Just doesn't set his feet anymore really
Bosa was easily my no. 1 player last year. Had Gurley and Marcus Peters top 5. If you knew what Manziel was like off the field at A&M you knew he'd never be able to lead an NFL team. I didn't like him on the field either.
Had Gabe Jackson as a top 32 player. Also liked Trufant and Tuitt more than most. I know it's very early and everyone knew he was going to need development, but I thought Correa was more of a 4th rounder.
I missed pretty bad on Jarvis Jones, Cordarrelle Patterson, Marqise Lee, Arthur Brown and Elam (maybe).
I think I struggle most with scouting WR's, just so hit or miss. I thought Kevin White and Devante Parker would be immediate playmakers, though we'll see how they develop. Didn't think Mike Evans would be that good, but he did have a ton of drops last season. Not sure if he's cleaned that up this year. My biggest strength is easily DL, then CB.
Fournette would be a great pick

True, those were just the ones I wanted along with Alexander. Shepard would have been great too. I'm not sure Pees would have used Cravens well tbh, especially with CJ and Orr there. I wasn't a fan of Henry though he has looked pretty good. I think it's hard to gauge Bama RB's when they just have such a dominant team around them.

correas not receiving playing time cos he cant get on the field
could have picked up developmental lbs in the 5th round
high 2nd should be guys getting out there and making a difference - now
still remember this article
That's why the Ravens' second-round pick at No. 36 overall has a first-round feel. Baltimore expects one of their top-30 players to be there at that point in the second round.
"That pick to us should be a first-round type player," DeCosta said.
we came away with correa
It sucks watching Spence, Whitehair and Michael Thomas all become studs.
The biggest problem is all the early round misses. The FO has done pretty well in mid rounds, but those guys are only so talented. Early rounds are where you get the great players, which is why we don't have many. Also, some of the very few they have hit on leave because the FO favors old players, who have just gotten worse and whose bodies have deteriorated. It's not hard to see why this roster isn't very good.
3 minutes ago, ravensnick said:In my opinion, Steve Pierce is talented, but we really don't have anyone behind him. I wouldn't feel comfortable letting Williams walk and just having Pierce and a possible draft pick at NT next year.
It's Michael Pierce and he's a stud. I'd feel a lot better letting Williams go and signing a veteran run stuffer, which aren't very expensive.
8 hours ago, ravensnick said:You really think we are going to let Williams walk? He's by far the best player on our defense, I'd be pretty disappointed if they let him go.
Weddle is easily the best and most impactful defender. And Williams is less valuable than Jimmy, Mosley and Jernigan imo.
I think giving Williams a top DT contract would turn out to be yet another debilitating contract. He's a great run defender but we really need to focus on defending the pass. We have a good replacement who's extremely young and cheap. The run D should still be great without him.
Ladainian Tomlinson skipped 6 yards on the set of NFL Network while everyone laughed to demonstrate how bad we are. We're a joke to everyone. It's pathetic.

Just two mad kids throwing a fit.
Hmm interesting, that's obviously a lot better but not sure how exactly they'd view that. I do like a him as a prospect quite a bit though.
I know it's early, but Williams and Walker are both probably top 25 players
5 hours ago, allblackraven said:I don't see Williams falling to 2nd but wouldn't hesitate much if he's there. Comparing him to Correa is pretty unfair - he's bigger, faster and properly coached OLB.
I'll again mention Ryan Anderson as a good get in 2nd round. Nasty player.
Like a lot of good players, Ryan Anderson has a domestic violence background so pretty unlikely he becomes a Raven.

Ya there's no way Harbaugh believes all the BS he's spewing out about how we're beating ourselves with unnecessary holding penalties or CB's just having their eyes in the wrong places, etc. A lot of the guys on the field just aren't good enough. It's why it's the same problems every single week.
Garrett, Allen, Fournette, Mike Williams, Cook (wait never mind he supposedly hit a woman). We NEED to go get a game changer or we're going to be stuck in mediocrity forever.
I have no idea how someone can say Harbaugh should be fired but a change in the front office isn't needed.

