  1. Who even cares at this point? Harbs knows his O can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag, but insists on putting them out there. The formations were garbage, and the opposing D knew they could just pile-up at the line. These coaches are supposed to be so cerebral, how about buying a clue? My wife was just explaining how expensive the tickets are for the Steelers game. I said, "Who cares? I don't want to go see this sorry excuse for a team lose once again." I went to the preseason vs Detroit, and we went to the 9-11 game versus Buffalo; but not sure I even care to go to any more this season at this point. Hopefully they get their crap together soon, but with this coach's decision making, I doubt it.
  2. No! You always take the points available! They are too hard for this team to come by, to just waste them. At this point, why did we even franchise a kicker if we're not going to use him? The offense had three tries and couldn't get a feaking yard, so let's try an even longer run? Come on, man!
  3. Looks like he'll already have chemistry built up with Joe, so that's always a good thing. From what you guys have posted up for reading material (thanks very much), I bet he's been just dying to get his hands on this offense! Plus he's already also had the opportunity to see what hasn't been working for us, so hopefully he's got a pretty good idea on some strategy to play to our strengths. As others have said, I'm now pretty anxious to see what he can bring to the table; but I'll try to temper my expectations for the time being
  4. Hmm, that could be because people (like myself) might not even realize there is a specific board forum. Thanks for the tip guys http://boards.baltimoreravens.com
  5. Idk, I think Trestman is a little underrated as an Offensive Coordinator...look at how he's had all us fans offended these past two years! ;)
  6. It seems to me that these issues have been an ongoing trend in the Ravens backfield for a long time. It doesn't even really matter which CB we put there, all of them wind up trailing behind their receivers and can never seem to get their heads around to make a play on the ball. This looks (to me) to be a case of our coaching/scheme. How is it that so many teams can have sucess coaching their CBs in this area, but not us? Maybe we should be looking for a new DB coach?
  7. Last I saw Brooks was #29 in an Eagles uniform iirc, and only on the field for punts/kickoffs. Looks like Harbs is giving Waller a full week of practice with us, before deciding what to do with him. Hopefully Huff could be an improvement over Lewis, but would still need time to learn the language and playbook. Still, if Oz is willing to give the young man a chance, then so am I. None of us are Saints...I mean unless we're taking about a Louisiana team ;) lol
  8. Anybody know how it went for Shamiel Gary? I didn't see him on the transactions, so I guess no go? Is Rahim Moore still available?
  9. So basically this is a back and forth argument. Joe says he wants more chunk plays, indicating that it must be on the OC; and then Harbs comes in and says the plays are called but not taken. This is him pretty much saying the exact opposite of Joe, and basically defending the OC. So which is it? I think Joe needs to get one-on-one with his guys and say this is how it's going to be, no matter what dink and dunk plays they call. Show them results, and then maybe they will get it through their heads. Oh btw, I see it looks Cromartie is available now ;) And why not just bring Will Hill back and dump Useless...oh, I meant Lewis? (One play dude, and you had One Job: Don't let anyone behind you!)
  10. Was Doom even out there this game? I didn't really see any of our D Line do Jack either! And fans have every right to complain about BS like we had to witness! How do you take a fourth down stop away, to give them another free down? (Rhetorical) I saw it earlier in the game with a third down as well! We are calling it what it is: piss-poor coaching, and Harbs admitted as much. Why isn't there a revolving door opposite of Jimmy right now? Is Will Davis not good/healthy enough to start at CB? What about Young or even Powers? Why do we have to watch the same guy get victimized every time? Don't you think it might at least help to see if it's just him as the weak link or not?
  11. Yeah, I saw that coming a mile away as well :/ No idea why they would let Will Hill walk and keep Lewis? But in all fairness, if the Defensive front could have gotten ANY pressure (all day), maybe those guys wouldn't have to be in those positions? I mean, I swear I saw 6 of our defenders being handled by four O Linemen at times! And our O Line was pretty pathetic today. The way we played (and were coached), it's a wonder we were still in this thing all the way down to the end.
  12. Yep, I have to agree with Law. When you can't run the ball all game, and then you get it going you then decide to throw it three times in a row? They had five yards to go! That's on coaching, IMO. After the first "almost pick", you decide to keep throwing? smh I guess Trestman has a coaching job waiting next year in Oakland, huh?
