Wow, a negative already? I guess somebody doesn't appreciate my sense of humor. That's just how I see the whole process. A bit drawn out and overly dramatic.
This has all the ear markings of a new drama "CSI: Baltimore" Episode 1: " The Search for the New Offensive Coordinator"
The scene opens as a Mayflower van drives off carrying Jim Caldwell and all his belongings. ... Ok, bad imagery scratch that!
The scene opens with John Harbaugh, Ozzie Newsome and Steve Biscotti scratching their heads. "So now we need a new OC where do we start?"
John: "We can promote Jim Hostler. He has been with the team, knows the team philosophy, and has head coaching experience"
Ozzie:" All that is true but we have been running the same offense for 6 years now and I think we are starting to get a little predictable. Maybe we should look outside the complex.
Steve: I think Ozzie is right. Maybe the time is right to spice up our offense a little. We have time. Let's look at some candidates from other teams.
John: (Rushing out the door) I will attack this with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.
FASTFOWARD SEVERAL DAYS LATER...
John: (Speaking to the media) Thanks for coming today.. I want to announce that we have narrowed the list of suspects... er.. I mean candidates for OC to four. These are Scott Linehan, Kirby Wilson, Kyle Shanahan and Jim Hostler.
FAST FORWARD Jan 23...
Sports media: The Baltimore Ravens have had second interviews with Kirby Wilson, Kyle Shanahan, and Jim Hostler. It is safe to assume at this point that Scott Linehan didn't do it.. er I mean didn't get the job.
General Public: Mumble... Whats taking so long? ... mumble mumble...
FAST FORWARD Jan 24:
Sports media: Kirby Wilson didn't do it... er..didn't get the job. Kyle Shanahan or Jim Hostler? One of these two men is your perpetrator.. er.. I mean new Offensive coordinator. Which one will it be? Tune in next week for the next episode of "CSI: Baltimore" and see.
So are they going to interview them both a third time then make a decision?

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Harbaugh had an interview with an unidentified person for the job today. Maybe neither one of them gets the job.
