  1. I tried not to doubt Dean Pees but it seems that he is no more than a Gregg Mattison clone. Anyone that thinks rushing three is supposed to accomplish anything other than wearing down a few of your oun D Linemen is basically stupid. I hate to see someone Rush Three, and rushing two means you are a blatant dope. While in the NFL there are many guys of smaller size with amazing strength, however the laws of physics don't change. Rushing two three hundred pounders against five three hundred pounders? Do the math. Pees must not do math. He sure can't game plan. I'm done and disgusted!

We need a change. At defensive coordinator for certain but Im not sure there's anyone in-house that would be a better option. I think after this year Harbs might give Pees the boot.

  2. Regardless of who the CB is on the field, could we please not have the CB's leave a 10 yard cushion between them and the receiver? Sometimes our CB's aren't even close enough to show up on the TV screen until after the completions. As well as look for some new additions to personnel, let's try changing the coverage scheme to cover closer instead of just chasing receivers easy completion after easy completion.

It seemed like everybody grilled me when I complained about Dean Pees' play calling vs New England last year in the playoffs regarding his 10-12 yard cushions on every play. Do you guys know what I mean now? He does it no matter what team we face. Anti Cooper is a rookie. Good veteran corners like Jimmy Smith are suppose to be aggressive and play press because most rookie receivers have a hard time getting past press coverage.. Especially as big and tall as Jimmy is. The reason we're a "Bend but Don't Break" defense is because Pees' will not let this cushion go. It's not just versus New England or a great offense. It's verse every team. Somethings gotta change with Dean Pees' coverage play-calling. We can't keep having severly up and down weeks. It's been like this ever since Pagano left town to Indy. I don't know about y'all but I sure miss the uniqueness of Rex Ryan and Chuck Pagano..

  3. I know every team plays eight home games and eight away games, but why does it seem like we spend so much time on the road?

Because we usually win all our games at home and then split out games(at best) on the roqd so we remember the losses alot more. It also seems like the fans get rowdier when the home team faces the ravens? Maybe its just me but it seems like it.

  4. One thing I noticed is we played better when Joe was in the shotgun than under center. I'm surprised we just didn't continue that when we needed to score. Every time Joe was under center the defense either pressured the Hell out of him or the run was stuffed.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that too. Ask trestman why he didnt. Its common sense. When the pressure is getting to the QB, run more shotgun. We can still run from it if need be. The playcallng was just very cam cameron and watered-down, non creative, conservative, lackluster. Pick whichever you like.

  5. Marc tressman the QB whisperer. I'll take cam back.

I dont normally overreact but cmon trestmans offense has been nothing but i-formation runs and dump offs no further than the line of scrimmage. I was hopeing the preseason was just hm playing conservative but this broncos game was literally no different at all. None. No creativity in his play calling at all. Alot of people complained that in chicago, he would never run passing routes to open up other receivers. Every reciever ran a seperate route. So far, I see a camv2.

  6. So we waste a #1 pick on a lame receiver.....nothing new with this team....just chuck the pick out the door and next time do a tiny bit more research into who we are picking up!!! Oh wait....nope still not practicing!!....On the upside Camp is really stepping up and staying healthy which is a good thing but the is NO excuse for this Mispick!!! SMH

Every post you have always have 5+, thumbs down or more and for good reason. Perriman isnt a bust just because he has a strain. Get off his back. All your post are filled with negativr garbage that isnt remotely true.

  7. In that play during the last winning Ravens drive where we were 4th and 20 and he caught a pass in the flat and ran for 22 yards and a game-saving first down with an athletic leap and a bone crunching smash into the defender and kept going his style somehow reminded me of Heap of years gone by.

Yea NFL nrtwork analyst and former ravens scout, Daniel Jeremiah said Maxx strongly reminded him of Todd Heap.

  8. these arent things i got from his preseason game, i got this from watching his college games, even his highlights were yawn inducing, he just looked uncoordinated and looked like he just offered nothing more than long reach.

i didnt like gilmores athleticism or catching ability when i looked at the tape, but i did like his toughness, thats as hardnosed a player as ive ever seen and i had a feeling he would carve himself a niche, just didnt think he'd be the top TE by year 2 lol

Yea Gilmore took huge strides compared to his college tape. Honestly, I thought he was going to be nothing but a blocker/depth for us. He has soft hands and is starting to find the soft spot in defenses well. I know he only made two catches last night but they were close together and good for keeping drives alive. Hopefully he keeps it up throughout the season.

  9. I am severely concerned about our secondary, 1st thru 3rd on the depth chart. I cannot fathom watching another season of our db's in hot pursuit, trailing each and every receiver. They do not cover, they follow, and as for tackling, that's even worse. They square up 4-6 yards deep rather than come up for the tackle. Even Webb tackles shoulder high. While the team is solid in many respects, it is also very deficient in fundamental tackling and awareness.

It's easy to say go Ravens! We got this, etc. what really benefits this team is sound criticism that can be worked on. Our schedule this year is a tough as it's been in the Harbaugh era. Another new O.C., mixed with a semi-retired Smith and a pile of sophomore and rookie Wr's and TE's and a one year wonder in Forsett and things could get ugly real quick if we get too complacent.

I'm begging Pees to commit to getting the defense of the field sooner rather than the bend but don't break coverage we play every series. I'd like to see them Get more aggressive on D and force some things. What happened in NE, giving up (2) 14 point leads to dink and dunk offense needs to be addressed. Press coverage and better linebacker play is a must.

Oh never mind, go Ravens, I'm sure we'll make the playoffs and take our chances and see where that gets us right? Or we could actually make proactive changes in coaching philosophy and demand results from the respective position coaches and win home field advantage for only the 2nd time in team history.

Its going to be very rare that we see our whole second and third string secondary on the field at the same time. There was no jimmy smith, no Lardarius Webb. Pointer played well with out other starters. It was the first pre season game so relax. We have alot of time left for our secondary to mesh. Im excited about Pointer and Melvin supporting Jimmy and Lardarius.

  10. It has to be Arthur Browns attitude cause he looked very aggressive on the field to me. I think Harbaugh just doesn't like him.

I dont think its Arthur's attitude. Ive heard hes as humble as can be off the field. Constantly reads his bible, constantly in the film room and never goes out. I heard hes a real hard worker. Theres gotta be something else we dont see in practice. He played good last night vs the third string offense but did have that one miscue. I want to see AB play with Mosley and our first string defense to fairly gauge him.

  11. I almost wonder if that wasn't a jab at Dean Pees a little bit and his bend-don't-break approach.  I'm sure I'm reading too much into it, but it does get tiring as a long-time fan when you feel like we never make it easy in the last 2 minutes on D.

Dont get the pees supporters started lol. To be fair, alot of the plays were executed well but very poor tackeling occured. Its only the first game, so we have alot of time to fix this. Not worried.