  13. I had been working on midnight shifts around that time, so I was resting when my gf woke me up to show me the smoking tower on tv. The news anchors were saying they thought it was a fire, but soon after we saw the second plane hit. I cried like a baby that day; and to this day I still well-up whenever the National Anthem is played. God Bless all those who lost loved ones that day.
  14. I rememeber that game. It was brutal. Housh and Boldin both. And then the next year iirc Evans couldn't get it done either. So glad Boldin came through for us after that though. Me and my buddy used to call it "The Anquan Boldin Show" for a while there. I even started to yell it out when we were at the Detroit pre-season game! lol Just glad it didn't turn out to be his day though ;)
  15. Dang! OZ trolled us hard AF! :D
  16. Yup, the cuts were pretty brutal right after our last SB too. Still smarting from all that lost talent... :/
  17. In additon to the ones called on us; I also saw a pretty blatant block-in-the-back by a Cards player on one of the kick-offs. Also pretty sure I saw a Cards offensive player grabbing Trawick#28 by the face mask. The announcers let me confirm my suspicions by showing a replay...but they seemingly did not notice as they were talking about a Cards player at the time! Don't get me wrong, I think Gruden and Tirico are by far my favorite announcing duos to date. I think they do a good job, and especially love Gruden's desire to help us fans see a little behind the scenes, with diagnosing plays, language terminology, and what-not. Hoping we get some of these "homefield advantage" calls in the next coming weeks.
  18. All these conspiracy theories going around...hehHere's the real tip! D Pees is actually purposefully putting these guys in the wrong positions. But it's for a good cause really! Look at it this way, if we stink it up this season, maybe we can keep an OC for more than one year! Go RAVENS!
  19. That wasn't a gamble, that was russian roulette...and bang! Lol
  20. Sorry gang, I should have listed from his first year as DC in NE (2006-2009)2006 NE 2nd BAL 1ST 2007 NE 4th BAL 22ND 2008 NE 8th BAL 3RD 2009 NE 5th BAL 3rd 2010 NE 8th BAL 3rd 2011 NE 15th BAL 3rd 2012 NE 9th BAL 12th (1st yr w Pees) 2013 NE 10th BAL 12TH 2014 NE 8th BAL 6TH I personally don't see a smoking gun as far as NE goes

  22. What the what!? Who scouts these guys!? I hear you, FBR. This is pretty disturbing. Also pretty telling that they would give the start to a 4 day walk-on instead of Walker. Pretty sure I saw him give up a td in preseason, but he has not progressed? I remember that as well. I was at the M&T free practice that year and thought they looked very good in that no-huddle. Pretty sure that transitioned into the sugar-huddle, where I believe plays were still ran in an uptempo fashion. I believe we went away from that since Castillo's ZBS. I believe we do still see that in the two minute drill, but I know you were talking about pre two minute. The flip side to that I guess is, if you go three and out; then you haven't given your defense much time to rest. Thanks for some good reads Go RAVENS!
  23. The only reason that quick play works in practice, is because you have the ravens defense covering your guys! Spike the damn ball!
  24. I'm curious to see if anyone can tell me how many other times Pees has left a CB one-on-one with a #1 WR w/o Safety help over the top! How soon we forget that all of our corners have ALWAYS been susceptible to double moves! So Wright comes in for four days, and we expect him to be Revis? C'mon man! On that play, was I the only one jumping up and yelling at the tv for our safeties to get back in coverage? As someone else pointed out, they were so close to the LOS, they looked like line backers!
  25. I'm just curious how many days Will Davis had to get ready for Pittsburgh? Looked like he did well covering on the couple plays I saw from him. I don't think JH calling Wright out was fair; and probably not a good move for morale either I bet. My issue is, if the players seem to change, but the mistakes (in secondary) are the same; doesn't that seem to lead to the scheme/DC? Whose decision was it to leave our corners out-to-dry without any safety help over top! That's bad coaching, there man. Harbs even called him out a few losses ago. It was something like, "We could have ran different coverage in those plays, but didn't". It's not over; chin up Wright! Own up to and learn from your mistakes and prove to us you can be that guy. Go RAVENS!