Hooker has some rare ability. He needs more games under his belt but the ones I've seen he looks incredible.
3 minutes ago, rmw10 said:Still not totally willing to say it myself, but it is the first time I've even considered it a possibility in my mind.
I'd really like to know who's in charge of what with those two. It makes it harder for outsiders to diagnose exactly what the problem is, but they are not bringing in anywhere near enough talent and there's been so many bad contracts. And this has been happening for years now. We've just been able to barely hang on due to good long-tenured players but now those guys are gone or suck.
So many things wrong. As bad as Flacco is doing we're stuck with him.
A change from Ozzie and Decosta is needed and that's the first time I've ever said that
I like the players, but I think you're living in fantasy land. Also, we don't get anything for Brandon Williams this year, but KO should net another 3rd.
3 hours ago, PurpleCity5 said:I think OLB via FA makes sense though. You want a proven pass rusher there, we have Smith, Correa, and Judon on the roster and they are some young guys out there. Also, it won't insanely expensive to find an OLB. The Titans got Brian Orakpo on a 1YR deal then give him a 4YR 32M contract after that. Given the nature of how badly we need a pass rusher, and we need one bad, than It wouldn't shock me if we went all in on OLB and CB and dedicated the draft to the OL.
Guys I like on OLB is Melvin Ingram, Nick Perry, and Jabaal Sheard are good options who we can get at the right price. One guy who I really like, and yes, I know he's old but he's so good and its Lorenzo Alexander. I think he could be a Daryl Smith type of signing, someone we have for 2-3 years and contributes but also sets a trend for our younger players on how to rush the passer. Guy is a beast and seems like a typical Ozzie Newsome signing. He won't be the answer because of his age and we will be forced to help our pass rush, but he would be such a great addition here. Again, it would force us to draft a pass rusher really high but what we need right now is someone who can pack heat on the QB, regardless of age.
I think we could address one of those positions, and I agree OLB would be likeliest. However I do not want to sign and rely on a 34 year old pass rusher. I'm pretty tired of all these old guys on the roster either getting hurt or just losing all their athletic ability. It'd be great if we could get a decent youngish rotational guy there, grab one of the stud CB's in the 1st then hit OLB again in the 2nd or 3rd.
We should definitely pass on resigning Brandon Williams and use that money for someone more valuable.
On 10/20/2016 at 11:37 AM, PurpleCity5 said:Yep, but the draft makes a lot of sense for us at center. I think we could take one in the 2nd round. This may seem outrageous but what if we went full on out Dallas Cowboys. What if we use FA entirely on OLB and CB, then we go back to back on offensive linemen. Take a guy like Quenton Nelson who could be a future pro bowl LG as early as the mid-teens and then getting a guy like Pat Eifen in the 2nd round. Both look like really good players IMO. Only downside to that is that if you put out Nelson and Eifen as your starters, then you're going to have a really young OL with Stanley and Lewis as your tackles with your only vet being Yanda. But man o man, if that works out then you're going to have not only one of the best OLs, but a young OL that can protect Flacco for the next 4-5 years. It's worked out amazingly for Dallas and the Falcons made investments at OL too and its paid off for them. QBs always play better with a cleaner pocket.
I don't know why those words are in bold but whatever.
Fixing OLB and CB in free agency would be insanely expensive

But Jimmy is either on just one side of the field or injured
15 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:There are some scouts who do not like Juju Smith-Schuster because he goes to USC. It's a legit concern until a USC WR succeeds and justifies his draft position. Some schools systems just don't prepare them well.
I also truly do not like Baylor offensive players and so far they're kinda just average players in the NFL.
Yeah I get a few of them. I hate most Boise State players. Some systems are just bad, but they can change over time so I give every prospect a chance.
1 hour ago, PurpleCity5 said:I feel like Quincy Anunwa is going to be a guy who can give us fits. He can get behind a defense if you sleep on him. I'm worried more about him than Marshall because I know this team is going to do whatever possible to stop Marshall.
This team can't stop real No. 1 WR's no matter what they do.
