  1. Smith Sr has been a real asset to the Ravens. I hope he can be as productive as Derrick Mason was, The similarities are there.
  2. Believe me. Joe Flacco has national fame. They all know his name. He is overlooked because of the stats. Stats is a deceiving word. Manning had the great stats in 2012 but Flacco got the Ring. Joe's best is yet to come. I hope Trestman brings it out of him.
  3. I want to see the Ravens produce a return specialist. It's one position we don't have filled as of yet. KR is up for grabs. Maybe Trestman can pull a deal with one of his former players. One fumbled kick at the wrong time can turn out the lights. No doubt this will be addressed by the Ravens coaching staff.
  4. I'd like to see Asa step up and try out for the return specialist. That is easier said than done. We need a return specialist. This years Ravens defense will force a lot of punts. We can't waste those opportunities. I don't see a return specialist yet. Who ever does it best has himself a job.
  5. It's NFL football. Faster and tougher. I want these players to make it too. There is the intimidation factor. It can make you take your eye off the ball. I hope they both do well when we play the Eagles and Redskins. That will test their concentration.
  6. Wait for Butler and Perriman to take a hit from a top CB/S in preseason gameplay. So far all it's been is kindergarten. Schools about to begin.
  7. It's too soon to make the call about Butler or Perriman. Both rise to the next level with my confidence in both of them. This is going to be preseason football competition at it's best. We must rely on both to catch the ball. After they take a good defensive hit and then bounce right back for a catch, I'll be a believer.
  8. The NFL draft is more than picking the players you need. It's also preventing other teams from getting players they need.
  9. Loaded with DB's....We have 10 players mostly Vets after 5 spots and I'm more concerned about where the players who do not make the team go. Teams are waiting.....Ozzie will be forced to make moves. These moves may be critical to our season.
  10. 10 players mostly veterans going after 5 spots in our secondary. Our secondary. It has to look good.....I'm more concerned about where these DB's go when Ozzie is forced to cut them. Go offense. Let it fly.
  11. WR Perriman should let it fly ( like Torrey did) and design plays to run under the ball for the catch. He needs to learn to get the DB where he wants him. Smith Sr does it. Strength and the right to go after the ball.
  12. Smith Sr can move one step ahead of Derrick Mason as the greatest veteran WR to sign with the Ravens in history. We cut Mason a year too soon. He'd have made the catch that Lee missed. Smith Sr can show the way to Super Bowl 50. Shannon Sharpe was the greatest veteran signed TE/WR we ever had. He really stepped up for Ray in 2000. Ravens ROH IMO. Smith Sr is knocking at the door.
  13. I'd like to see Joe win another Super Bowl Trophy this year and have a career year. If Joe's up to it this could become the Ravens elite offense. That sounds even better. Trestman better make this good. He has a Super Bowl winning QB this year. Not a Jay Cutler.
  14. Urschel better not hurt himself.
  15. The EP kick was originally suppose to be an easy extra point after making a TD. It has always been just that. So now a FG can be much shorter than an EP and it is still worth 3 points. Put the EP back to the 2 yard line. Make the end zones 15 yards deep. That would open up the goal line offense to new extremes. And you won't see a FG attempt from outside your own territory.
  16. Like a player whose been caught using PHD's. An unfair advantage. They should watch him.
  17. The offense has added players at key positions. Adding to that, this may be the best defense we have had since 2000. Play it smart and keep our players fresh as possible. Get everyone into the lineup when the opportunity is there. Even Matt Schaub. Not playing a down for the Ravens like Marc Bulger would be a waste. Joe has nothing to prove to me, but I would like to see Joe have a career year. Offensive MVP would suit me just fine. On to Super Bowl 50.
  18. There are so many former Ravens that deserve ROH consideration. Not that they all qualify. It's like being on the HOF ballot. An honor most players don't ever see. Jarret deserves consideration. He was a very good football player.
  19. This is music to my ears ! Joe has always made the best of things with what he was given. In 2012 it was a Super Bowl caliber winning offense. In 2013 he was forced to throw and with much less nearly had us in the playoffs. This group may turn out to be the best he has ever had. With the current group of players/contracts if things gel, the Ravens could rule the AFC on both sides of the ball for the next 2 years.
