  1. Haha. Tango and Cash. Too much bro-love in that film. But it did have the guy with the biggest chin in the world, Robert Z'Dar.
  2. AMC has been on fire for me Breaking Bad (Just finished watching first 4 seasons and watching 5th season live), Hell on Wheels, Mad Men, Walking Dead. Besides AMC I am also a huger 'Fringe' fan and also watch 'American Horror Story', 'Wilfred', I'm catching up on some old series as well through Netflix. 'Dark Shadows', 'The Wire' and 'Arrested Development'.
  3. True. Perhaps his best 'other' attempt was 'Everything Must Go'.
  4. Actually watched this last night. Its pretty funny at times but it overall it fell a bit short. I actually prefer Nacho Libre over Casa De Mi Padre. Both play similar roles. The stupid person on a mission.
  5. Either it is too early to make a reboot of Total Recall or I'm just getting old. I hope its not the latter. Next thing we know, they'll be rebooting Twilight........oh wait....that's already in the works. http://screenrant.com/twilight-movies-reboot-remake-kofi-180408/
  6. It was alright. I think its a bit over hyped. Those were the years that Pacino was on fire. I would recommend 'Dog Day Afternoon' or 'Serpico' before '....And Justice for All'. That movie does have Pacino ranting that famous line:
  7. I just watched 'Salo, 120 days of Sodom' last night. A film that has been banned in many countries but has been hailed as a work of art by many top critics. A very tough watch but does have many social/political undertones. In my eyes, probably not art. But it is artistic. The film is definitely a top entry on my most disturbing films list. I felt dirty and depraved after watching it.
  8. I've had this on my extremely long list of movies to watch for a while. The whole movie is posted on YouTube. So many great/hidden movies to watch, not enough time.
  9. Apparently I watched this movie last October. I can't remember any of it and rated it a 5/10 on IMDB. So I'm guessing that it is forgettable. Did you watch it?
  10. I just watched another screwed-up movie. "Visitor Q" a perverted film by the legendary Takashi Mike. Covers most topics. Incest, Necrophilia, Bullying, Rape, lactation, prostitution and a whole lot of other goodies. Definitely adding it to my most disturbing films list. I also watched 'Begotten'. Very hard piece to watch. Disturbing, yes. Art, sure. Lots of imagery that you have to know about before watching the film.
  11. Somehow I made it through The Human Centipede 2. I feel like I should get a boyscout badge of honor or something. The movie does make it onto my most disturbing films list. The film was an interesting take on fans of the first film (using the first film throughout) and the main character was portrayed quite well. I heard that he isn't even an actor, just a guy they found. I hope they cease the movie franchise now. I don't know how they can further it.
  12. That's because books allow you to essentially create the environment (and characters somewhat), which will always trump what a director pushes to you.
  13. That is my favorite John Woo film. You'd think a film with Cage & Travolta would suck with over-the-topness. But it actually worked itself into a fun action movie.
  14. Yep. Both were very good renditions. I always favor originals more.
  15. I am on the fire right now. I'll have to check out the comics one day. I didn't think I'd like the movie with Josh Harnett and all, but those style of vamps were awesome. Especially Danny Hutson.
  16. Yep. It's an adapted King novella. The ending still sticks in my head since I've saw it in 2007. It's a creature feature.
  17. Let's see if I can pick some rarer ones. Martyrs (2008) - Foreign movie but it makes you think and squeam. Dead End (2003) - Watched this last year and absolutely loved it. Triangle (2009) - Alternate time lines Burnt Offering (1976) - Older but a classic Deadgirl (2008) The Mist (def watch this if you haven't - one of the best endings (or worst)) 30 days of night - One of my favorite vampire movies The Devil's Chair - Reminds me of Guy Ritchie meets horror. The Ruins
  18. I seem to be heading down that path as well. My wife doesn't want to have kids, she's 'career driven'. I would. Isn't it suppose to be the other way around?
  19. I'm disappointed with the 'Dark Shadows' movie coming out. I started watching the original 1966 TV series 5 years ago and am ONLY on episode 815. The new movie does not pay tribute to the original series at all. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have turned it into a Carnival fun house rather than the supernatural character driven aspect of the original.
  20. Hell yea, Mid-30 is old. Your like a granpa. Luckily I am still 'young' in my early 30s. I'm going to savuer everyday of my youth for the next couple years.
  21. A lot of the Oscar best pictures this year are overrated. Just a bunch of self-occupied Hollywood 'art'. The Artist, Hugo and Extremely Loud & Incredibly close.
  22. You need to stop spending so much time at the theater. What you need is a good dvd player and Netflix disc account. Catch up on some of the things you missed.
  23. Pretty good stuff. Excellent casting. What took you so long to watch?
  24. I applaud you for seeing the original one first. Haven't seen the follow ups. Hornest nest or Fire. Sure they aren't as good since the original crushed Swedish records. I'm sure if the US version does well they'll spit out the Hornet's Nest and Fire sequels quickly.
  25. What's everybody's favorite Christmas movie? Mines gotta be 'A Christmas Story'. Classic that gets better with time.
