one of my favorites. #25 out of 5,605 for me.

You're the first person I've ever seen that had 'The Girl on the Train' and must watch in the same sentence. And I thought I enjoyed it more than most.
Top 10 can change by the mood. But according to my Flickchart these are my top 20:

Looking at those offensive weapons on Carolina versus what we have makes me really depressed.
