  1. Thank god that bull crap is over. Now who's ready for O's baseball? I know I am!
  2. Harbaugh has lost all credibility in anything he speaks from now on. Not that I ever put much on what he says being the master coach's speak and managing to talk at lengths without actually saying a single thing. This is the guy who said Perriman was day to day...in July!
  3. More and more I see that what Tony Dungy said is the best true quote ever: "The best ability is availability." All these great talented players on the team or across the league, if you can be on the field then you're worthless.
  4. John, I know we've had this talk before. I don't like it when your five thoughts is just a recap of the game. We all saw the game. You need to do better, I want more insightful commentary. Think Jim Palmer, not Mike Bordick. The grass there seriously needs to be remedied. They're gonna hold a SB there?! Think if a slip like that costs a team a championship...and you thought the lights going out got a lot of media traction...?
  5. There's one RB who I know needs work and should still be a Raven.
  6. There it is again...what's with this recurring reference to Breshard Perriman being one of our "top two" receivers? HE HASN'T PLAYED A DOWN! To me he's last on the depth chart.
  7. Well, I'd say playoffs are officially out. Pees has to go, defense has no identity, I don't even know who these guys are. It is clear without Lewis, Reed, Suggs and other greats to cover up for deficiencies this unit cannot cut it. Whoever they are, they need to go back and really study and learn what it means to Play Like a Raven. Loss is on them completely, score 30 at home should equal win, especially against Cleveland. Another shovel goes to Harbaugh for playing for the tie on the last possession of regulation...true Harbaugh poor coaching fashion. My silver lining: With the season looking like one of the worst in a decade, perhaps my wait list number will move this off season by more than only 40 spots.
  8. And he may very well be that guy. I don't doubt his potential, but this is about reporting -- journalism. You simply don't report it that way in print, its lazy and irresponsible to the educated fan.
  9. This is what I dislike about the Ravens' beat writers...it's the mainstream "Mike Greenberg" you know what I mean mentality. You could strive to be great journalists like the mentioned Peter King. A sample from today..."Everything is still ahead of them, but their wide receiver corps is decimated with its top two receivers %u2013 Steve Smith Sr. (back) and Breshad Perriman(knee) %u2013 injured for an undetermined amount of time and Michael Campanaro (back) on injured reserve." Now tell me just exactly how Breshad Perriman can be a Raven top two receiver with out ever playing a SINGLE down?! Lets let him see the field first before you put in the Ring of Honor (which we all know needs a do over anyway).
  10. The team looks exactly like I thought it would now that this new era of Ravens is completely on its own. The issues with the defense are not new, they are simply at the end of their time. The time for unproven young talent and free agent bandaids are simply not enough anymore. This bend but don't break philosophy has been the wrong attitude for the last three years. Time to turn the page. The offense goes as Flacco goes -- which means how effective is the offensive line and run/pass balance. Right now it is very poor and you see the results. Joe is a great QB, but needs the basics around him. Only guys like Brady and Rogers can ALLOW your team excess injuries and/or vulnerabilities. Lastly, and I can say this proudly that I have never been a Harbaugh guy. I support him as our guy but that's it. Personally I attach just about all of his success to the hand he was dealt. Ray Lewis and the old guard supported by Flacco have afforded us the success we have known -- NOT John Harbaugh! You don't need a Navy Seal to give team speeches. Just show a few Ray Lewis highlight reels and they will understand what it means to play like a Raven.
  11. "On The Horizon The Ravens will head to Pittsburgh on a short week to take on the 3-1 Steelers in a pivotal AFC North matchup against their arch rivals Thursday night." How can the Steelers be 3-1 if they have only played 3 games?! Well no one ever accused the Ravens PR staff of being on top of things -- or unbiased for that matter.
