  1. Digging up posts from the past. Have you seen your girl in La La Land yet? Could get her an Oscar. It's a competitive race but damn was she stellar in La La Land. She told a million stories with her face alone.
  2. Has the Raven D ever proven they can shut down a game when playing from ahead? There is a consistent weak link.
  3. It could get sticky. Bell wants to be paid and when he plays is well worth the money. But the Steelers need to hedge their bets with the injuries and suspensions. The tag is the only likely solution and I could see Bell being rebellious (like smoking some more). Still a good chunk of money to tie up in a RB though.
  4. Agreed. But I doubt Bell will be happy about it. With all of his injury concerns and money hungry rap songs, he could put up a fight under the tag.
  5. Yes, Super Bowls do not grow on trees. One of my favorite sayings. The Ravens have the leadership from the top to be perennial contenders, albeit mostly fringe contenders. Honestly, we have been spoiled by our prior success, and jaded by aspiring to be the dominating Patriots with their HOF coach and QB. At the end of the day, we are considered a winning organization. But you can't blame the fans for wanting more.....like a dynasty.
  6. Agreed. The proof is in the pudding. The defense has always struggled maintaining two score leads late in games under Dean. With or without the players to execute. Play-calling tends to go conservative and fail. His defense proved it can be great, but fails under the stress test everytime.
  7. Our offense was moving the ball well this game. Some games it seems impossible to score with three downs on the one. But in this one, I think four downs at the 1 and we score without much resistance. We were all cheering when Juice reached for the endzone. But damn, if only his knee went down it would have played better. Can't fault the guy, he breaks a tackle and sees the endzone within reach. Absolutely stellar play. One that us Ravens fans will have remembered.....if we won.
  8. I think he can really blossom if the Ravens plan to move the ball downfield. There has to be times where he is one-on-one without safety help. In these scenarios you have to throw up the ball and see what he can do. This is something the Ravens and Joe tend to shy away from. With that being said, his drops will be a continued frustration throughout his career. He seems to be one of those players that can make the tougher catches look easier than the routine ones.
  9. I'm sure Joe and the Ravens could make a 30 passing TD season ugly after this year.
  10. This is a really sickening loss because there were so many moments in this game that if one thing occurred, it could have changed the outcome in our favor. -We stop Brown at the 1. They have to spike and maybe have enough time to kick a FG. -We were a second away from stripping Ben from behind on a throw late in the game. -If Juices knee goes down at the 1 yard line. We could have shaved at least another 30 seconds off the clock. -If Denis and Joe connect on one of their two failed TD attempts.
  11. Harbs is a tough case. He shouldn't be fired but I also think he'll never be a top coaching mind. He is a great leader and motivator. Our players never quit on him, the evidence is in all the close games. Doesn't matter how big an underdog or how many points down we are, the players keep playing hard. Thats the power of John. The downside is that he just isn't a brilliant football mind. He will never win the chess match with long vision, he is a type of player that swaps pieces and hopes to eke it out in the endgame. He has little input in the X's and O's. And can never outcoach anyone. That is why you must hire strong coordinators and not castaways.
  12. Imagine if you told Ravens fans at the beginning of the season that Joe would throw for over 4,000 yards for the first time in his career. We'd all envision a successful season like 10-6 or 11-5. This was the ugliest 4,000 yard season. Definitely not how any of us would have pictured a 4,000 yard season.
  13. If the Bills beat the Dolphins and Oakland lost this weekend, I envisioned the Pats losing to ensure the Ravens were kept out of the wildcard spot. They'd rather face the inexperienced Dolphins and a backup QB than an experienced Ravens team on the road to the SB.
  14. Yea, Andre Johnson was also the guy I pictured. In his heyday he was one of the best at the position without the drama.
  15. Reports. I'll believe it when I see it. The WRs we have taken in early rounds are Mark Clayton, Torrey Smith, and Perriman. All of whom would be on the ultra good side of character.
  16. It is music to Pats and Steelers ears. That is why you just want a ticket to the dance. You have a bunch of teams with little playoff experience and backup quarterbacks. This AFC playoffs all you need is one big win against the Pats or Steelers and the rest of the path is easier to the SB.
  17. Well some good news is that the Steelers are probably going to have to invest a lot of money in their RB after the season. He's going to finish the season strong going into unrestricted FA. And he wants to be paid.
  18. I'm with you though. I would love to get a dominant #1 WR. Sadly with Ozzie and John running the show, they will probably never take a chance on a super diva like OBJ, Dez, or Sammy, which rules out a lot of top playmakers at the position. Because they don't fit the "Ravens culture"
  19. That is such a bummer. It was nice to see some fresh exciting blood in the playoffs. Instead the NFL product is giving us plenty of crappy AFC teams to root for against the machine.
  20. Let's go Cheifs! Just like we know a tough loss/(maybe win) is inevitable when we are up two scores in the 4th, its seems inevitable that either the Patriots or Steelers will be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl again. It's sickening. If it goes to a Steelers-Pats AFC championship team, I'm sort of lost as to who I want to win. At least only one of them can go to the SB. This is almost as bad as the time we lost to the Steelers in the AFC championship game only to send the Steelers to the SB. Ugh.
  21. Too be fair. Antonio Brown was in a lower class than Julio and OBJ coming out of school. A round six pick that was a very deep gem. Those are sort of hard to gauge. And having an elite #1 receiver has never guaranteed you a SB.
  22. Ozzie got the heat off a little with the 2016 draft. Stanley, Lewis, Dixon, Young, and Judon are looking like bright spots in our future. But Ozzie has had his struggles in recent years. Especially near the top of the draft and when it comes to skilled players. Nowadays he's at his best finding great role players and not game breakers. He has shown off some decent skill in free agency. He'll need to do it again in 2017. But IMO, he really needs to get a splash player in the draft.
  23. I can't see us bringing back Marty either. But knowing the Ravens they might. Marty gets a semi-pass for two reasons. One - we need consistency out of the O-cord position and two, this really wasn't his offense. But with that being said. I agree with you that he showed absolutely nothing with his output. His play calling was more on the frustrating side than promising. Marty coming from the school of Andy Reid is just not what this offense needs. Neither was Trestman. They need to get these coordinator hires right. While it might seem the coordinator is always the scapegoat, it still has some merit. The guys we bring in just aren't fits for the pieces we have. Our O-Cord is just as important as the HC in this organization and we need to treat it such and not waste it on flame-outs.
  24. This call is easy, Ravens will win. Why? Because it will continue the teasing and torturing of the Ravens fans. It's the Ravens way. We win a meaningless game and drop several draft spots because of it. Probably suffer a big injury as well. Give the fans something to look forward to.
  25. Idk, the playoffs are a different animal. Miami in December Pittsburgh with little experience is a tough sell.
